  2. That meme with the side by side press secretaries makes me miss Trump even more. Peppermint Patty has to defend the indefensible on a daily basis and the adoring lefties who call her rebuttals “Psaki bombs” are just awful people who were probably critical of one of the finest (and hottest) press secretaries ever!

  3. I’ve failed to notice the category labeled “butt pokey blues” until just now. I wonder what they sound like?

  4. Pats – Bucs tickets for this week’s game in Foxboro are selling for many thousands of dollars over asking price. Patriots are soon to be 1-3 because there is no way they’re going to beat the Bucs. Still won’t be watching live. The only thing that has cheered me about football this fall is the crowds chanting “Fuck Joe Biden” which gives me hope for the future.

The press briefing is the dumbest thing ever. I remember it was pretty normal until Obama’s guy Jay Whateverthefuck.

He would just lie his ass off without even trying for spin and the press would clap like seals. It was embarrassing. And now that’s basically all it is – just flat out lies that are so egregious no one even bothers to point it out.

  8. some opera link

  9. Humn … just trying to link. What do you guys see in the previous comment?

  10. Sarah Huckabee sanders was another good one. roasted reporter, anyone? trump could pick em

  11. link to a pdf

  12. I just updated it with some markup so the link would display. WordPress doesn’t like pdf links as raw comments I think.

  13. hmm, it opened on the phone, but on the computer it can’t open. But you changed the text, too.

  14. still opens on phone

  15. ugh, from AOS:

A Republican today is not the same as a Republican 20 years ago. A conservative who moved to solidly red Colorado in the late ’90s would be in for a surprise after it failed to vote for a Republican presidential candidate after 2004.

Kids don’t always follow their parents’ ideology. Whole counties and states sometimes switch sides in elections and then switch back again. Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin went for Obama in 2012, Trump in 2016, Biden in 2020. Who gets them in the divorce? Would we constantly have to change boundaries? . . .

city folks move away from the poisonous policies that kill their city, and continue to vote for the same thing. Plus, MI PA and WI all were cheat states, and they didn’t cheat enough in 16, and had to double down in 20. GA joins them, along with AZ. All those have been liberal infected, and are ruled by big cities.

  16. Things I noticed while walking around: lots of black people around here wear masks all the time, but they don’t like the vaccine? I swear its a higher percentage of maskers.

  17. Blacks and asians are the most frequent maskers here.

  18. I’m not sure what “Sobek music” is. I would guess either classical or metal, or both:

  19. I don’t care who gets which state, because mine is not in doubt.

  20. Michigan is blood red with 3 blue cities, and those might be all fraud.

  21. I liked both of your songs today, Jay.

  22. sobek music = sunday posts

these are youtube breadcrumbs. I get interesting suggestions, from my prior listening and the impetus of your new titles.

  23. also added to post. In honor of National Guard members tasked to hospital duties.

  24. police state, anyone?

  25. Blacks and asians are the most frequent maskers here.
    —————
Same here. Rarely discussed – black folks love conspiracy theories. As a group, they have the highest beliefs that would make the Q thing seem like amateur hour.

The AIDS and crack thing are my fav. And honestly, I wouldn’t doubt it anymore.

  26. I’ve read some fairly scholarly critiques of the HIV=AIDS theory that weren’t really conspiracy theories, just epidemiology as it was practiced before Fauci started controlling government grant $$.

Also explains why Magic Johnson never got sick.

  27. I say give them nothing. Starve them out and send them into permanent exile with no right of return.

  28. Crack, though, that’s just good ol’ home chemistry by drug dealers looking for a better profit margin.

  29. Oh, and I do mean literally the same fucking Fauci, who said 1/3 heterosexuals would have AIDS by 1990 and we needed to spend massively on developing… a vaccine.

  30. well, aren’t they still spending money on a vaccine? So WIN WIN for Fauxci

  31. Just pointing out that this malignant gnome has been pulling the same scam for 40 years and keeps getting away with it.

  32. His wife makes money for the family based on his poisoned pontifications, too. Whole family is as dirty as every Biden.

