My nurse friend just found out yesterday that she no longer has to mask up at the hospital she works at. It’s not a private/small hospital – it’s one with hospitals all over Michigan.

Gonna hit 80 here today.
+1 lizard, sorta, one hitched a ride on my car while I was en route from work to my Thursday support group. So I did my part in keeping local anole gene pools healthy by shuffling contributors around, I guess.
That or I fed a bird somewhere. Hard to say.
Gonna hit 92 here today. Was 90 yesterday. Scott bought a very strong exhaust fan so we don’t have to use the AC so much this Summer. Electricity rates are highest in the nation here.
He installed it in an upstairs window and it is so strong it’s pretty much like a whole-house attic fan but much much quieter. Pulled all the cool air in last couple nights, then we shut the place up during the day. Worked great.
When the hot/ sticky nights happen we will have to use a little AC but we are going to see how well we can manage without it.
I’m going to set up an emergency bedroom downstairs with an AC in it just for those nights, I think.
Man I can’t wait to leave this fucking state.
I really need one of those fans. Upstairs doesn’t get as much ventilation as needed, so downstairs is comfy, and hotter upstairs. Furnace fans runs always.
Nefarious has lots of expectations set, lot of it by me personally, I sure hope it doesn’t suck. But this is the first movie that the entire right-o-sphere has gone full in on. Not even Daily Wire’s movies got this much hype on so many shows.

Trying to figure out how to downgrade my cell phone plan to something more affordable. The plans the online site (T-Mobile, which ate Sprint that I was with this entire frakking century and then some before the merger) offers don’t include the pay-as-you-go-data plans I’m actually interested in. They sure make it hard.
They also don’t seem to go for the rent-to-own model Sprint did. The fee I’m paying for my phone is the least of the issues but, damn guys, you’re bleeding me out here.
Really considering jumping to Mint Mobile or some such. Fuck these money grubbers.

We have a pay as you go T-mobile plan with data. Now we don’t have a lot of data on that plan, but I don’t need it since I’m on wifi at work and home. For 2 lines it only runs us $35. Now if you need more data I think they have higher plans. You can’t get it through their store, it all online. We paid for our own phones.

It’s like having an airplane in your window.
The problem is that it requires a 3 prong plug and says not to use an extension cord because it’s dangerous. I don’t understand how a fan could be dangerous to run on an extension cord. What about an appliance extension cord? Anything with a compressor must draw more than a frickin’ fan, no matter how strong, right?
In other words I want to use it in another window but can’t because we would have to run an extension cord.

Similar here. A few years ago I bought the biggest window unit Lowes that runs on 110 and put it in a window in the center of the house. Kept the entire 1 story house tolerable as long as bed room doors were kept open and a couple small fans running to circulate air. Helluva lot less expensive than running central air.
Dear departed started having breathing issues, so I bought a small window unit for the bedroom, still less expensive than running central….but I had to have an extra blanket on the bed in mid summer for myself.

Tim, Yes it’s like moving to a another carrier. We were on another carrier, but even if you were on T-Mobile you would need a new SIM card for the pay as you go. It was a pain getting my wife and me on the same account. The guy I talked to the first time fucked it all up and it took weeks to get it all straight.
I took a half day of vacation and played golf over by Walla-Walla. Nice course. The blue mountains in the distance had snow on them. Played well, but putted poorly. Just so Mare doesn’t get on me I won most of the money in the group I played with. And don’t apologize Mare, standards must be kept.
