Mr. RFH reminded me that there was another trailer for a remake of “Mr. Mom” that looked cringy as hell. I don’t remember the name, and he didn’t, either, so big fail for that trailer. We’re not going to see the movie.
BB did not wear a dress.
Full review of BB -the wedding was nice. Everything else- his voice isn’t pleasant to listen to, even though he isn’t really singing. The latin background noise is nice, but all that often all sounds the same to me. And since I had zero idea what he was singing about … ??
Most foreign artists (even though he isn’t “foreign” – just leaning into his foreigness) sing in English. German bands. French bands. Russian bands. ENGLISH because that’s the biggest market and a unifying language. They may have lines in the their native language, or a song or two – but most of their stuff is English. BB’s choice of singing in Spanish – especially for the superbowl, was a conscience choice. A political one.
Leftists say it is a celebration of diversity. Meh. Spanish folks who push their culture over “ours” are no different than the Muslims who believe Islam is here to conquer. It is at core a non-American sentiment.
And liberals folks are bending over backwards to say how much THEY enjoyed it and how they are simply more cosmopolitan than us hicks.
The cultural moment for Mr Mom has passed, dumb idea.
But being entirely out of ideas is pretty much par for the Hollywood course anymore.
I had my local boys over, and I didn’t want to make a political deal – make waves – so we watched the BAD Bunny one.
As Paula was getting her things together before work I asked her if she really thought her dislike of Bad Bunny’s show was because of her age and she said no. It was a cover story so as not to offend Ben who is closer to the demo who feels like it must enjoy the slop that’s served else wise you’re a racist.
So too she was avoiding the wave making.
Her objection was that we’re a predominantly English speaking country and he should perform in English. Without knowing wtf he was singing it was impossible for her to assess its artistic qualities any further.
Mr. Mom was a good flick. Sweet family film and it dealt with both sexes of homewreckers in a way kids could understand.

The radio has been emphasizing how great the show was. But during election season i can barely listen, as it’s dem talking point sports radio.
Was at a hunting buddy’s home for the SB, so had no control over what was displayed on the boob tube.
I found the SB halftime show to be a chaotic mess of noise that was apparently planned by someone with ADHD. It skipped around from cacophony to cacophony. Very unpleasant to listen to. Likes cats being beaten with other cats.
The NFL won’t die, too popular. But it continues to divide everyone. Which is the point, i’m sure. Jay Z and Goodell agree on that!
Even Carin requires the acoustical coherence of closet fucking for her cat cacophonies.
The droning, awful-sounding rapping makes my brain itch. But he’s marketed himself well. A dash of politics, cultivating an appearance. Many (gay men) seem to be fans because they think he’s hot. So there’s that.
And, I will add that I did catch a seconds-long view of men grinding on each other in the performance, so there’s that.
Halftime show isn’t about football, it’s attracting more customers. still don’t see how this accomplishes that.

Not bad Olympic TV today, curling, luge and speed skating so far, some downhill and slalom. I leave it on most of the day to catch snippets.