  33. Paging Trump Won, you know it!

  34. Case in point:

When asked about consumer prices rising if corporate taxes were increased she said it was absurd.

    That’s just pure lying.

  35. My aunt was a CPA for ~40 years. It took multiple minutes to explain to her that corporations are tax collectors, not tax payers. Not a dumb woman, just been swimming in the shit of the tax code so long that she can’t have a clear thought about it.

  36. I don’t get NY firing unvaxxed healthcare workers. I thought some courts said that the state must allow/respect exemptions.

  37. Vaccinating people who have had covid-19: why doesn’t natural immunity count in the US?

    https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2101?fbclid=IwAR2uhi-9ytoM3GWDOEv0RTDIYHIbSnZhLNBvXO6aSITh61_bTDrMUWz8N4s

  38. So … white women can’t wear braids anymore? WTF is wrong with people?

    /hypothetical

  39. Corporations may or may not pass on any taxes to the consumers, depending on the elasticity of demand. If consumers are quick to jump to a competitor when the price moves even a little, then companies have an incentive to eat the taxes if keeping the price low will gain more income from new customers than they lose paying the taxes.

That said, even if they don’t raise prices they may still modify their operations to minimize their tax payments, which can have negative effects in its own right.

  40. White people invented braids at about the same time as we invented rope.

Rope is used to make a noose.

    Therefore, braids are racist.

  41. Pumpkin Chunkin’ goes to the next level.

  42. All money in corporate coffers ultimately comes from customers, and any payments to corporate employees is taxed as regular income. Taxing the corporation just makes it collect via with customer pricing or before paying its employees before they themselves are taxed. It raises the margin needed for the corporation to exist at all as a profitable entity, nothing more. You’re either taxing the customers or you’re taxing the employees, but it really just ends up being a barrier to entry/existence in the marketplace.

  43. That said, even if they don’t raise prices they may still modify their operations to minimize their tax payments, which can have negative effects in its own right.

    Cigarettes? You pay.

    Ziplock bags? They pay.

  44. haha, on Deace:

NY will be quartering soldiers in hospitals, to fire nurses.

  45. heh, Canada signs deal with Pfizer for 35 million doses in 2022, and 30 million in 2023

  46. population of canada is 37 million

  47. this reconciliation bill costs zero dollars is just amazing, how many people are buying that.

  48. Why TF would you need 30 million doses in 2023 for a viral strain that’s already extinct? Who’s getting paid off here?

  49. To even be considered for the reconciliation process, a bill has to be “revenue neutral”, Jay, so they always just lie and tack on taxes in future years that have never actually gone into effect or produced anything near the revenue proposed by static tax analysis. It’s part of the scam.

  50. Trudeau is an idiot, that’s how Pfizer gets rich

  51. Why TF would you need 30 million doses in 2023 for a viral strain that’s already extinct?

    Covid ’22 Electric Boogalo

  52. aka The Midterm Variant

  53. Some Canadian PMs made massive bank on that deal.

  54. This, of course, was always the intent: force the dems into a position where they have to use reconciliation so that it cannot be used to pass the $3.5 trillion monstrosity.

  55. MPs, not PMs. They only have one PM and he’s a national embarrassment.

  56. Be a 7th grader playing baseball. You’re daydreaming and a fly ball hits you in the face.

While you are out cold like a little bitch, you have a fantastical dream of becoming an insulin magnate.

You realize your dream and sell insulin for $1 per unit. Your margin is 50%. You sell 1M and make $500K per year.

The government then tells you that your corporation’s profit, DayDreamFatties™, will be taxed at 50%.

    You just lost $250K.

But, because your demand is highly inelastic, you raise prices to cover the loss. Everyone still buys insulin because they would die without it. And change is too hard so DayDreamFatties™ continues to be profitable.

You don’t get to do teh same thing if you make plastic shapes. Too many substitutes. A price increase would force consumers elsewhere. So you gotta innovate and squeeze out cost in your production process.

