Finally at 0200 I enlisted Paula to trephine it using a fork tine heated with the flame on the gas burner. Not much blood came out, only a few drops so I took some Tylenol and read my kindle for a while and finally fell asleep. It feels at least 50 to 70% better today than it did last night.

Speaking of governmental surveys and the like, I refuse to answer most of the questions on the US Census. AFAIC, the census only needs to know how many live in my household, and their ages. That is counting the population. They don’t need to know my race, my income, or any of the other prying, privacy-intruding things that they feel entitled to.
