  1. Pupster, I love these memes. These are good memes. I’m having a tough time, but these memes made me smile and laugh. Thank you for the memes. Good Pups.

  2. Just skimmed through BBF because I did a restart last night which closed all my open tabs. I have a lot of thoughts. First off, Miss Bartlett has got prize winning boobs. They are truly money makers. How long before she’s on Only Fans making the sleaze bucks?

No, it occurred to me as I read the comments that there’s a lot of stuff going on in all of our lives. Not only our individual lives but all the people around us. It’s not exactly secret knowledge and I feel a little like a tool for pointing out the obvious but it was a mini epiphany that dawned on me as I skimmed through yesterday’s post.

I’m glad I’ve made your internet acquaintance and hope for the best for each and every one of us. You have all enriched my life. Even the wiser and wiserbud twins.

  3. I looked at some of the posts on the All American Clothing site and found these in the comments of an article there

    http://www.howtobuyamerican.com/index.php

    https://americansworking.com/

I feel like politicians ought to mention this occasionally or even have it on their websites to publicize it.

  4. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gope

    3rd definition down does it.

GOP elite or GOP establishment = GOPe

    I get it now

  5. Curious how Mrs Pupster made out in the ER. ER medicine is pretty inefficient given all the stuff happening. If it was a gif it would be a juggler/circus performer juggling balls, flaming clubs and spinning dishes on poles while having a conversation with the audience.

The example that always sticks with me, because it happened so often, is from when I used to take call. Kids break their elbows when they fall off the monkey bars. It’s called a supracondylar elbow fracture. The two impossible scenarios were

    1. Kids at school eat lunch and then go out for recess. Johnny falls off monkey bars and has a Type 3 supracondylar fracture but needs to wait 8 hours for anesthesia because he just ate. That puts his case at 8 PM at the earliest. The OR is only running 1 or 2 rooms by then and it’s a guarantee someone will bump your elbow fracture for a perfed bowel or head bleed.

    2. Kid comes home from school, eats snack and goes to playground. Fall, broken bone, travels with parent to local ER. Their ER is busy, doctors are overwhelmed with urgent cases. By the time the kid’s films are done and read and the doctor realizes what’s going on it’s now 9:30-10:00 and you’re in bed.

That’s just my experience and a sliver of the fuckery I had to deal with. Multiply that by all the different maladies that can happen to humans, add in drug seeking malingeres, a lot of medical-legal CYA, stir in some underperformers in nursing, technical or medical staff and viola … long waits happen. It’s the nature of the beast.

  6. malingerers

  7. wakey wakey

  8. One of erin’s friends brought over a 6 month old puppy last night . Doggos were so happy, but Stella was over the moon. She’s still sleeping. SOOO tired.

Its nice having dogs that love other dogs.

  9. Blerg. We got home @1:30 AM.

Double Pneumonia and some other stuff, I have to read through the paperwork this morning, and go to the pharmacy after I shower and wake up a bit more.

Thanks for your support last night.

The ER got pretty sporty after dark, not sure what was going on but there was a lot of drama being played out as I sat in the parking lot.

  10. Deactivated my twitter. Today is the day folks Everyone.

  11. Glad you made it home puppy.

  12. Rush deactivated his yesterday.

  13. In non-yooboob news you can use

  14. Would it be brain-melting irony to put “Buy American” on my Tundra?

I mean, it was built in Tennessee, but this is Michigan.

  15. MeTV has Saturday morning cartoons with old Looney Tunes. Watching a 1937 Porky Pig cartoon.

  16. Continued prayers for Mrs. Pupster’s healing.

  17. xpost from mothership:

A hobby I might suggest now is journaling. On paper, in ink.

Electronic history can be wiped out, even libraries can burn, but some of our best sources of history as it happened have always been written records by the people who lived them.

  18. Rush deactivated his yesterday.

He deactivated it or was he suspended? Rumor was the latter. I hope he did. Then may all his listeners, do the same, if they’re even on there.

I didn’t get much sleep again. I caught a replay of the local evening news that pissed me off. They mostly parrot mainstream media bullshit with zero explanation. Blah blah…election fraud claims have been debunked…blah…opposition to Hawley is growing…protest somewhere for Hawley to resign happens today…blah…Hawley fires back at Biden who referenced nazi rhetoric….blah.

Not one mention of the democrats who contested Trump in ’16 or the protesting mobs who left behind property damage.

Mr. MassCoordinatedCheatingUnpossible factchecked me…oh yeah that did happen.