  57. Your mom likes to squeeze out costs in her production process.

  58. oh thank god I called to verify a card to get a ticket on a phone, so I can sit on hold for 20 minutes

  59. The backhoe MAY be delivered today folks. Shit’s getting real. On facedouche is a picture of Ethan in dress blues. Sucks for the rest of you.

What else? Not sore from my excessive run.

  60. Working with Scott. On our way back from NH to our last jerb in Mass. We had been in 4 states before 10am.

  61. Confusion, turmoil, chaos, and New Hampshire.

  62. how’s the back, or are you sprawled out in the back of Banglar Pary Van™?

  63. So, are we to believe that national guard and hospital employees are interchangeable? I haven’t seen a single person anywhere wondering how the guard is supposed to run a hospital.

  64. Riding shotgun. Back is fine. I can feel where it hurt yesterday but it’s really not bad.

  65. It only hurts when you laugh.

  66. LOINS! wait…

  67. Sobek,

Each crisis begets the next crisis which begets the next assumption of powers not delegated to the state to solve the crisis they begat in the first place. All of *THIS* was to save the hospitals from getting “over-run”. Well, hospitals weren’t “over-run” so now they have to cripple the hospitals so that they will be “over-run” to justify the next round of power grabs. See?

  68. So, I’ve decided it’s time to get back to therapy. Problem is, a $50 a pop co-pay is kind of a dealbreaker right now. So I need, like, a second job or something so I can meet my bills, not starve, and try to be more functional.

And folks wonder why I’m convinced the world is fucked.

  69. Oh God. There’s a Peckerwood Road in a place here in AL named Jackson’s Gap.

  70. The guard folks are going to be medical professionals, so it’s likely that their civilian jobs are as doctors, nurses, administrators, etc.

  71. Ms Jackson don’t have no gap. She thicc.

  72. Tim, go find the second job. See if you can get something that has potential for the future. Right now companies are desperate, and if you are competent and willing to work, you may find yourself moving up quickly.

  73. If you need an extra job, start blowing, the job’s yours.

  74. Sent you email, Tim. At least I think I did.

I keep meaning to see if the local small meat packer is hiring for P/T. I’d like to get paid to learn how to do the work if I can.

  75. I’ll check after work, they got me jumping today! Which is good, the constant snoozefests actually had me anxious.

  76. https://spectrum.ieee.org/deep-learning-computational-cost

  77. Biden: I think we can get back to normal when 97-98% of us are vaccinated

I’m sure it’ll be fine. Everything is fine.

  78. I’ve got room out front for the statue.

  79. Fuck you Joe.

  80. I’m not sure how much I can trust any “look, ebil xtians!!” article from Vice, either.

  81. https://spectrum.ieee.org/deep-learning-computational-cost

Mentats run on 5-20W, max. Juice of Sapho, bros.

Or, we could just make more fucking electricity.

  82. The guard folks are going to be medical professionals, so it’s likely that their civilian jobs are as doctors, nurses, administrators, etc.

A hundred thousand of them, though? How many of them will be able to work *two* civilian jobs in healthcare?

And it’s not like you can just plug in one healthcare worker for another in a different hospital system and expect things to be up and running instantly. There’s a huge learning curve with just figuring out where things are and what channels to turn to for certain things, how the specific medical software works, and what hospital policy is on any given thing. Not to mention, the remaining workers who stayed are going to have to train all these people.

We’ll see. I’m predicting a cluster. Glad I won’t be there to see it.

  83. Impossible! The ancient’s secret to cheap energy has been lost in the beforetimes. Now, pedal faster, because I want to watch the soccer match while I eat my cricket paste and drink my soy milk!

  84. Laura, I agree that it will be a cluster, and that they won’t have enough, just pointing out that a lot of those guard folks won’t be completely out of water. It will also be hilarious if the guard personnel whom they want to bring in are the same civilian folks getting fired.

  85. There is no way that worker a can be swapped out for worker b in a hospital. Doesn’t matter who they are.

You have to sign in to a system. They have to be set up. You can’t just walk up to a computer and start using it.

I can’t believe this is real.

