Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Hunky Hump Day.
First, the song.
Now for the hunk. Today we focus on Charlie Matthews, the Guess model. Found a whole bunch of his pics, so I’m going to be lazy today.
We’ll pretend he’s a redhead for a moment.
Workout.
Somewhere in La La Land.
Profile.
And finally.
Thanks to Pirate’s Cove for the linky love every week. Y’all have a good day.

Good morning, early birds.
Hullo, all! Might actually get to go home in a couple of weeks – went to the courthouse today to get probate paperwork taken care of.
Gonna be a rainout here the next few days. But I have all my flats and potting soil and tags set in the little baby tent greenhouse so I can sow my spring goodies in comfort.
Best $40 I ever spent.
All my tomatoes are up, I need to prick them out of their communal flats and set them into individual cells.
I’m excited to breed a couple of these plants this year. I’m going to cross Lord Humongous with a couple of cherry tomatoes and an Amish Paste, see what happens. Hoping to get some more flavor in Humongous. I hear cherry x large tomato hybrids can get some good results. Only problem is that then I will be tasked with growing out a good number of the F1, F2, F3… generations every year and make selections for at least seven years if I want to develop a stable OP cross. I really don’t have enough space to do that with more than one or two crosses, plus keep up with the selection process I am already doing with the strains I’ve been developing.
Think I’ll just grow out the F1 generations and keep using the same seeds for a few years if I like them, then move on to something else. We shall see.
Good luck TiF. My sister just mailed me a check in late March, about a year and a half following my mom’s death. There were a few wrinkles including a home sale, a question about my grandmother’s house in Ireland and some others. After messing around with a lawyer who just wanted to extract his fees seemingly indefinitely she fired him and got the stuff done on her own. My mother had a lawyer who was good but she ended up retiring shortly after my mom passed.
OK so I checked out the mylar bag situation and it’s way cheaper and takes up less space, more portable, etc. than using canning jars. Getting mine from PackFreshUSA.
Welp, sleep sucked again. Just trying to get through the week to take time off to properly reset and recharge now. Praying I don’t fuck something up hardcore in the meanwhile.
Wakey wakey
Yesterday was the somber anniversary of Layne Staley’s death. AND Kurt Cobain’s.
Here’s the project designed to save him. It didn’t .
From comments on that video …
” lost my son to an overdose in November 2019. He wrote constantly in journals. The lyrics to this song were in his final writings. My son was a musician, talented guitar player and writer. We had always bonded with music and had talked about this song not long before he left this world. If people want to be outraged about something, be outraged that there are few options for addicts.”
Well, the option is to quit. I mean, I don’t really know what magic potion they want? As anyone knows who knows ANY addicts, there are plenty of treatment programs. They often don’t work. Because at the base the choice is the addicts. To stop using.
I know this is a big talking point. We need to DO something.
Well … what? what is it we need to do?
Pretty sure they sent Layne to SEVERAL treatment programs. And money wasn’t an issue for him.
It eventually came down to him choosing the drug, over life, every day.
You have to want to change. I’ve learned that from my own time in recovery for my own issues. It’s complicated for them by the chemicals and who knows what else but at bottom you have to want to change.
If you’re not ready, nothing will ever work. And the end is all but written.
who knows what else but at bottom you have to want to change.
This^^
Telling people that they have a “disease” and that they can’t do it on their own does not work for a lot of people.
If it works for you – great.
Oh I agree . I just want these folks who say we don’t do enough for addicts to tell me what we should be doing.
Brain feedback loops are like well-worn ruts, they are hard to break out of and forge a new way. At a certain point in a powerful addiction like with heroin or painkillers, the person’s humanity has broken down and their consciousness only exists as a point in the feedback loop, aimed at one goal: trigger, thought, craving, using (relief), trigger, thought, craving, using (relief).
The main issue with the addicts I knew is that after rehab, no matter how optimistic they are for the future and to be done with drugs forever, they go back home, where even the sight of the front door is a trigger to start using. “This is what I do when I am here.” They are trained to crave by every familiar situation, like Pavlov’s dogs. Never mind the fact that their ‘friends’ and quite often family are all users too.
That’s why nobody rehabs at home. People need to be plucked from their surroundings and dropped into a strange drug-free place with no user-memories attached to it, to get half a chance. But unfortunately they can’t stay in rehab forever.

