Why didn’t they do this for Hillary? It was just as close.

They weren’t prepared to do so because they didn’t think that they’d need to do it. Trump was supposed to lose in a landslide.

I’ve been thinking about it, and while a Trump loss would suck, it may turn out to be a pyrric victory for the left. Wretchard has a thread about this idea.

My own thoughts: if Trump loses then there’s no Trump Fatigue. Instead of a country ready for something new after eight years of the Trump show, they see it as cancelled just when things were getting interesting. It’s sort of how Kennedy is beloved in large part because of his assassination: it solidified him as a mythical figure before people could get tired of him or his policies could do damage. A Trump loss after a close election where there was obvious widespread cheating will piss off half the electorate, binding them closer to Trump. And I don’t think he’ll go away quietly. He won’t do anything childish towards Biden during the transition, but I can see him leaving the White House and immediately starting the Trump News Network, spending the next four years barnstorming for local candidates ala a conservative George Soros. Trump won in 2016 because the Dems got sloppy and arrogant. He may lose in 2020 because the GOP failed for decades to prepare the ground to combat electoral fraud. Trump is many things, but he’s not stupid, and he’ll learn from that. He may not run again, but I can see in 2024 some combination of DJTJr/Grennell/Pence/Noam/etc. running on a Trump-backed ticket against either a doddering Joe Biden, or the unlikeable Kamala Harris. The latter is a younger Hillary Clinton, with all the negatives.
Meanwhile, the left is going to spend four years with fighting between the old guard and the activists, the latter who want increasingly strident progressive policies while the former want to keep the corporate money men happy.

  2. I’m gonna put a picnic shoulder in the oven around 1AM and have it ready for the morning. Not sure if I should cook it at 225 or 250? Probably won’t make much of a difference.

I salted it yesterday and rubbed/marinaded it with mojo criollo. Gonna cook it in my dutch oven. The skin on top is only scored and salted, not marinaded. My plan is to cook it low and slow overnight in the somewhat closely fitting dutch oven to hold the mojo and cooking juices up against the flesh to tenderize, and then in the morning I’ll take the lid off and turn up the heat to blast the exposed skin to cracklins.

Will report on my progress when time allows, i.e. between ecstatic baths of hot grease and garlicky pan sauces.

  3. Trump is many things, but he’s not stupid, and he’ll learn from that.
    ——
I’m sure he and his team have a better understanding of the fraud that was perpetuated and will challenge it directly. It’s hard to say whether it will make any difference given what he’s up against but as Oso said last night, he fights back when challenged versus tucking his tail and scurrying away.

There are long odds to this challenge being successful but if it is and he gets a second term he’ll be legendary. The Dems/MSM/Progressives will continue to paint him as illegitimate but they always do that with and Conservative/Republican pol and he’s enjoyed giving it back to them.

I see what you’re saying Alex about the bloom not being off the rose in terms of Trump’s backers after 4 years. I’ll shift my thinking that way if his challenges fail. The Trump News Network will be an early backer of Don Jr.’s forays into politics.

  4. Another voice heard

    https://www.daybydaycartoon.com/comic/flushed-out/

Encouraging perspective. Not sure how close to reality it is, but still temporarily reassuring

  5. Trump is not giving up and either is his team. Why should they? It’s obvious fraud.

We now watch Steve Bannon’s War Room which is live on Youtube. He looks like an unmade bed but the guy is smart and he’s on our side. He said and it’s so true, the cheating is so blatant it shows contempt for the American people.

  6. I’m sure you’ve all seen the vote tally charts where at 4:30am SUDDENLY the count for trump jumps up above Trump as opposed to the steady climb of votes that happened throughout the day.

And the official tally charts that show at 4:30 am Biden’s numbers went up around 134,789 (random number) but Trump’s number does not go up ONE vote.

  7. I’m hearing that AZ is looking good for Trump.

  8. https://www.wired.com/story/nameless-hiker-mostly-harmless-internet-mystery/

Off topic (Do we even have topics at this dump?) but an interesting story nonetheless

  9. Coalex, excellent analysis.

    A fellow tribesman!

  11. Kills me that 90% of his replies are NPCs saying “debunked!” while willing accomplices in Detroit (!) are working vigorously to steal the election of Michigan’s first black Senator.

  12. I would love to see that Alex even when Trump wins.

And I love the idea of Trump News Network and Trump backed candidates or the Trump party.

    I’m all in.

  13. But remember, Trump is a rayciss.

  14. Trump could vet and lure good news/commentary people. Tucker is the only one I can think of but there are a shit ton of up and comers that I follow on Instagram that have been to the White House and have a good presence. Rogan O’Handley is one.

  15. And I love the idea of Trump News Network and Trump backed candidates or the Trump party.

    ——-

Plus when the buttplugs from the Lincoln Project try and put together a bunch of douches to represent the “new GOP” they’ll get their asses handed to them again and we will enjoy watching them cry like bitches …again.

  16. Today I learned that the Italians have a spaceport at Malindi, Kenya (Broglio Space Center).

It’s having an impact because we are getting hardware from them, and it’s a huge difference in customs as to whether it’s coming from Italy or Kenya.

  17. Comment by Teresa in Fort Worth, TX on November 4, 2020 11:22 am

How many Tramadol would a person need to take to never wake up again?

You ok, TiFW? You’re the last person I would expect to make a comment like that.

  18. I recall there being some giant mess re: Italian imports as a result of trying to grow our domestic leather industry in the 19th/20th centuries. It would surprise me not at all if those were still on the books and a factor here.

Put them in bags that say “coffee” and ship them from Kenya.