  86. The guard folks are going to be medical professionals, so it’s likely that their civilian jobs are as doctors, nurses, administrators, etc.

A hundred thousand of them, though? How many of them will be able to work *two* civilian jobs in healthcare?

    =========
Don’t forget she’s also allowing providers with lapsed licenses and/or retired providers as well as fast tracking out of state providers too!

    Clusterfuck ahead

  87. I wonder what the “hesitancy” rate is among hospital IT staff.

  88. oh, it’s gonna be a HUGE cluster.

  89. plus, they want to ship in staff from non-busy hospitals. Like everyone is just itching to drive into NYC every day and tend to a hospital they don’t know.

  90. don’t the guard people have a vaccine mandate? so if the staff are in the guard, they are already vaccinated and won’t be fired?

  91. And it’s not like you can just plug in one healthcare worker for another in a different hospital system and expect things to be up and running instantly.

    ======

It will be so much easier when the Feds are in charge of healthcare. One computer system, uniformity in procedures. Doctors and nurses will be interchangeable, I can’t wait….. /s

  92. maybe Dog the Bounty Hunter can work the hospitals too.

  93. Also, today was my last day with my current employer. Meeting at 0800, news delivered, last patient at 1430.

There was no gold watch or face cake after 22 years on staff but I did give some inappropriate hugs to a few techs who I’ve known for years who got the word that I’m gone through the whisper network.

Technically it’s a LOA but I told the HR lady, in essence, “Don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining” with regard to them suddenly having a change of heart and welcoming me back with open arms.

    – Hmm, maybe NY will pay big bucks! –

  94. I get that some people in the guard are medical professionals, but 100,000 of them? And none of those 100,000 are already working as medical professionals? And they are the right kind of medical professionals? Come on.

  95. Just the fact that I’m using the phrase “medical professionals” means I’m lumping together some highly disparate skill sets.

  96. Per HQ comments, NY has ~15k NG total. How many are medical staff?

  97. Probably a few hundred at most.

Where is the 100k number coming from?

  98. wait what, jimbro? Did I miss something? This is kinda shocking.

  99. Y’all keep discussing this thing like there’s some actual expectation that it has even a snowball’s chance to succeed. They know it doesn’t. It’s not supposed to. They want it to fail, bigly.

  100. yes, mitchell, that is true. agreed

  101. backdoor to single payer

  102. Is she just trying to goose the “COVID deaths!” numbers so she can declare another emergency, then?

  103. I’m probably just making the 100k number up from thin air. I have no idea how many people they’re about to fire. No freaking way is that number smaller than the number of NG who are trained and available. I think Mitchell is right – designed to fail, but in such a way that she can say “I’m a strong, decisive leader!”

  104. Always remember and never forget – “never let a crisis go to waste.” There are several things they want to do:

Complete state control of the health care system is a Holy Grail of the Left. They will stop at absolutely nothing to achieve it. If peasants have to die well so be it. Actually, that’s a feature, not a bug.

“Temporary” “emergency” powers are always permanent.

Create “Demons”, “Wreckers”, “Unvaxxed” non-people to blame when government “solutions” inevitably fail. Unleash the public’s fury on these safe and deserving targets. The Democrat Party Propaganda machine will enthusiastically participate and suppress all other sources of information.

    Lather, rinse, repeat.

  105. Wait, Jimbro, did I miss that you’re leaving because of covid/vaccine hysteria?

    If true, God Bless you!

  106. https://is.gd/IRGLLE

    (Imgur video with sound)

  107. I’m sorry, Jimbro. I’m even more sorry for the kids with busted hands who won’t be able to see you because of this.

  108. *fist bumps Jimbro*

    Sorry, man. This sucks.

I still half-believe it’s all going to implode and be called off, sooner rather than later. They think they’re calling our bluff. It’s no bluff. The more this demented jackass insults us, the worse it will get. My new career has been cut short already. I currently have no health insurance, and I will be losing all my investment in schooling, if a safer vaccine doesn’t come along so I can get back to work. Oh, well, I already know that I can reinvent myself. I did it before, very recently.

