HHD 06-15-22

Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Hunky Hump Day.
First, the song of the day. This’ll be me tomorrow morning, I hope. Gotta have the Bob Seger version.

Now for the hunks. Continuing the calisthenics pics.

Found another redhead for Carin.

Too floofy?

Angry at his flexors?

Flyin’

Last, but not least.

Thanks to Pirate’s Cove for the linky love every week. Y’all have a good day. Prayers for those traveling this week.

I’m going to have to read all about heat pumps over the next few weeks in order to get up to speed. Right now it’s really comfortable outside – not too hot or muggy at all. Apparently they’re good at keeping your house cool but we’d have to shut all the windows for that to happen. I’m a big fan of open windows and fans to keep the air moving as most people with 3 dogs would be. It’s also in the same room as our wood stove which may affect how t runs. Who knew it would be so complicated?

Safe travels Roamie. RE: Floofy, I met with a product rep the other day, he had a big floofy hairdo that I couldn’t really fathom, it was like the part was just above the ear and swooped all the way from the back of his head in a side part with really long hair. It may have been a hairpiece but it looked really alien to me. I guess he doesn’t have anybody in his life to tell him it looks ridiculous. Honestly it was so distracting I quit making eye contact with him 5 minutes into the meeting.

Anyone remember when Reddit was a free speech platform?

A few years back it changed to allow speech control and introduced ads. It’s basically a mix of middle aged life failures.

The ads are for diabetes control and bug spray. Occasionally a low interest – 29% – credit offer.

It would be sad if it wasn’t so predictable.

  10. Comment by lumps on June 15, 2022 7:33 am

Wrt opening windows when its hot outside: My family used to drive me crazy with that shit. Our old house was like a cold vault if you kept the windows shut when it started getting hot out. But noooo, inevitably someone would fling them all open for ‘fresh air’ and then sit around bitching that it was so hot.

The house I’m in now stays pretty cool if I can get cold enough night air into it and then shut all the windows on the east side when the sun starts to hit the brick patio back there, and then close the rest of the windows as soon as the air coming in those starts to feel warm. And then I also shut the blinds on the sun.

When the night temps are within 10 degrees or so of favored indoor temp, this won’t work and we go full AC.

  11. Comment by lumps on June 15, 2022 7:40 am

Our warehouse space is located in a building that as far as we can tell is a cold vault on our side of the building. Scott said some asshole opened a far door and started letting all the hot air in our hallway.

If this shit continues I’m gonna cut a bitch.

HOW do people get the idea to open windows and doors when it’s like a furnace outside? Seriously what is the fucking thought process.

  12. Comment by Pendejo on June 15, 2022 7:44 am

We open windows off and on from mid November to mid March. The other eight months are pretty much a full lockdown.

  13. Comment by lumps on June 15, 2022 7:49 am

The renaming monkeypox article is hilarious because it mentions how AFP Africa asked news organizations to stop using images of African people to illustrate their European disease outbreak. These scientists looking to rename the disease likely took it entirely the wrong way.

I would bet you anything that the reason AFP Africa did that was because they understand the association with European gay orgies and resent Africans being roped into that association. Same as how the Zambians rejected the gay flag on their embassy. They don’t condone that shit. They never asked that the disease be renamed, which is insulting in itself, because why the fuck do you care if its a disease named after monkeys?

  14. Comment by leoncaruthers on June 15, 2022 8:00 am

Dead right, Lumps. Monkeypox in the West is a gay orgy disease and the Africans know it. Using stock photos of African tribesmen rather than Bootyjug types with skin lesions paints a false picture.

At this rate, Wakanda isn’t going to stay fiction for long. Africa may be all that’s left standing if China collapses before they can plunder it.

Yeah, I get the whole “shutting down the house” thing and I’ve done that before but I married a Fresh Air Person and ventilation is my life now. The one area I’ve succeeded in shutting down is our bedroom when we’ve run the AC overnight. Keeping it shut down really helps with cooling it down at night rather than having to chill the entire structure all over again

I like both actors, and I think both did a fine job with the role, although they each played it very differently.

I preferred the grittiness and more realistic (in my mind) depiction of a consumption ridden gambler. Keep in mind gambling wasn’t considered the low-life position that it typically calls to mind today.

So in that regard I give the nod to Dennis Quaid.

But to give Val Kilmer his due, he played the role the way most people today picture Doc Holliday – a slick, southern gentleman, and womanizing, card shark.

And in this regard I give a big nod to Kilmer.

I can’t decide who played the part better. I can only say that I prefer the gritty, sick Doc.

Were at something like $42B at least. Remember when 0 wanted 92B for his first ‘stimulus’ package and that was a big effin’ deal?

    Good times.

I try real hard not to find a conspiracy under every rock. I try real hard to be a glass half full guy. But both of these things happened today. My wife wants to go to NE and look at trees lose their leaves and shit in the fall and I have enough timeshare points and enough Southwest Rapid Rewards points to make it happen for free……or at least money already wasted. When I try to log in to my Rapid Rewards account it says, “Sorry Charlie, we can’t log you in at this time.” So I cant use points if I can’t log in. I’m guessing they’d sell me tickets for cash money but i haven’t tried.

Then I go over to expedia. I’ve got some hotel coupons stashed over there I was gonna use for another trip later on in the year and when I try to click on them to use em it just sends me to a blank screen and quits. When I go to the virtual agent and click on that tab to get help it answers with, “Virtual agent has been disabled.”

There must be some serious cages getting rattled in the travel business these days. And I’m becoming a glass half empty guy pretty quick. Fuck Joe Biden and every cocksucker who had anything to do with installing his ass.

OMG, that piece where lefties that manage activist orgs are aghast at having the race card pulled on them is *chef’s kiss*

Hmmm, people that you applauded for spending their entire college careers being taught to harm other people for personal gain, are expecting to profit from the same behavior at your place of work? Weird.

Lefty orgs never seem to get taken over by a cabal of their enemies, just by grifters who are using the losers who work there as tools or slaves. Is that the same thing, or no?

I’d so much rather see Antifa ‘accidentally’ attacking companies with high ESG scores, but I’ll take sclerotic immobility due to internal dissent.

The woke are hostis humani generis, let the left enjoy being harassed by the biting flies they themselves bred and loosed on the world.

Spending an inordinate amount of time dealing with personnel issues instead of your main business is not only an exhausting ordeal but a drain on resources. Right in the start of a long recession- and it WILL be a long one. Many of these orgs will go out of business.

Lol, I did. Such a combination of lazy AND uniformed.

So, lol – erin’s sailor (ES) likes basically the same music I do. It’s one of the reasons Ethan and him got to be friends in boot camp. Erin’s going out to visit him again this weekend and he wanted to know if she wanted to go see Slipknot on Saturday. Lol.

    ABSOLUTELY NOT.

This is like a nutritious insult-ramen.

Nobody on earth, not even your mother, if you have one, gives a fuck about what you think about anything. Most people would rather gouge their eyes out than read your drivel. You are an almost unassailable argument for shutting down the Internet; single-handedly you undermine the case for freedom of speech.

The Saviour himself, encountering you on the mountain, would say Fuck me, not this cunt again, does he ever, ever, ever even for a fucking second, shut the fuck up and just be? Or does he think that he spellbinds his betters, enchants his peers and renders reality herself incomplete without his penny’s worth? This is one cunt and a half, lads.