  19. hobby I might suggest now is journaling. On paper, in ink.

A very good idea and is actually a thing restarted in some quarters, done with stickers, photos, clips, drawings, short written summaries, in bound journals, you can buy at craft stores.

I started paying attention to politics back around 2000…mostly due.to the hair-on-fire reaction to Bush. I’d bookmark a lot of stuff and sometimes print some of it off. Then hard drives shit the bed, websites disappear/deactivate = broken links = POOF!, not to mention shenanigans by commie censorship. I need to start printing off key stories when I see them AND get my digital pictures ‘developed’.

  20. OR…what I’d do is copy and paste articles in my email…save in draft or send it to another email. I can delete later or print if deemed worthy to save.

I hope Mrs. Pupster is on the mend soon. One of my female coworkers had a similarly bad bout of covid with the persistent exhaustion and had to be hospitalized a few days.

Anybody on Parler? Give me your profile name, I’m joining.

  22. Pupster, I hope you guys get some good napping in, today. Are you taking any C, D, zinc?
And out of curiosity, are either one of you blood Type A?

  23. lauraw, I can’t remember if I joined. I’ll check when I fire up the computer. What name will you use?

  24. @Jimbro on Parler

I’ll keep my twitter, delete my details and steer traffic towards Parler. I have a VPN service called Jumbo that automatically deletes any tweets older than 30 days. It’s designed to avoid any shrieking harpies from doxxing you if you somehow end up in their crosshairs.

  25. You still at the rag- cab account? I’ll email it to you.

  26. NM, just found and followed

  27. Electronic history can be wiped out, even libraries can burn, but some of our best sources of history as it happened have always been written records by the people who lived them.

I invested in print editions of gardening, butchering, and first aid books, along with enough low level readers, math, science, and history books that I could teach if push comes to shove.

  28. I’ve got another work exam to prep for, then I’m planning to make a MeWe and irritate PJM.

  29. Thanks for the links to buy American, Jimbro! I’m happy to see that Speed Queen is American made. That’s my next laundry machine, when ours craps out.

  30. @carinobrien

  31. I gave your “I’m off twitter” post one of those up arrows Carin

  32. https://rumble.com/vcj79n-dni-report-delivered-to-congress-right-after-certification.html

Interesting video at Rumble. Hopefully it doesn’t embed. I’m hearing a lot of rumbles (no pun intended) about “it ain’t over yet” from various places. At this point I can only watch and wait. I suppose sharpening my pointy sticks and buying additional toilet paper might be in order too.

  33. I up arrowed it as well.

  34. Prayers up for Mrs. Pupster.

Honestly, marinating in MSNBC/NPR/reallyl any MSM “news” should qualify as self-harm. If anyone lives to do so I wonder what they’ll write about us.

  35. Interesting read on the life cycle of empires over at https://bayourenaissanceman.blogspot.com/ written by a Brit Historian. Brain Candy

Ps. Apologies in advance if my Google fu skills are lacking

  36. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9127835/Teen-shames-brainwashed-mom-punched-face-Capitol.html

This is sort of regional news mixed with national news but around here we’ve been hearing about an employee of a hospital being canned for attending the rally. I trained at UMass Memorial Health Care for a part of my residency. Back then Memorial was a private hospital in the last glory days of private practice. When I first rotated through there as a brand new resident it was all private. Three years later my last rotation as a resident was there and the merger with UMass had been completed months before. They were building the new facade for the hospital when I left.

If they didn’t fire any employees arrested for participating in BLM vandalism they’re going to have trouble on their hands. Then again, no one was arrested from BLM so never mind …

  37. I don’t get the one with the baby deer captioned ‘panicked honk’

  38. I just made me giggle in a “deer in the headlights” kind of way.

  39. Please convey my “Get Well Soon!” to the missus, Pups.

  40. How is the Mrs Today Puppy?

  41. Well, shit. I knew this was coming from what Mark Steyn said, but still. RIP.

  42. Well crap, Rush got cut off yesterday because my local station covers UMaine hockey games. I heard a woman from NJ tell Rush that the Republicans lost out because the objections to the election were completely overshadowed by the breach in security. She said that they got rolled. Rush asked her why she thought the Republicans always end up getting rolled. I was anticipating his answer after a commercial break but as soon as he cut away I heard a skating rink and knew it was hockey afternoon in the broadcast range of WVOM. Since he was only on a couple of days this week I figured I’d catch it on his Week In Review show at 1:00. Radio on and it’s hockey again …

  43. bottom fell off my steel coffee pot and its annoying. try some glue but might be looking for a new mr coffee. replacement is 22 which is more than a new coffee maker. plus this one is so old you can’t see the button labels and the warmer is rusting. sucks being cheap.

