Welcome to another edition of Hunky Hump Day.
There is a ZZ Top documentary on Netflix, celebrating 50 years as a group. A lot of marriages don’t last that long. Frank Beard admits he did a *lot* of drugs, so the fact that he survived this long is a miracle in of itself.
Now for the hunks. Michael Weatherly from “Bull”.
Nice smile.
One more.
Fake redhead for Carin.

Last, but not least.
Thank you for your attention, thanks to Pirate’s Cove for the linky love every week, and y’all have a good day.

Has Cornavirus Been Here… Since Last Year!?

Interesting article. I read the words and skimmed the graphs. Not enough coffee on board to compute.
Good morning. Paula is off to the gym. 3 other people signed up for the class she’s in. She said the owner of the gym is not allowed into her own gym for some reason. She is in the Air Guard and supposedly that’s who told her. Owner is a former EMT and current gym owner/flight refueler person. I can’t imagine why she can’t go in. Her husband is in the Navy Reserve and he’s allowed in. Gotta be more to the story than I’m hearing.
I wonder if they still show “Darby O’Gill and the Little People” any more? I used to see it on TV around this time of year but haven’t in years.

It’s all about timing.

National Guard (Air and Army) seem to be taking this more seriously than the reserves I’m some states. Especially if the governor is one who closes down the state and turns off the lights. The Guards answer to the governor. Reserve answers to POTUS. I can see the order to stay out of gyms/bars/restaurants being a real thing in some states. Sucks when it’s your own, but the old saying is if the Army wanted you to have a wife, it would have issued you one. Same thing goes for businesses.
Social distancing, economic collapse, low trust, hoarding, paranoia…not once did I ever think the rest of the world would be dragged down into my trench. I honestly don’t know what to make of any of it.
LOL, that’s kinda morbidly funny.
I think we’ll all realize this was a bit hyperbolic pretty soon.
Seriously, think about Hotspur. No more random truck stop blowjobs (giving, not receiving), no more glory holes, etc. On the plus side his gimp mask seems prescient.
If those f***ks in the Senate start giving away money I’ll lose my shit.
And Mitt Romney is a total dick.
It appears that the elderly over 75 are still the most at risk…like every flu, virus outbreak.
I did some figuring this morning. Here’s what I got.
Based on 2015 data, every day 5458 people over the age of 65 die in the US.
235 of them are over the age of 85
1746 are 75-84
1356 are 65-74
Of course, there is a smaller and smaller pool we’re working with as we look at the older brackets.
Flu/pneumonia is the 7th (38241 total a year) leading cause of death (in the US) for people over the age of 75. In comparison, it’s number 18 (410 a year) for those in 25-35 bracket.
There were a couple of funny comments last night and I meant to acknowledge them here … but let’s be honest, I’m too lazy to go back and forth.

The left is breaking down with anxiety.
They are afraid of damn near everything. The weather, seasonal flu, inanimate objects, gluten, modern medicine, disagreement, plastic straws, and most of all, a guy with bad hair and a fake tan.
Social media doesn’t help, either. They love it but it’s really hurting them.
Not watching the news, EVER, seems to be a pretty solid strategy for me to avoid stroking out.
30,000 unemployment claims in CT since friday.
Good job.
You know what? I’m ok with us paying out some money, since the restaurant workers have been displaced through no fault of their own. What better purpose for a safety net is there? We need them after this is over, and if they don’t get some help, they won’t be there.
This is the reason for a safety net, no matter how it’s been misused in the past. This does not compromise conservative principles.
In other news, why do people listen to Jennifer Rubin? Especially conservatives. We always knew she was a snake, now there’s proof.
but let’s be honest, I’m too lazy to go back and forth.
Yeah, those links by the comment box makes it really hard to go back and forth.