Our best bet, really, is to move somewhere that America still exists. But, not yet.

  109. Fock jimbro

  110. Still haven’t heard anything from my company. The government section director has told us that he hasn’t heard anything either.

  111. Just so you know, we will never make you get a covid shot. You’ve always got a spot at the battery shop.

  112. well, shit. Prayers up for everyone’s well being. lets make sure and keep in touch, and reach out when things are going on. Tim, keep on venting if it helps, and if you need some more help, please let me know.

All this is kinda hitting home. All is well with me, I’m pretty secure, but all these changes really make me think.

  113. mom has informed me that she is NOT getting a booster. She is very pro vacc, but that seems to be a bridge too far.

  114. Just so you know, we will never make you get a covid shot. You’ve always got a spot at the battery shop.

There’s always money in the banana stand.

  115. Hannah has covid. She’s had the poke.

  116. Oh, so her boyfriend is straight.

  117. fucking Milley. You serve the office, not the man, as my dad always said. You don’t have any right to do any of this.

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/09/28/gen-mark-milley-admits-leaking-to-book-authors-about-donald-trump/

  118. Oh, so her boyfriend is straight.

He only sipped, and just the tip.

  119. Nobody in New Hampshire was wearing a mask.

  120. The homestead vloggers I watch in New Hampshire are busily building their off-grid bunker tiny house, meant to be a precursor structure where they can live until they can cash out on their existing farm and build a bigger off-grid house. They are moving from 10 acres to 500+.

    So jealous.

  121. 4 weeks of freeze dried food arrived today.

    Bring on the zombies.

  122. Anyone ever ask this shitbird General why, (if he had misgivings about the President) he didn’t use the chain of command and consult with Pence?

  123. j’imes i’ll shoot you an email with a thought if i can remember to look up your address

  124. I’ve been blocked for days. I was just allowed to comment and I’m throwing down…bitches

  125. pxystick if that helps

  126. ooppsie – i meant j’brony

  127. I have it somewhere.

  128. oops thought it was a typo

  129. How were you blocked oso?

  130. found it –
    trannysurgeon@snip-snip.org

  131. Just so you know, we will never make you get a covid shot. You’ve always got a spot at the battery shop.

Thanks, Carin. I know your shop AND your household have a solid, permanent place for a psych nurse.

    *rubs hands together*
    I’m gonna be busyyyyyyy…

  132. j/k
    I appreciate you.

  133. awww, all the generals blaming Buyden for the AF pullout.

Except you spent 4 years ignoring the President before. You assholes can hang.

  134. I’ve been jabbing your mom since March 2009.

  135. All the generals blaming biden, but not one of them resigned, and they’re court martialing the colonel who criticized them.

    Real fucking brave soldiers.

  136. PLAYOFFS, BABY!

  137. Carin, awesome pic of Ethan.

Jimbro, I am sorry about your situation. Hopefully they will get their heads out of their asses before your LOA is up.

I will admit that when I saw Buyden getting the booster shot, I briefly wished for a blood clot. Sorry, God, I know that wasn’t right.

No change in my situation other than I had physical therapy today, and it kicked my ass. I’d buy stock in the maker of Advil, but that’s Pfizer, so they can go fuck themselves.

  138. If he got something other than saline or distilled water I’d be shocked. Maybe a B-12 shot.

  139. All the generals blaming biden, but not one of them resigned, and they’re court martialing the colonel who criticized them.

So anytime a military officer disagrees with a lawful order, he should resign in protest?

  140. The posed picture of Biden getting his “Booster” was on a “SET”, and not in the White House. It was Fake, just like his ‘Booster’…

  141. Coal, if you want to put words in someone’s mouth, put them in your commander in chief’s, not mine.

  142. Prayers up, Jimbro. And Laura.

If these politicians were serious, they wouldn’t be letting all of these people just traipse across our border, only to disperse to who knows where, bringing who knows what diseases with them.

    Pathetic.

  143. Denali excursions remain popular.

  144. Where’s the picture of Ethan?

  145. Facedick?
