Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Hunky Hump Day. Prayers for Carin that today’s surgery goes well.
Let’s get started.
In this day of auto-tuning and synthetic everything, some real sound is greatly appreciated.
Today’s birthday boy is Michael Biehn, best known as Kyle Reese in “Terminator”.
I could go for some beach time.
Fake redhead for Carin.
Hurt his wrist?
Nice smile.
Last, but not least.
Thank you for your attention, thanks to Pirate’s Cove for the linky love every week, and y’all have a good day.

Beach time guy seems nice.
Who?
She’s the one who’s gonna nuke america with healing crystals.
From the sounds of it CNN challenged Warren about her Medicare for All.
If Oprah likes her she’s probably a hypocrite, a lefty or totally nuts. Possibly a combination of all three.
Chris Matthews was like, “How much are taxes going to be raised?”
Warren: “How much will costs go down.”
Matthews: “That’s not the question. How much will taxes go up?”
Warren: “That’s a Republican talking point.”
Apparently, Crazy Bernie was spouting off on how 500 Billion would be saved because of the complexity of dealing with insurance companies.
Riiight, cause filing claims wit da gubment would be so much more efficient.
Trump in a freaking landslide. Bet the farm.
Shouldn’t it be ‘shoving things up our asses’? Does H2 have a collective ass? *Is* H2 a collective ass?

It’s nothing but asses.
“Nothing but asses all the way down”
Williamson managed to sound almost sane in comparison to some of the others, especially Bernie (who took a bruising from the Medicare for All argument). Plus she appeals to middle class and working class women due to her spirituality and new-age guru BS.
Wake wakey. Have to be at the laser installation joint at 11:30. Watched the debate, but I have a headache this morning listening to the aftermath.
Buttplug is fond of quoting scripture to blast Christians if they don’t agree with his political points. Not a good strategy. He comes across as dumping on Christianity writ large. What a vile Trotskyite.

——–
Did that really happen? And if so, now asking how much things will cost is a “republican talking point?”
So what if it is, if you can’t answer it, why isn’t that a problem?
Trying to find a clip. That was the summary from the morning radio talk show.
It reminds me so much of the typical socialist bs. Just like Obamacare lies.
Don’t think about the costs, think about the savings.
Sure, its the incremental approach…..all Republican Candidates since Reagan have been “hitler”. Any criticism of POC behavior is racist and has nothing to do with their actual behavior. If you are white and support Trump you are a White Nationalist. And now…if you question or criticize a party member you are just making “republican talking points.” (You will see this material again)
There is a ongoing and coordinated effort to denigrate and villify White people and the civilization they have brought to the world since the Renaissance. They (the poc & their handlers) want to displace us. They aren’t builders or creators, they are parasites that want to displace us and benefit from our infrastructure until they collapse it and move on. That is why were seeing the “migrations” to Europe and North America.
This would not be happening without a group of very very wealthy people financing…..

I get your point, Leon, what is weird is that she thought that would be an answer??? WTF. Typical pie in the sky lefty bullshit.
“Why are you asking what it costs, money is a construct of the white patriarchy! Not like when I get paid $400,000 to teach one class, oh and free college for all!”
Thanks, Baka.
This bitch teaches at a college? Hoo boy.
Honestly, as messed up as it sounds Williamson probably has a decent chance at this stage. She’s a loon, probably with dangerously bad ideas, but in comparison to the rest of this band of bozos she’s enough of a breath of fresh air that folks may go to her as a default after being disgusted by the rest of the field.
It’s the equivalent of getting a question about your rat problem and then screaming “racist!”. Total non sequitur meant to dismiss rather than inform.