  44. Thanks everybody for the well wishes. Mrs. Pupster is the same, except maybe a little relieved to have been diagnosed and have a treatment plan. I know I feel better to have a plan but that’s just how I roll.

  45. Steroids/ Antibiotics?

  46. Good to hear mashed potatoes

  47. Is it bad that I feel relief that the Trump campaign was suspended by their email provider? I was deleting 40-50 spams a day from them at the peak (highest was 54 in 24 hours), and any thought I had of ever donating again was squashed by the thought I’d be rewarding them for that behavior.

  48. I’d send my dad’s chicken and rice soup to Mrs. Pupster, but the post office is still focked. Today’s mail brought a Christmas card mailed Dec. 22.

  49. I am waiting for a gasket that was mailed on 12/18.

  50. I unsubscribed from all of them last weekend Roamy. It was too much. Also entered STOP on all the texts. Now my spam is entirely Hot Russian Singles, Nigerians looking to get their fortune to me and medical breakthroughs only available online that will make me lose weight, control my blood sugar and enlarge my gentleman’s sausage

  51. Unsubscribe does nothing for me. STOP on the texts did work.

  52. I tried the Parler gig briefly. .. @Jam02
I had to turn off notifications. Holy crap I got inundated.
I’m not a social media kind of ape.
    I’m barely social actually.

  53. Except around you knuckleheads – like jimes said – you all are ok.

  54. Pup I’m glad mrs p-ster is on the mend.

  55. Never had a Twitter account, not on parler, gab, etc.

  56. Steroids/ Antibiotics?

    Benzonatate and Albuterol.

  57. Snowing here. Standing out side trying to chip ice off our little old refrigerator. Current fridge is dead. I figured I’d use the old one that was stuck in the bunkhouse. Opened it and it had about 80 pounds of ice formed in it. Crazy. Now I have to move it into the house and let it sit for a little while before we plug it in.

  58. We’re waiting for snow. Inches. I have been sick for 2 and a half days. Just got a negative COVID. Looks like Sinus. Binged Bridgerton on Netflix. I own all of the books. Regency.

  59. Now I have to move it into the house
    ——-
I know a guy with a tractor or two …

  60. I didn’t really tweet much. But I did like to follow it for breaking stories, and the funnah.

    But no longer.

  61. Laura had the perfect dent in her truck for that Wiley Coyote sticker.

  62. Dan won 4$ on Powerball. We still watch NFL. WE HAVE BECOME THAT WHAT WE DESPISE. Untouchables

  63. Somebody just put this up on Fakebook and got 30 days in Fakebook jail!

  64. Fingers crossed that we didn’t mess up the little old refrigerator. It’s an old Westinghouse, about 5 feet tall. Little compartment inside for the freezer. Searched the model #, but nothing came up.

  65. I had 3 1/2 days of Rona symptoms . Negative result. Feeling better. Looks like Sinus. Going back on Monday. Not paid.

  66. Pepe,
We had a Frigidaire, built in 2004 fail, last year. It started making noise in the control module that sounded like relays not latching, they would chatter for a bit.
I looked on the net and saw that there was a replacement control module and new harness available for under $100. There was also a youtube step-by-step on how to install it.
    It’s still working great…

  67. Beasn gifted us with a new bear. We’re all snuggled in

  68. This sounded like the compressor seized, ChrisP. It’s been deteriorating for a while.

  69. Amazon is shutting down Parler tomorrow at 23:59.

  70. wow, what a dick move

  71. Judge Janine is mad at the Capitol crashers. Mad mad mad.

  72. Wonder if Rumble is next, then.

  73. Ann Althouse, not a Trump fan, noticed all the MSM talking about Trump inciting the “Storming of the Capitol” with nothing quoted…
She, a law dog, sat down to read the whole transcript of the 1+hour speech, and saw nothing of the sort. Just as I heard nothing of the sort. It’s a uniform wall of lies. For the LIV, it will be the truth. Watching most of the videos, one would not think “riot”, if the MSM did not keep repeating that word.

What a revoltin’ development this is…
    /Chester A. Riley

  74. yup. I asked people on both sides what Trump said. No one could point anything out.

This is getting out of hand.

  75. Oso, I have the Bridgerton books, too! Been a fan since they first came out. Is the TV series any good? I’m sort of afraid to watch it.

  76. Details emerged regarding Peru.
