So Ollie is officially done at daycare. We originally had it going when I was working part time and he went those days. We kept it going to keep him socialized with other people and dogs and, frankly, to give the big dogs and us a break from his rambunctious behavior. But at this point it’s just an added expense we don’t need and I’m here to watch him most days.
The ladies at the daycare were sad. He’s quite the funny dog when he’s not being an asshole.
We still don’t trust him out of the crate when we’re gone more than 10 or 15 minutes so he goes in when we’re gone longer. Hopefully he’ll grow the fuck out of his destructive phase before too long. Rowan turned the corner at around 2 years old, we’re hoping the same for Ollie.
I was gonna ask if you have considered beatings, but then I remembered he’s a cattle dog and beatings don’t work.
He is snuggly for the last 30 minutes or so of the day when he hops up on the bed between us. After the lights are out he’ll calmly lay there and get behind the ear scritches. When I close my kindle he immediately hops out of bed and either sleeps on his dog bed or under our bed. We’re woken to the sounds of him wrestling with Rowan and stepping on our spleens with no regard for personal space. He is quite the lovable goober.
Most hot water heaters are designed to fall apart in 6-12 years.

The sole US manufacturer i only honoring existing contracts which makes sense. I’;m sure they’re facing raw material shortages too.