As much as I hate the dole and bailouts, this is probably one of the few times I’d say it’s justified. You have to decide whether the expenditure is worse than the effects of a huge chunk of the US population suddenly rendered unemployed and potentially homeless–especially when the circumstances make remedying those on your own particularly difficult.
Oh, and Fuck China.
Even with the handouts, when this is over a lot of restaurants are not going to reopen.
I get that, Car in, and it breaks my heart. I also think it can’t be helped at this time.
Looks like Archdiocese of Mobile is doing what most of y’all see yours doing. Kinda makes it hard for me to get back to services properly, but it’s a strange world right now.
I will withhold judgement until I see what Pelosi gave the unions.
The flip side of this economically is a fact we all sorta knew – the US economy as of 2020 is at least 70-80% bullshit, and has been for 25 years or more. Too much fragility built into the system in the name of “efficiency” and higher profits. And now we all pay the price…but there’s the possibility of better on the other side.
My point, is that this appears to be an easy decision for leaders to make, since they have no skin in the game. Teachers are off with full pay, so they can go fuck themselves too – since many of them are taking the time off to bash Trump’s measures.
Bernie is set to assess his campaign after Tuesday loss
Yeah. We’ve been too long with power and wealth concentrated in the hands of those who feel no consequences for their actions. That will need to be remedied, in one manner or another.
Of course a lot of those hands are also, well, OLD. This potentially makes them vulnerable to the very virus they’re exploiting…
I have a feeling it will be something like this….
Out of work bartender gets unemployment and a check for $1000.
State union worker gets 3 months paid leave and maybe a check.
Oh, I’m sure the unions already have their deal cut. Those campaign contributions bring quick attention.
Seems that sports might have led the way to cancel things. NCAA tournament decisions, from one of the board members that determines who plays, seeds them, and places them. They had to consider a lot of information. Really opens your eyes to the decision making process.

Pollard is a really good speaker, seen him multiple times.
I am now thoroughly convinced that my family already had this and thought it was a bad flu, which almost certainly means that the whole preschool has already had it, which likely means my whole parish has already been exposed, one way or another. I predict no additional local deaths.
I found it. Pelosi’s bill increases spending for food stamps, unemployment, and medicaid. It also requires companies with 50-500 employees to provide 12 weeks paid family leave for workers who self quarantine.
If you own a business with 55 employees you know what to do.
3 months paid vacation for almost everyone!
I was close.
Not influenza a or b, leon? Those are still players this year.
Since it seems that Covid-19 is a recent jump from the animal world, there isn’t a lot of immunity to it, which explains why it’s so easy to catch: no one can resist it.
There are people who went in with symptoms and got flu negative tests. So, this is the population we’re talking about.
Why would she stop at 500?
Is Pelosi’s bill passed, or one that is just coming to a vote?
They already tried to tack on a bunch of stuff to the last bill that was passed, and they eventually gave in. I wouldn’t expect anything less from any upcoming bill from any Democrat.
Why 12 weeks. This is so stupid.
Folks are starting to suspect that the bug back in January & February that everyone called “the Crud” was actually COVID-19 making its first rounds. If that’s true it has potential implications regarding the trajectory of the pandemic.
I’m proud of my fellow Americans for at least one thing. They are buying a shit ton of guns and ammo.
Question, what do you guys consider a low income or ‘poor” salary for a person or family?
It would allow a parent to look after their kids for the rest of the canceled school year.
Is the school year canceled?
How do you get people back to work as soon as they can if they get paid for not working?
^^^^ not a challenge, just a question
Not influenza a or b, leon? Those are still players this year.
Unlikely. I almost never get a fever when I have the flu, and I was at 102F with whatever this was.
Question, what do you guys consider a low income or ‘poor” salary for a person or family?
It’s relative. Around here you can still support a family of 4 on 50k if you live modestly and buy used stuff/clothes. I believe your salary is “poor” if you make less than the benefits you could get if unemployed, which also varies, but for an able-bodied woman in MI with 1+ children I think that can be as high as 35k. No point working for less than that. Men, of course, have to work at a much lower salary because most programs exclude them.
It depends on where you are, but my rule of thumb is that if you are single and can afford to live on your own, you’re not poor. For families, double that amount.
I couldn’t afford the farm on 50k, but that’s only because I’m not using it as one. I could move animals and work full time and do fine on that much salary supplemented by farm income. That’s basically what the farmers who sold me meat last year do, and they both work at Tractor Supply, which gives employee discounts on the whole store, iirc.
I really should look for an ag research grant to rehab the land without a tractor after the line work is done. Documenting that could be really valuable.
Thank you.
We have made plans to go to a wedding in May and I hope that the family has not had to cancel anything.
Imagine weddings happening now, how everything is cocked up.
I’m staying positive that it should be the right side of the curve before May.
NJ had to change its laws because rich people were pretending to be farmers to get out of paying the bulk of their property tax.
Bon Jovi raised bees.
Springsteen leased land to an organic farmer.
Look for the loophole!
Rocketboy said he hopes the June wedding will not be postponed. I think we’ll be done with this by then, but they are planning just in case. The plan is to delay, not have a smaller wedding.
Look for the loophole!
That’s the plan.
If this madness is still on in June, it’s colander facemask time.