Exactly!
That is why were seeing the “migrations” to Europe and North America.
Seriously, why all the one way ‘migrating’ but the other way is discouraged because ‘TEH IMPERIALISM!!’? Is it rayciss to notice this?
Having served, albeit only four years, I find Buttplug’s service ripe for some serious op research.
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/442082-documents-provide-glimpse-into-buttigiegs-military-service
He was given a direct commission in the Navy ’cause he was a super-smart McKinsey man. Prior to his Afghanistan deployment, he went to Camp McRady (SC National Guard run training facility) near Relaxin’ Jackson for some good Army training on Convoy Ops, weapons, counter IED, Comms.
He deployed solo to Kabul and assigned to the Afghanistan Threat Finance Cell (ATFC) in Kabul.
He claims to have ‘crossed the wire’ 119 times in his 6-month deployment (he served a total of 9 months of active duty).
“But out on the campaign trail, Buttigieg has talked about the 119 times he says he crossed “outside the wire,” leaving the relative safety of the base as a vehicle commander on convoy security detail in dangerous parts of Kabul.
The article then quotes from his book: ““In a ritual to be repeated dozens of times, I would heave my armored torso into the driver’s seat of a Land Cruiser, chamber a round in my M4, lock the doors and wave a gloved goodbye to the Macedonian gate guard,”
Uh, a Landcruiser? Uh, Driver’s seat. In no convoy I was ever in did the convoy commander drive. I’m calling B.S. More likely he went by himself and therefor was, by default, the convoy commander.
Someone in the GOP needs to be researching Buttplug’s claims. Good reason why below:
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/07/ilhan_omar_exposes_the_gops_achilles_heel.html
Buttplug worked at the freaking embassy in Afghanistan!
from this article: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2011/02/14/the-afghan-bank-heist
The investigation into Kabul Bank was run by a remarkable but little-known group of Americans working at the Embassy called the Afghan Threat Finance Cell. Their findings are considered so sensitive that almost no one—generals, diplomats, the investigators themselves—is willing to talk about them publicly. The unit, made up of agents from the F.B.I., the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Treasury Department, and the Pentagon, has compiled extensive evidence of bribery. “If this were America, fifty people would have been arrested by now,” an American official told me.
I’m not going to piss on his service. There’s plenty to attack him over without delving into that.
Yeah, well, when he starts parlaying his service into grand social schemes, it’s fair play.
https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/29/opinions/pete-buttigieg-2020-national-service-plan/index.html
There are plenty of other arguments against any “national service” plan.
Beyond the moral question about whether the government should be forcing people to work certain jobs, any such program would be a boondoggle. Two years isn’t enough time to do more than either train someone in the basics of a job, or make them do menial tasks without gaining any real skills.
How many young Americans would consider joining a Community Health Corps, helping people dealing with mental health issues and addiction? How many would join an Intergenerational Corps, to serve seniors and ensure that they age well? How many would be excited to be a part of a Climate Corps, supporting first responders in the wake of disaster, weatherizing homes and building our country more sustainably?
This is a bad joke. I don’t want 18 year olds “helping” those with mental health issues or addiction. Ditto seniors, or weatherizing homes. They’d do a shit job for two years and then bail. What it would be in practice is cheap manual labor.
I thought young people dealt with all their mental health issues with
snakeCBD oil.https://fee.org/articles/the-folly-of-federal-training/
I still remember what my dad called “The CETA kids” hanging around my elementary school basically doing nothing but moving from one location to another to avoid being caught napping.
They might need a review session on the 13th amendment. Aw hell, those nozzles need a review session on the whole constitution.
They might need a review session on the 13th amendment.
They’d just argue that it’s no different from the draft and get a liberal judge to agree with them.
A young man my daughter dated for a while did a stretch in the Peace Corp in South Africa. It didn’t appear to mature him one iota. At the time I knew him he was a 15 yo boy walking around in a 27 yo mans body. Last I heard he’s teaching at an English language HS down in puerta Vallarta. Banging 15 yo messican girls every chance he gets if I’m guessing correctly.
Most of those volunteer organizations are an excuse for upper middle class kids and college grads to party overseas for a couple of years.
2 hours of sexual harassment training….
I’ll sum up: treat bitches and homos nice!
“Nice” is the worst thing you can do to a person who needs genuine love. “Nice” leaves them where they are, uncorrected and wrongly feeling justified in their behavior.
“Go be a bitch/homo somewhere else, or stop doing it here” is a loving thing to say, but it ain’t nice.
I’m supposed to do a computer course on “Unconscious Bias” sometime pretty soon. My response needs to be, “Look bitches, I know I’m biased but that’s ok cause I know I’m right. I’m a hostage, motherfucker. Deal with it.” But I’ll prolly just click on the answers I know they want to hear and get it over with.
I have no unconscious bias. I’m a self-aware cynic.
I watched about 15 mins of the debate. I don’t even understand why they have debates.
Can you please lay out your entire health plan?
Ok it’s been 15 seconds. Wrap it up.
“It smells like vagina in here.”
It smells like sausage in here

