  1. I’d shrimp this Barbie

  2. Last Friday in January with Groundhog Day fast approaching. It’s too early to start hoping for warmer weather but like you chicken fanatics, a man can dream. The increased day light is slowly becoming more obvious.

  3. Wednesday night into Thursday we had snow that turned into rain that continued most of the night and morning hours. I’m guessing when the temps dropped below freezing last night it turned our driveway into a skating rink.

  4. This one has that “I’m stupid” look.

    wakey wakey

  5. We got some drive by comments by Herr last night. He was here a little before my time but sounds like he’s enjoying life. Always good to hear from Hostages from the days when I was a lurker.

This comment also serves as an invitation to any lurkers out there who have thought about adding a comment – please delurk! We’re a mostly fun bunch and the initiation process is virtually painless for the average sphincter.

  6. I’m glad that baby bat was in Israel and not China because it would be in a soup pot before too long

  7. that “I’m stupid” look

    Don’t disagree.

Thank heavens there’s not an IQ Test requirement for entry into the ranks of BBF’ers

  8. I had no idea bats could dance.

  9. Thank heavens there’s not an IQ Test requirement for entry into the ranks of BBF’ers

Wait, I thought it was an IQ cap hereabouts?

    She smiles.

    /stamps “APPROVED”

  10. Reading a story about this place in the WSJ

    https://columbuswashboard.com/

“The Columbus Washboard Co. sells thousands of the wood-and-corrugated-steel boards to musicians, home decorators and back-to-basics consumers”

  11. There is another baby bat rescue video that I’m trying to watch, but it’s on facedouche and sometimes they don’t work for me.

  12. So, I watched the Covid drug thing on Tucker last night and I told my husband after a minute that he was a gay man flirting.

  13. Continuing the low-IQ female theme, the last tweet (“Jerry”) linked in the ONT last night is hilarious. Sadly, the gal must be an idiot, and I hope she didn’t get too bad a bruise on her tata, but it’s still fucking funny.

Here, in case you didn’t see it, sound ON:

  14. She’s been smart enough to avoid ink so far, so that’s a plus.

  15. She has pretty skin.

  16. No tatts because she’s probably 17

  17. Born in ’01 so she’s able to sign legal documents. Gravity has not had a long time to act on her at this point

  18. For some reason this tweet and several similar ones followed the ONT WTF tweet

  19. Well, I don’t have my left kidney.

  20. I don’t get it. Who would give a kidney for that skank?

  21. It’s a trick. A week later you’ll just be down a kidney.

  22. Model gif is cute.

  23. That’s what I thought, the old story about waking up in a sleazy hotel bathtub with a scar on your flank and having your last memory being approached by a hot woman in a bar who bought you a drink.

Happened a lot back in the early days of the internet

  24. allegedly

  25. I JUST WANNA SWIM

  26. I just want to walk in the sun.

  27. Bally Sports is going bankrupt. Maybe next season the Braves will be on a network I’ll actually watch.

  28. Didn’t the gym chain go under like 15 years ago now?

  29. The kidney is probably lower maintenance.

  30. https://www.theepochtimes.com/florida-teachers-shut-down-classroom-libraries-in-fear-of-felony-charges_5006486.html

If you didn’t have shitty books in your library, you wouldn’t be afraid of an audit or of going to jail.

  31. oh great, now who will have baseball? went from Fox sports to Bally, now what?

  32. I don’t know, Leon.

  33. all books belong in a library, not all books belong in a curriculum.

Why not include an actual history book, and not a made up one like 1619 project?

  34. well Bally still has a hotel in Vegas

  35. I would argue that kiddie porn does not belong in a library, it belongs in a bonfire.

Some of the teachers are saying they will leave Florida and teach elsewhere, and I say good, but don’t come to Alabama.

  36. they always say they’re gonna leave, but they never do. The goings too good in FLA

  37. I think I recently read DeSantis just made union dues optional for FL teachers. Either that or they had to opt in to paying them. Either way, it has been done before in WI I think and their numbers plummeted.

  38. 7 degrees yesterday, 37 and snow today.

    ha!

  40. The fitness chain chapter 11’d twice, and sold off nearly all the facilities since 2011. Not quite 15 years. I never knew the parent company as a commercial entity (they make slot machines, thus the Vegas hotel), so I only ever knew them by the gyms that were famously skeezy and questionable with their membership terms.

  41. Some of the teachers are saying they will leave Florida and teach elsewhere, and I say good, but don’t come to Alabama.

Detroit welcomes you! Be a her-o and teach in the inner city!

  42. Now this is a chick I could get behind.

  43. Wasn’t there a movie about a guy who woke up in a bathtub and his kidneys were removed and he had like five hours to track somebody down in order to get them back?