Not yet, BUt the whispers are out there.
The guy who runs the comic shop told me that the plastic bag ban that was supposed to happen on Earth Day 2020 is on hold for a year. He stopped buying plastic bags months ago and has a shit ton of paper bags now. They rip nearly every time if you’re not careful. Just yesterday I read a WSJ article about how reusing plastic bags, especially in a pandemic, is just stupid. Hopefully the one year delay lets them “forget” to enact it even longer for reasons of common sense.

Bingo. I talk to you people and watch YouTube and Twitch on my machine, work is on the laptop with all the monitors.
Eventually I need to move you guys over to the old work laptop that I bought. I’ve decided to leave that on Win10 for the sake of games and just do all my personal stuff on it inside of VMWare linux machines.

This is how exactly how I feel.
Hey, come and take my guns and my children if I don’t stay inside. I mean, why not?
Because we’re always on camera I let people see that real life is happening. I’ll pick up the baby and let him say hi to everyone or whatever. It’s life. This is how we work now.
Math and numbers are really hard for people. Me too, I missed the decimal point and my number are this:
Based on 2015 data, every day 5458 people over the age of 65 die in the US.
2355 of them are over the age of 85
1746 are 75-84
1356 are 65-74
so, 5458 older people die EVERY day, and it skews worse the other you get … but if we classify the deaths as a HORRIBLE virus, that 10 or so a day is cause to destroy our society.
You should be super real and take a crap while on camera.

I think I’m going to sneak out later and buy a rifle. I don’t have one and I’ve had my eye on one for a few years.

My office is in the bonus room downstairs. Last week my FIL just walked right by into the bathroom, took a shower, and then walked out.
I can only imagine what my coworkers thought.
He, of course, was clueless.
Seattle is getting hit hard (see Evergreen hospital), and I would guess they are paranoid about that happening everywhere.
On the other hand, I don’t see what good an economic stimulus does right now. Wait a week.
I have two computers here. H2 and AoS are blocked from work. Haven’t tried it on this loaner laptop, but am guessing they are still blocked from here.
I don’t do cameras. NOPE.
I have two rifles that both need to be broken in. One’s a 40+ year old .22, and the the other is a 17yo mini-30 that I bought back when I was briefly a Hoosier. Both semi-auto, neither ever fired.
Hawaii knife show finally cancelled. I was probably going to skip it anyway.
Regardless of how this turns out, I think there will be major changes in the future. Businesses will be reevaluating how they function, working from home, inventory systems, etc.
Looking at the upcoming shelter in place order for New York City. That’s going to be a wreck. I know a few people who live there. They hardly have any food on hand. They usually just pick up dinner on the way home from work, hardly ever cook.
Our local library is closed, I was going to stop in and resuscitate my old library card I got 20 years ago and lost in the interim as well as find out about their system for electronic books to loan.
Other errands this morning
CPA to drop off documents. Door closed/locked with a box outside. I caught the eye of the secretary and handed them directly to her. No way was I leaving them in an unsecured box.
Bangor Savings Bank, all lobbies are closed. Drive up window wasn’t open yet. I haven’t deposited paper checks in an ATM since the days when they used to leave a little stack of envelopes in a window by the ATM. I’m a little anxious just shoving them in the machine and taking it on faith they’ll get to the right place. [This is when MJ says “OK Boomer”]
Comic book store owner glad to see me. Lots of parking available on the street outside. He had one customer all day yesterday. Forgot to ask him if he had any junk silver. It’s on sale now.
Briefly considered stopping at grocery store for a baked bean search but resisted the urge because the lot was half full and I figured we’d be fine. Absence makes the heart grow fonder as the old bards say.