Good to know!!
I’m assuming you will purchase on amazon?
Scott wanted you to look at a little dinghy that he posted last night Hotspur
…and of course you also have the human brain’s ability to discount every danger and rationalize every illicit need.
No, I try to buy directly from the company now, even if it costs me a little more than on Bezos’ site. I went to packfreshusa.com
It’s true for things other than chemicals, or maybe I should say externally sourced chemicals. The dopamine hit from gambling or other things can be just as powerful.
Then you get poor shmucks like me addicted to misery and despair and desperately trying to find the exit. Not going on about my own problems so much as to say that, yes, often they can’t do it completely on their own and need help, but first you have to have that willingness to make the changes or else rehab is a speedbump. But it can be the first step to better IF the follow-through is there and the means to maintain and progress are in place.
Which…well, that applies to pretty much all of life, doesn’t it?
This is the place she mentioned Mare
https://packfreshusa.com/
I’ve been doing a lot more purchases directly from merchants and cutting out amazon since the whole parler thing
we are simpatico
Tim, I knew an entire family that had the gambling gene. It was obviously pathological. Every time they all got together, no matter where or when, they all ended up at the casino. They would talk about it afterwards and you could tell they were lit up by it.
maybe the government can take over addiction cures. They would be great at that.
that site has great prices on mylar bags, but https://vacuumsealersunlimited.com/ has better prices on vacuum sealer bags. At least the chamber type.
Chamber vacuums work on mylar. Been using mine on commercial bags, like resealing panko bread crumbs and packs of sassafras.
our long national nightmare is over:

Recovery’s a complicated thing. Biology. Psychology. A VERY distinct spiritual component. Environment. You can’t just address one aspect and expect success. So many moving parts.
I’ve known people who “just stopped”. They never mention the other changes they made. Trust me, they made those changes.
Thanks for the link, Jimbro.
I have no problem not using Amazon. No problem.

Scott Presler gets shit done. I hope he can do it. Fighting the Mormons is difficult in Utah. Why do you think that POS Romney ran back there?

When I was driving around this morning I flipped to the sports radio station to escape commercials and they were going on and on about some Star Wars hotel experience — at length. Like, I got sick of listening to it and switched to classic rock and when the song went to a commercial I went back and they were still on it. Then it dawned on me, this wasn’t the local sports talkers, this was a national ESPN program and Disney I’m sure is eager for the free publicity. Makes me wonder how much it has hurt them.
Disney is convinced that this will help their bottom line in the same way Nike benefited from the professional kneelers. Not only was Nike the most popular brand to loot but the people who actually paid for shoes bought them to show that they were down with the cause. Disney figures all the gay people + sympathizers will flock to Disney products to replace the Normals who they’ve driven away.
boring day in sports. Maybe it’s a coincidence. They were talking all sorts of nonsense here too.
Friday Night Tights says the Star Wars Experience is still full on covidstan. Proof of vaccine or proof of no infection for 72 hours and a mask that they provide.
Also, Star Wars ended in the 80s, everything since is just fan fiction with the same soundtrack.
heh, another Chrissie Mayr fan?
Nerdrotic and Mauler, mainly, and only because they chat with Critical Drinker.
where is that podcast? I see the clips on youtube, should listen to the whole thing.
quarter black garrett works for nerdrotic now. Not sure why he left Louder with Crowder.
Nerdrotic’s youtube channel. Content is NSFW and FNT runs looooooooooooooooooooooong.

I’m going to get my car detailed. Its too late for Sobek, but I’ll enjoy it.
(I gave him a quick ride in my car and my car is at an all time low for cleanliness right now)
But my WINDOWS – J’ames. they look great.
you skipped the high ones, didn’t you?
Whatever. I just didn’t get to them yet.
lol
actually my new cloths can’t be used for those since I have to use the tools to reach them.
Viewing for MIL is later today. BIL just called…”Just got in a car accident..car totaled…taking wife to get checked out (she has a history of back problems)…will try to be there.”
Guy can’t catch a break.
Osh.
Sorry about your MIL but it sounds like her passing was joyous to her.
Jay, that’s a great Twitter thread.
Thank you, Carin, I believe it was.
She wasn’t a person who smiled much, in general. She was very much an introvert and Swabian to the bone. She was miserable the past year and a half…and other than acknowledging the priest and grandkids, there was no other interaction on her part the past couple of weeks…so her going out with a smile is a big deal.
I’m glad her sons were there to witness it.

If it tastes like real aussies they taste like P888y.
They buckled under the covid. No respect anymore.
“On the positive side, the same stereotype may be expressed in portraying the Swabians as frugal, clever, entrepreneurial and hard-working”
Work is life. You no work, dust everyday, etc, you’re a schlub. Swabians have no filter. If they give out compliments it will be indirect..like…”Beasn, your stomach isn’t as big as before”..in approval of the dress I was modeling.
Eric Boehlert died in a bike accident, age 57.
Lefty provocateur on Twitter, media matters flack.
twitter: how much do you want to bet?
In the article I saw about Boehlert he was described as having a “crazy devotion to facts, content and good reporting.”
Sure, Jan.
so Hunter Biden lives across the street from a rehab center? sounds legit.
no one spun as hard as Eric!
Speaking of not trying to get better…