Maybe it was an episode in a TV series, but I’m drawing a blank.

    Don’t judge me.

  44. heh, too late

  45. Pound of Flesh: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3488328/?ref_=tt_urv

Didn’t think Jean Claude Van Damm would be your thing!

  46. This young lady looks a vaguely Teutonic version of Sophia Vergara. I’d like to hear her talk and see what her accent does for me. Sophia’s accent = ===|)

Also, I’ll bet there’s a pretty face underneath all that mascara. We’ll prolly never know for sure.

  47. This whole Damar thing is getting weird. Dead or alive? I feel like I need a tin foil hat.

  48. *judging

  49. It’s not like they can hide it for long if Damar’s dead. My guess is that he’s got partial paralysis or is non-verbal, and they’re hoping that’ll pass eventually.

  50. There was also an episode in the Justified series that involved involuntary organ donations.

  51. Excellent body specs, but IQ = In Question.
Also, fake eyelashes? She don’t need ’em.

    Nice job, pupster!

  52. There was also an episode in the Justified series that involved involuntary organ donations.

    ding ding ding

Yeah, I can picture it now. It was Dewey Crow. I loved that guy.

  53. heh, Dewey was a peach. “Here’s your kidneys!”

  54. Speaking of organ donations:

  55. “here is my horse” link here

  56. whoa, TVA rationing story at AOS. I always thought of the TVA as innovative, and something to build on. But government ruined that too, starting with the nuclear plant being phased out. Now they can’t provide enough power.

When will we get widespread nuclear? It’s the only current answer to power needs and desire for less pollution.

  57. Havarti is good cheese.

    Discuss

  58. I agree. It’s a little mild for my taste, but still good.

  59. one of my favorites. It’s too mild to include with anything, but great just on a slice of good bread.

  60. of course it’s good, it’s Danish

  61. It’s no muenster, but I wouldn’t shun it on a tray.

  62. why are we listening to mare/mj?

  63. I didn’t have anything else on my mind, really. It’s Friday and I’m doing training labs for a SIEM* tool I’ve never used.

    *Security Information and Event Management

I’ll let you know if I spot HM’s kid busting the firewall.

  64. Because you like cheese. Everyone does.

  65. security events? heh, the catch on that has to be a ball of fun.

  66. Havarti melts great too. Really good for grilled cheese or on anything you want the cheese melted.

  67. She’s pretty, but she also appears to have only two facial expressions.

  68. Big thumbs up for today’s gal. There was a gif were she had no makeup on for part of it. She’s still very pretty without it.

  69. I work for a reseller/integrator of such things nowadays, Jay. I’m back to doing cybersecurity. Just need another 5 years or so.

  70. twitter: Pelosi bodycam footage released

this is fucked up. It goes from zero to WTF in a hurry, starting with opening the door with a cocktail.

  71. A man holding a mixed drink isn’t typically simultaneously imperiled.

Who’s got the knives out for Pelosi? Is she just out of juice or is The Party pushing her out with a warning to stay quiet?

  72. I can see why they used all of their influence to bury it. Fuckboi gone wrong.

  73. Looks like your average get-together in the Tenderloin District.

  74. Idle thought I had recently:

God lets the truly evil people live longer to both
    1) give them more time and opportunity to repent
    2) torment the rest of us so that we long for His justice

  78. Don’t know. So far my wife is okay but time will tell.

  79. I have a sister-in-law who goes to a restaurant and orders cheese like this, “We’ll have 4 of your stinkiest cheeses.”

We always end up with a fabulous array.

There is absolutely no question about it.

  81. Pelosi was drunker than shit.

    That describes me.

  92. Twitter Files 15: The Hamilton 68

Never heard of it, but this one is a doozy.

  93. they knew all along it was fake, and covered it up. Twitter execs have been lying all along.

  94. Disappointing my wife continuously throughout all of 2020, I never got the jab. I’m thankful I stuck to my convictions. That being said, I’d be devastated if she dropped dead of unknown causes. She’s already dodged two bullets, a stroke and a tumor inside her heart that has to be removed.

  95. Had to be removed. Past tense. 2015.

  98. a) Velveeta isn’t cheese
    2) I don’t know how anyone over the age of 12 can eat American singles

  99. I like them! good old fashioned grilled cheese.

  100. I don’t know how anyone over the age of 12 can eat American singles

I don’t know that I’ve ever met a real life cheese snob.

  101. My palate can’t tolerate them anymore. I get a little sick thinking about eating most “kid foods” now. Can’t really eat ketchup, hot dogs, or any canned pasta either.