Beer store was open and had a steady stream of customers passing through. 4 pack of Murphy’s Stout for just under 6 bucks.
Post Office was open but they did not have the Maine Bicentennial stamps yet. Clerk said by the end of this week. I’ll check next week, I have a feeling they won’t be moving fast.

Seattle is getting hit hard (see Evergreen hospital), and I would guess they are paranoid about that happening everywhere.
True, which is going to happen whenever it finds it way into a senior or compromised community. Draconian measures should be taken with them.
If you look at death rates by country, and infections … I think they’re going to confirm that many of the things we suspect are going to be true. Older, sicker people are not as good at fighting it off. Germany has had a very small death rate. The measures and precautions necessary vary, imho. Densely populated places may have to enforce stricter things than places like … Lapeer.
You cannot have too many guns or ammo.
Like Leon said, if this shit is still being hyped in June, get the colander face mask out.
Rocketboy did go grocery shopping, bought two weeks’ worth of food, which is what he normally does. He said the only fresh meat available was ground turkey. He did find frozen chicken breasts, which was fine with him.
Ground turkey makes a decent meatloaf or tacos.
You cannot have too many guns or ammo.
——–
Agree. Just when everything seems stable, lots of availability, great prices, something like this comes along and BOOM. No ammo to be found. The first phase is when the online ammo sellers say that orders will be delayed because of high volume. Then items are sold out and finally prices go sky high.
Aside from pandemic scenarios I wonder if a lot of people may think we may not have Orange Man around in his second term to protect the Second Amendment based on all this.
Regardless of how this turns out, I think there will be major changes in the future. Businesses will be reevaluating how they function, working from home, inventory systems, etc.
You would think so, I but I suspect that it won’t. Businesses will line up to move their supply chains to third-world countries and attempt to squeeze out every drop of “efficiency” they can, no matter how fragile it makes them. And while some businesses will be more open to working from home, there are plenty of employees who don’t do well working away from the office, and plenty of managers who won’t trust them.
I’ve made the decision to not go on twitter until this calms down.
Another sanity keeper.
I bought steak and eggs and a roast, so I’m set until Saturday. I’m doing 12-hour eating window, 36-hour fast this week so I don’t need to eat that much.
Italy has a population of 60.8 million. That means that .05% caught the coronavirus. And .004% of their population has died from this.
But then someone can check my math.
the death rate that is reported is deaths/all reported cases right? So testing is just gonna drop that rate, cuz bigger denominator = less ratio.
Yes
but my number is total population affected. Not of those who caught it. .004 % of the population has died in total- 2503 of 60.8 million. But check my math. I gotta run.
I got an email today from a guy offering “software outsourcing to the top 1% of software engineers in Latin America” to my little company (which now exists solely as a flow-through entity to the slightly larger one that bought us).
LOLGFY you POS.
Just got back from the grocery store. It was kind of pleasant.
The panic buying is over. Still out of a lot of stuff but the crowds are gone.
One guy was bitching that he has been to every business in town and there is zero toilet paper.
Our grocery stores limited hours. First hour is for elderly and immune compromised. Last part of the day is for stocking.
And to basically give those poor guys/gals a break! My favorite store walks your grocery cart out to your car for ya, and has a staff in the meat dept.
Ace’s poat on the new Marvel superheroes is hilarious.
Well, if the goal was to kill comic book stores, they’re doing exactly what I’d do.
Most all of pop culture is garbage now. The SJWs got in and run everything now. And since they’re part of massive conglomerates, they can stink up the joint and still not go under.