Smells like fresh cock in here. Wut.
JINX!!
I had a coworker come up behind me and rub my shoulders. I had to tell him twice to get out of my personal space. The second time I told him that if he touches me again, he may find himself on his ass and he’d be the one in trouble.
I don’t believe he was coming on to me as I’ve seen him do it to other women…he just thought himself a sexy sexy man. On the other hand, it was Walmart and his oral hygiene was lacking.
I did not report him because then he’d be out of a job and would be perfectly happy being a welfare whore.
So white people have been increasingly moving to the Republican party over the past 35-45 years.
No one asks why.
So, why?
BECAUSE THEY RAYCISS!
Or are you wondering why they’re not asking?
I wonder why they aren’t asking themselves how they are losing a huge voting block.
They don’t think that they need it. They think that Obama showed them the secret recipe for electoral success. Eleven herbs and spices of racial minorities, urban millennials, women, and gays.
They firmly believe they can make it up with imports, thus the open border. When we had a real border and whites and blacks (aka Heritage America) were more or less evenly split between the parties (with blacks leaning more Republican and “ethnic” whites leaning Democrat), this was a much different, saner place.
To Alex’s point, they’ve also succeeded largely into turning party support into virtue signalling/shaming exercise. Don’t support democrats? YOU HATE LGBT/BLACK/MUSLIMS/INSERT-VICTIM-GROUP-HERE! Hating any group for any reason is bad!
Unless it’s jooooooooooos or christians or white men, then you’re fine and dandy, have a cocktail weenie and a cosmo.
There are a lot of 1 standard deviation intellects that consider themselves ‘elite’. I think that’s their fastest growing demo.
I work with some of those people. They think they can write code when all they can do is C&P chunks of stackoverflow.com.
I’m going to enthusiastically vote for the Cheetoh Based God so I could give 2 Fs.
Let them all eat gluten free cake.
I’m voting for Yang in the Michigan primary.
Open primary? Huh.
I’m considering switching to my FL address so I can nullify my FIL vote.
And tell him about it of course. lolgf
Open primary, always. I have to tell them which ballot I want and that’s that. This is the first time a MI primary hasn’t mattered since ’04, so I plan to enjoy it.
Your mom votes for Wang.
Wang, Dong…they all look the same to me.
I just flipped through 6 months of the NRA magazine, American Rifleman, to reduce some clutter on my desk. In that time Oliver North and Chris Cox’s columns disappeared from the magazine because they were fired by Wayne LaPierre. I must have missed the explanation for their absence in the copies I read. There’s been a lot of murmurings about how the NRA is floundering but it wasn’t described in there.

The owner of Chick-Fil-A saw Paula when she picked Ben up from work yesterday and said “Thanks for sharing Ben with us” and handed her a bag of their chocolate chip cookies. I had one last night and concur, they’re pretty damn good. I think I’ll need to hide one in the fridge because the bag is just about empty after one day and I really don’t need a big fat cookie every day.
I’ve never had a bad anything at Chick-Fil-A.
You need two a day.
Somehow I don’t believe Paula will understand that. She was hovering over my shoulder as I opened my lab report from last week. My glucose level was lower than the last time I had it drawn about 6 years ago. My cholesterol was just a few points above the normal range for my age. She was convinced my labs were going to be bad. While I shared the same concern I had to act like she was being an unreasonable worrier.
I was taking some art out of a frame and the cardboard behind it turned out to be a poster from Caldor, a list of the top 100 8 tracks from July 20 1970.

When Dad and I were restoring the Falcon (it was a Cali car) we found NBC studios stenciling all over the rubber sheet someone had installed to deaden the sound coming from the trunk through the back seat. I assume that is probably what the sheet was used for at the studio as well. We’re also pretty sure the last time it had been on the road was as a girl’s college commuter car based on the parking stickers in the window and In-N-Out receipts that had been used to dab excess lipstick. Used car forensics can be fascinating.

Dan would rather watch Cards/Cubs than D🐀 debate, “Not quite as White night”.
The other day, I was aggressively panhandled by a known wolf. Not waiting to be a victim. Cute gun.

Good god.
This is embarrassing.
Joe Biden is actually the sanest person on stage and he died a few days ago.
Has anyone called Buttplug “Buttplug” yet on live TV?
Riiight, cause filing claims wit da gubment would be so much more efficient.
I have probably told this story before, but here goes. When we were covered under Mr. RFH’s employer, we had a debit card with the flexible savings account money loaded on it. Audit level seemed to be about $150, and then they were pretty good about understanding “it’s another payment on the kid’s braces”. Show the receipt, and we’re kosher.
Now covered under federal employees’ health insurance. They offered a $50 debit card for taking a health survey, so they know
what suggestions to make for better healthwhat to nag you about. Debit card to be used only on health costs. Okay. I take the survey, get the card, use it to pay the co-pay at the doctor. I get a letter with a three-page form demanding proof that I used the debit card on a legitimate health expense, with the threat of a year in jail if I’m perpetuating fraud. I get the big house for a $30 co-pay. Okay. I still have $20 on this card, so I used it to pay $2 and change for what wasn’t covered for an X-ray. I get the same three-page form to fill out. You would think that they could see I’m paying co-pays, not buying bon-bons, but nooooo, I get the big house for less than $3 charge. Fuck this shit. They keep bugging me to “take advantage!” of the $50 for the health survey, and I would have to be pretty damn broke to put up with that shit again.
Then I found $20 and didn’t have to fill out any fucking forms for it.
And yet when it’s something THEY want done, legal or not, anything can be handwaved.
This is why I should never be allowed control of nuclear weapons.
