The Trans community seems pretty belligerent and militant, inclined toward violence. I wonder if this is not just a manifestation of their mental illnesses, but that it is predominantly trans women (men pretending to be women) though that doesn’t seem to be the case in Nashville. I am more than willing to accept the proposal that men are inherently more violent than women, statistically. If trans men (women pretending to be men) are getting hormone treatment, aka testosterone, that they are not accustomed to dealing with emotionally, that could also increase their inclination toward violence.
(Add in to the Nashville event the added facet of religious anger. I wouldn’t be surprised if the shooter felt rejected or at least unsupported by the religious school she had attended.)
I would be surprised if they don’t sabotage their political goals completely by getting the general public to think of them as existential threats, and forcing politicians to react.

I have a feeling our oldest grandson is similar to your sweet little guy. He’s all boy but it doesn’t occur to him to hit his sister or throw things near her even when he’s mad about something or be aggressive in general.