Or, first pack is regular price, each additional pack has a $20 surcharge added to it, collectively. so, 3rd would be $40

I sent that Brady Buccaneer shirt as a text to to my friend who is the lead x-ray tech in my office. (Big football fan).
He said all the cleaning wipes they had in their exam rooms and storage are missing, presumed stolen. His wife is a pharmacist and got the news that all patients over 18 will no longer be allowed to have visitors. That seems cruel.
Shit just got real real.
I just thought it was interesting that a shoe could make a difference at all. Other than comfort and not giving blisters.
Jimbro, has Brady made a statement? I know that the Bucs offered 30 mil for one year. I know that the Chargers have also made an offer. But I don’t follow Pro football closely anymore.
The sharkskin swimsuits were a huge controversy in 2012 or 2008, I think. No one else had them at the time.

You don’t change presidents in the middle of a war.
Between Brady Belichick and Kraft they have all put out statements describing their admiration for each other in sport and in life but not much more. After 20 years under Belichick I don’t think Brady is going to become a player who talks a lot. He does a weekday radio show in Boston as a weekly call in spot and he doesn’t add much more than the things everyone knows already.
Because there are no other sports and Brady is a big deal he was the topic of all the sports shows yesterday, last night and at least this morning. I don’t know if he’s formally signed. If he hasn’t yet my conspiracy theory is that he’s intentionally delaying it for his friends in the media to let them fill some air time with chatter about it.
I’m okay with him moving on. 20 years, it had to end at some point. I’m glad it didn’t end here with him benched like Eli or injured or irrelevant. Who knows if he’ll win another SB bu unless he’s facing the Patriots I’ll be rooting for him to win another

Why is your FIL taking a shower at your house, MJ? Haven’t you banned him from extended stays, yet?

so, jimbro is gonna start doing crossfit?
My credit union took the affidavit, but that could take 90 days to get it back while I’m short funded NOW. Meanwhile the company that “accepted” the funds straight up stonewalls. I’m plenty pissed off.
That sucks, Tim. I wasn’t quite there when I went through my fraud situation, but it was a close thing.
Went to Walmart at 9 am this morning for some birdseed. Walked the store and there was a line forming for the TP delivery.
‘When is it supposed to be here?’
‘They said it was due at 11.’
I kept walking as I hadn’t eaten breakfast and didn’t want to pass out waiting that long. I would have been around #20 in line. Then I went to talk to my friend up in the bakery. Says they’ve been getting a TP shipment everyday around noon. It’s sold out in 30 minutes…handed out by staff. One lady got pissy when she was handed her two packs and she wanted two more. No can do – two per customer. Hoarders can GFT.
The powers-that-be need to calm the hysteria by – 1. stop the non-stop panic reporting by doing two or three updates per week, and 2. Give people perspective with past flus and 3. tell everyone the food supply chain will continue to move, so stop your f*cking hoarding and go back to your regular shopping schedule.