  102. Is this real life?

  103. You haven’t lived until you’ve attended a “fish sticks and Cheese Whiz” party!

  104. It’s not even deliberate snobbery, there’s something in the flavor profile that overwhelms and disgusts me now.

  105. Like any good American I am colorblind when it comes to cheese. My favorite tex-mex restaurant uses white american for their queso sauce.

Growing up my mom bought American cheese by the wax covered brick, the fancy kids got individually wrapped singles and I was jelly.

  106. Ronna Romney is going to aim to go 0 for 6 after her reelection to chair the RNC!

  107. Grilled cheese sandwiches made with Velveeta is comfort food. It was a staple when I stayed home sick from school.

American cheese slices are the only thing I’ll put on a homemade burger to make a cheeseburger.

I’d guess that a bologna & American cheese sandwich with ketchup is not on leon’s list of favorite foods.

  108. *sung to the tune of “Young American”*

Holy crap, Pendejo. All the best to both of you!

  110. My grandfather often took the government cheese when it was offered at his high rise and gave it to my mom for us kids. I made a lot of cheese, pickle and mustard sandwiches as a kid.

We got a few #10 cans of peanut butter but my dad always brought those for Boy Scout camp outs.

  111. I use colby-jack on burgers.

  112. Or muenster, or just cheddar.

  113. I like that dip that’s made with Velveeta. I’ll enjoy it if I don’t overthink it.

Now if someone reads the ingredients of that cheese while I’m woofing it down with chips I may not enjoy it as much.

“Skim Milk, Milk, Canola Oil, Milk Protein Concentrate, Sodium Phosphate, Contains Less than 2% of Modified Food Starch, Whey Protein Concentrate, Maltodextrin, Whey, Salt, Calcium Phosphate, Lactic Acid, Sorbic Acid as a Preservative, Milkfat, Sodium Alginate, Sodium Citrate, Enzymes, Apocarotenal and Annatto (Color), Cheese Culture, Vitamin A Palmitate.”

  114. Zeke is picky, he will only take his meds in a ball of velveeta or cream cheese, or stuck in a hotdog. I somewhat regularly have a chili cheese dog if I don’t want to cook.

  115. Last time I had to give meds to Rowan I bought some of those Greenies brand pill pockets. They worked great. We had to fight off the other dogs who thought they were getting cheated out of a snack.

  116. i see jimbro beat me to it. Regardless, Amanda is prettier

  117. No argument there!

  118. I have made my own “American” cheese it is simple, melt a good extra sharp cheddar in a little milk, add sodium citrate, and sodium hexametaphosphate.
It then tastes like cheddar and melts and slices like Velveeta.

  119. I bought some sodium citrate. Is the hexametaphosphate necessary?

  120. Those work great on my other dogs Jimbro but not Zeke. Chunky peanut butter can hide all kinds of pills, but again Zeke hates it.

  121. elliot loves the greenies too. Peanut butter dog.

  122. I could have this reversed Jay, one keeps it from breaking into oil, the other keeps it soft and melts smoother

  123. BWAHAHAHAHA

  134. Sounds like prime conditions for a higher salary

Because of the two job changes since Brandon asked for my resignation, I’m beating inflation pretty well. Can’t complain about that. But I don’t love the work and I’m just trying to finish the race at this point so I can do something useful and pleasant in my autumn years.

I’m white as they get and I’m cringing.

  143. Queso really wasn’t a thing growing up. Quesadilla…no se. we didn’t have bread. We had tortillas. We melted cheese on our tortillas. Didn’t have a name.

  144. We got a new Charcuterie cookbook. Taste of Home. Chocolate Chip cheese ball recipe. Chocolate board.

  145. Evening Closely Held Tony Danzas. I am a lover of most cheese, except the goat milk varieties. Never cottoned to those. Nothing wrong with Velveeta + Ro-tel. I currently have a most delicious home-made blue cheese dip / dressing in my refrigerator.

Regarding the Pelosi video, I can’t figure out who opens the door. Hammer man has both hands on the hammer, Paul has one on it and a drink in the other. Hard to tell what kind of door-opening mechanism they have, but he looks a little too far away to open with the drink hand anyway. It’s all very strange.

  146. Mitchell, Dan made a Bleu Cheese ball for Christmas. It was seriously yummy.

  147. Eh. I make my grilled cheese with sharp cheddar and swiss. I may be slightly snobbish. Or maybe I’m just weird.

I have never heard of this system but it is excellent.

  153. Jimbro, when I was in Vienna BITD, the bread and cheese baskets were the best things EVER.

  154. When I made the European tour I was at the tail end of my 4th year of med school and my brother was in the second semester of his year abroad so finances were tight. There was a lot of eat a meal versus have money for beer decision making as the month progressed. After returning to the US and waiting for my internship to start I ended up carrying a credit card balance one of the few times in my life. Worth it for the experience though.
