Prep for the certification exam went so-so yesterday. Took the practice exam so I know where my weak spots are so I’ll be studying those more this week. I’m not sure if the hardest part is that I never do most of this crap in daily work, or that I really just don’t give a shit. I hate wasting my educational effort on ephemera. It’s just a program API and configuration, entirely specialized and utterly worthless in any other context. Not in a “but professor, when are we going to use co-sets or need to know isomorphisms to the Viergruppe?” sense, but really, really useless unless you’re doing this exact thing with this exact release of the software.