Why aren’t locals feeding their monkeys? They probably consider them pests that need dying.
Apparently the “Spanish Flu” most likely originated in China also.
And SARS, and MERS. and H1N1…
At what point do we just wall these people in to protect the planet?
I thought H1N1 came from Mexico.
Plague came from china. Add that to your list.
Elliot’s pompadour is awesome. You need to get him a little leather scarf and a miniature pack of cigarettes to roll up.
You’re correct about H1N1, I misremembered that one. Looks like China took a big hit with that one, too.
H1N1
They found that the virus responsible was a mix of one North American swine virus that had jumped between birds, humans, and pigs, and a second Eurasian swine virus, that circulated for more than 10 years in pigs in Mexico before jumping into humans. Previously, the most closely related ancestor viruses to the 2009 H1N1 virus were identified in Asian swine, but they were not as close genetically to the human 2009 pandemic H1N1 virus as the swine Mexican isolates found in this study.[18]
Stop sleeping with your farm animals, and dining on weird shit, you filthy animals.
Oops, left off this..
Initially called an “outbreak”, widespread H1N1 infection was first recognized in the state of Veracruz, Mexico, with evidence that the virus had been present for months before it was officially called an “epidemic”.[1
SARS – from China
MERS –
The first confirmed case was reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012.[17] Egyptian virologist Dr. Ali Mohamed Zaki isolated and identified a previously unknown coronavirus from the man’s lungs.[20][21][22] Dr. Zaki then posted his findings on 24 September 2012 on ProMED-mail.[21][23] The isolated cells showed cytopathic effects (CPE), in the form of rounding and syncytia formation.[23]
A second case was found in September 2012, a 49-year-old male living in Qatar

Our Governor shut down all malls, gyms, and recreational centers. Theaters. Horse Races. Hotels can only be at 50% capacity. Senior Centers are closed but will open for lunch. That makes about as much sense as closing schools then opening cafeterias for free lunch.