Dayum, LOL.
Good news Mare, they’re made somewhere in the US and taste nothing like any p888y I’ve encountered.
*Eric Boehlert died in a bike accident, age 57.*
Serious question. Does the Posse Comitatus Act prohibit central from using the military to secure the border? Does it prohibit states from using their national guard reserves?
So somehow he got hit by a train while riding his bicycle. Crazy.
Selling the Harley today. Sad but I had some fun with it. Moving on.
Too many oil stains on the living room carpet, Mitch?
Gotta get out of Las Vegas Dave. I have no time to deal with motorcycles. It was just sitting around anyway.
The avian flu is bullshit. I don’t believe in coincidence.
CDM
Bwahahahaha! Brandon turning circles looking for someone that wants to talk to him, while being shunned in his own house. This may be the only redeeming quality jug ears Hussein has.
Avian flu? Is that the next plandemic they want to unleash on us?
I wouldn’t be lying if I told you I was delighted when Paula sold her motorcycle. As consolation I got her a waverunner which gets a lot of use at camp. About 4 years ago she bought a 4 wheeler but sold it last year because she hardly used it but made payments every month. Supply shortages worked in her favor when the guy tried to talk her down because she had 2 or 3 other offers waiting if the guy didn’t buy it.
Maine CDC recommended keeping your chickens indoors because of avian flu …
The comic store owner told me about this story
https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/10007/action-comics-1/
Just to be clear, that’s a fragment of the cover of Action Comics #1.
Best defense against avian flu is a 12 gage shotgun with a modified choke, leading properly and gently pulling the trigger. Then it’s avian flew.
Another good defense is not self identifying as an avian, perhaps even an aviator.
The new battery I put in the LG phone is already dying prematurely. good news is I have the laptop, so F5 works. bad news is I’m searching for a new phone and it will probably be an Apple….need that like another hole in the head right now.
Girl rockers from the Isle of Wight.
Another one of their songs is titled “Ur Mom”
“If it tastes like real aussies they taste like P888y.” in my ear.
Too fucking funny. Mare for the kill
at least they’re not from the Isle of Lesbo’s, they have that going for them. Disney executives are probably feverishly trying to figure out how to spin it as so, though.
The reason we need the massive asteroid, or without it, Global thermonuclear war is we raise our children to not talk to or get in vehicles with strangers, but it’s a human rights violation to complain about the government allowing a fag in drag to read books to your kids in a library your taxes fund, same with schools too.
Stop the planet, I want to get off, but first there’s about 2% of the population I want to deal with, with extreme prejudice, first.

certainly explains chicken wings listed as “market price” like crab legs and lobster. Rare treats, to be sure!
Great John Doyle quote:

Hi Mare,
I thought of another thing that I use use but keep enough on hand for a hurricane or the iZombie apocalypse.
Dried mushrooms. They are flavorful and nutrient dense, not so much on calorie dense, but are light, and don’t take up a ton of room.
Heh my fumble fingers hit the i instead of o in zombie. The suggested correction was iZombie so I went with it. I am thinking it is slow Zombies riding iRobot Roombas.
I, Zombie was a half-decent supernatural horror/police procedural that went woke and lost the plot.
It’s a shame, the star was super cute.
We watched one or two seasons of I, Zombie, Leon. It was fun.
Vmax, do you dry your own mushrooms? Where do you get them?
Dr. Berg had a video about drying them. Need to go look that one up again.
I left the viewing early…so that I could unwind and get to bed at a decent hour.
Started to feel claustrophobic. Several people kept getting in my personal space. I’d step back, they’d follow.
Loved seeing Mr. B’s Aunt Betty. She’s 90 and a vibrant personality. She still has most of her marbles and can get around okay but her son says her heart failure is progressing.
It’s a shame the people you only get to see when people die.
I buy them online for what I cannot find local Beasn. The local Asian groceries seem to have the largest choice, and I add what I can from Sam’s Costco and Amazon as the whim strikes me

There was a Congressman Boehlert at one time, he oversaw NASA and was a PITA to work with. Don’t know if they are related.
Fighting the Mormons is difficult in Utah.
From what I’ve read on the prepper blog which is 90% Mormon, the shine is off the turd for Mittens. To say he is a disappointment is a understatement. Another interesting development is that almost all discussion of the vax on the blog is banned because the President of their church told everyone to get it, and it’s causing a schism.
Today was my ‘Pharmocological Cardiac Stress Test’. I spent 4 hours at Good Samaritan Hospital. It was pretty weird as all the previous stress tests have had me running on the treadmill until I was gonna die. This was ‘shoot some stuff into him until his heart is freaking out, ’cause he’s old and can’t run. We also inject a radio isotope into him and then let him ride on the ‘Gamma Cam’.
So, it was ‘show-up, get the radio isotope, ride the ‘gamma cam’, sit and wait for 30 minutes. Go back into the lab, get wired up into ‘The Machine That Goes Bing’ and get something that stresses the heart and makes it feel like something is sitting on your chest, and another shot of radio-isotope, while the doctor stares at the display of bumpy lines and then asks; “How are you feeling?”
After that, they unhook all the ekg leads(except 4) and you go back to the gamma cam, where they wire you up and then do another scan. I was pretty afraid of this and thanked Anita for her 53 years of pennance befroe I left because I was pretty sure that they were gonna kill me. I left and she started cleaning things. You waould not believe what I came home to. She cleaned MY DESK!!!
All my business cards, notes, pens, are moved…
Anyway, I lived, though it was an interesting experience, brought on by an insurance company dictating my medical treatment.
An ‘interesting’ day…
Delaying everything, Ricky pivoted.