Even in the summer they only have limited grocery shopping on the islands
Samaritans Purse is in Italy setting up respiratory aid, etc.. People are grateful…felt abandoned. Hmm.
If you like your socialized medicine, you will probably die due to your socialized medicine.
Jimbro, they’ll have their groceries flown in to them.
Teresa, media isn’t releasing the stabbers citizenship. Grocery employees are considered “Essential” and WM has changed their LOA rules. We are allowed to tell people to step back. 10 are allowed in every 5 minutes. Line finally opened up by 10:15
Pottery Barn and associated affiliates are closing down their brick and mortar for two weeks. Employees will still be paid. Internet side will continue business as usual.
Aunt B is in a senior living place. They shut down the dining room and meals will be delivered to their rooms. Hopefully they shut down visitors and check their staff.
Taxes are done. Fedzilla can go f*ck itself. Oh wait, that’s what they’re doing FUCKERS.
Governor just ordered the malls to close.
No theatres, no casinos, no sports, no shopping, no gyms, no library…
Hoarding of booze begins in 3,2,1
If the Jameson is on sale at Costco, I may hoard it.
Liquor store was busy here, like friday busy. Boy1 got called in to work, Publix had paper towels but no TP. No milk, no eggs, no bread. A lot of produce and a lot of non-perishables. I saw ghirardelli cake mix but it needs eggs.
NC is following suit with the shut down everything mentality, what a stupid time to be on this earth.
I have a feeling they are getting close to shutting everything down.
Malls are too dangerous but not the Target store?
Shut it all down and be done with it.
Hey everybody, Boston didn’t riot with no bars on St. Patrick’s Day and a Tom Brady defection.
Be Boston.
Local news just did a story about this place in Bangor
https://tissueplus.com/
Guy plowed his life savings into a paper factory in June, 2019 and was probably doing okay. They just added a second shift and I bet the line has shifted to All TP/All the time.
Newly minted local hero
Dogs got to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day tonight
I tore up a big piece of corned beef into little bits to mix with their kibble. For a brief moment I was the best human ever.
Scott, our liquor sales have been ridiculous. PA and AL closing liquor stores has fueled a rush. Even our City Council and Governor are afraid of liquor sales. Fastest way to send our Blue State Red.
Jimbro, we’re finishing off our corned beef casserole tonight. Had our dinner on Sunday. MA has always had GI issues. No corned beef for Sir Poopsalot
Rowan has the proverbial cast iron stomach. Only time he vomited like a faucet was when he ate the dead owl carcass. Lola seems to do okay, we haven’t been feeding her nearly as much as Rowan in a quest to get her back to a normal weight.
tell everyone the food supply chain will continue to move
PA governor closed the rest areas. Truckers protested. A few are supposed to re-open. I say PA doesn’t get any shipments if they treat the truckers like shit. Bad enough they can’t get sit-down food.
Roamy, PA has a TP plant that had trucks lined up for hours. We need to prioritize our truckers right now. Free food. Regulations on truckers have been lifted. G-d Bless 45. Mixed loads.
From Catholic Twitter
Last fall, the diocese of Bergamo, Italy, published a prayer to Pachamama on its website “Pachamama of these places, drink and eat this offering, so that this land is fruitful. Pachamama good Mother be generous!”
Thus far 9 of the 12 Italian priests who have died of coronavirus have been from the diocese of Bergamo.
As best as I can tell, there’s over 200 dioceses in Italy.
Grain of salt and all that, but still…
We need to prioritize our truckers right now. Free food.
Weirdpress ate my comment.
Yes. It’s a stressful enough job without making it harder.
Trying to calculate how many years my dad drove. Enough that in the kids’ secret bingo game, there’s a square for “truck driving story”.
Who did he work for?
Watched some video of a youtuber doing some ‘panic’ shopping at Costco…mostly just to see what they have left. No TP, though he got lucky with a huge pack of papertowels on the last pallet.
In the comments, guy says he’s Chinese American living in Hong Kong. He knows the struggle of TP treasure hunt. Said it took two months to stabilize. Hopefully, it won’t take as long for us because we’re in the U.S. but then human nature and all that.
Roamy, did you see Fr Erik’s post about the earthquake? He didn’t do a Homily.
Wiley Sanders for about a week. They wanted him to keep two sets of books, and that was the end of that.
Local propane company for about a year.
North American, mostly electronics and exhibits, for 5? 6? years. He had a clearance at one time, and apparently that won him several jobs hauling sooper secret military stuff.
Osita, I did. Fr. Vincent is saying a rosary at 9:00 my time and will livestream it. I’m going to join in.
I worked the electronics side of a large North American agency in the late 80’s early 90’s.
If he ever made it to Connecticut we probably crossed paths.
Multiple sets of log books was rather common back then, but then again so were “drivin’ pills”.
Blessings. EWTN and my Priest friends on social media thanks to ACE.
Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden passed away. Command module pilot.
Scott, I think he started in 1994, and he certainly went to Connecticut. United Technologies was a big customer.
Yep. If we didn’t cross paths we got pretty close.
I probably worked with his dispatcher in Ft Wayne.
Heh, Ft Wayne Indiana? That’s where my brother lives.
How did NY go from 6 cases to over 2000 in 2 weeks?
That company was messed up. Their left hand didn’t know what the right hand was doing.
I could get loads from the electronics or trade show division for guys that were getting paid by the household division to drive empty.
NYC is pretty gross. Think China without bat meat.
I am not setting foot in NYC unless I’m part of an archeological dig in the ruins.
“Think China without bat meat.”
=======
You sure about that?
Rat meat isn’t better.
No. They probably have bat meat.
Feral dogs and cats, too.
Was it Ft. Wayne or Eufaula? I know he would leave the truck in Eufaula, and Mom would pick him up. Sometimes she rode with him, and sometimes he tag-teamed with another driver.
Tucker nails it!

They may have had something there but the HQ was Ft Wayne Indiana.
One of his trucker stories involved having to appear for a drug piss test within so many hours, and they sent him to a clinic that was mainly for pregnant women and well-baby care somewhere in southern California. He said all the senoritas were staring at him.
I signed a bunch of medical cards as a fake doctor.
It’s how it was.
Dr Scott and Nurse Laura.
Donations exceeded Ruth’s projections.
Got home from work 30 mins ago because of reasons.
Whose turn is it to let me sleep until noon?