  19. A good friend’s mother did that, T. I attended her funeral on my 27th birthday while I was separated from my first wife.

    Don’t.

  20. In happy news, we appear to have a rooster after all. Our second-round birds were bought “straight run” and I had expected that likely meant 2-4 roosters out of 4, but it’s looking like just 1, which is ideal. If we have a broody hen or two we might try creating an ongoing flock from that. I can’t see getting an incubator for the sake of 6 hens.

I did not see this comment. Teresa, please report in and know that you’re not alone. This POS blog is here for you.

  22. Actually it would be easier if it’s coming from Italy. There’s something about quarantining the shipping crate if it’s not made from pressure-treated wood? The 2nd round of Chyna virus shutdowns is affecting this, too.

  23. Ditto, TiFW. I know I’ve been on the edge myself but, please, check in.

  24. I saw this sale on a firearms newsletter and gave it a click.

    https://botach.com/vertx-professional-rifle-garment-bag/

It’s a great brand and excellent distributor, I have a pair of pants from them (Vertx) that are pretty rugged and the sale price is great. That being said, I can confidently say that now, or in the future, there is a 0.0% chance of me needing to pack both an AR15 and business attire for a trip anywhere.

  25. Shipping crates really should not be pressure-treated. They get wrecked just like pallets. Ought to just use heat-treated wood for them as well.

  26. Which reminds me of how much I wish I’d planted some hickory trees on family land when I was 5. They’d be ready for hardwood lumber at about the same time as I’d want to retire. I’ve got some gigantic trees here, but they are all silver maple.

Great… firewood. Though I’ve got one stump that managed to sprout some wild reishi.

  27. That being said, I can confidently say that now, or in the future, there is a 0.0% chance of me needing to pack both an AR15 and business attire for a trip anywhere.

    ———————————————–
I think this is correct and really well said. Hillary got lazy. Her campaign was arrogant and corrupt just like she is.

Biden is a natural follower. He did what he was told by his advisors, stayed out of harm’s way, and let the machine grind it out.

I wonder what will happen to Trump if he loses and I’m not really sure he stays in the public eye. I could see every institution turning their backs on him for almost everything. Needs capital to start TNews? Nope! Needs bandwidth, hosting, services, etc? Nope! Need anything that doesn’t have the Trump brand name on it? Nope!

But I could also see him as you envision, never backing down and never letting him be defined by his critics. I don’t know what that looks like but I don’t think the Trump family is done with politics. An 8 year term and everyone goes home happy. A 4 year term followed by a stolen term seeds the ground.

I was a bit lost in though while dropping off the kiddo at school and wondered if we’re entering the next phase of the great divide. In my fairly short adult life the separation and escalation in politics has accelerated. Violence and obvious fraud are being rewarded, which means we’ll get more of it from both sides.

  30. Maybe they meant heat-treated instead of pressure-treated. Or it has to be one or the other. All I know is that if it’s not done right, customs may send it back.

  31. 2nd cup of coffee, then back into the melee.

  32. Upton won… yay. He’s a squishy turd, but the dems basically ran a skinnier Bootyjudge against him that would have been another wrecker in congress.

They likely do mean pressure-treated, Roamy. Not every country uses the best mix of chemicals for that. Heat-treated is just dried wood.

  33. MJ, my fear is not so much that we’re heading for Yugoslavia as that we’re heading towards the Thirty Years War.

  34. yeah sure, lets lose another one. That’ll show them!

  35. I suspect it will be more like “The Troubles” in Northern Ireland.

  36. As an Irish Catholic, I’m surprisingly okay with that.

  37. “They weren’t prepared to do so because they didn’t think that they’d need to do it. Trump was supposed to lose in a landslide.”

Biden was +11, but they were ready.

They believed the polling in 2016, and knew it was bs in 2020.

  38. I’m okay, everybody – no worries!

  39. good to hear, it was a strange comment

  40. The polls in 2020 were meant to delude the public into believing the fraud. You can see it in the twatter threads about fraud where the dems seem to be asserting that Trump is clearly trying to steal it because there’s no way the polls were off by 10!

  41. I got the information for our cable system, as to who is in charge of getting new channels added, and others removed. I want to get Fox off our cable system (my wife works there, so I can get the users responsible). At least get other options (Newsmax, BlazeTV, OANN). Any ideas how I can get multiple people with the same feelings to sign on, or get more visibility on this?

  42. Advertise on your local NPR station.

I’m not kidding, “get X to drop Fox News!” will sell to that crowd.

  43. as in radio, or TV? I like it.

  44. “Tell me something good!”

  45. This video is amazing. Mad props to the person that posted it.

  46. I’d say radio to start, but in the era of No Commutes So We Can Say SEEF! you might not get many listeners.

OTOH, can’t cost much right now either.

  47. Just checked, and my dad does NOT have an absentee ballot, and did not vote this year.

  48. Hmm, better start out with a website for collecting data.

  49. Pressure treating the wood probably kills any bad bugs that they don’t want to import.

  50. Just checked out of curiousity, mom and dad are not registered. Looks like Alabama does a better job keeping its voter registration clean than many of the places that scoff at it.

  51. The aroma woke me up at 8:30. I toddled down to check it out. I put a fork in the side of Mr. Prokshulder and he rolled over and gave himself to me like Hotspur’s dad on vacation in Greece.

I put the dutch oven on top of the stove to rest and I went back to bed, having stayed up until 2:30am like a jerk. I was only able to lie down for an hour. Because aroma.

Inspecting the roast with coffee in hand, I decided *not* to heat the oven to 500 and puff the skin. During cooking, some tiny hog bristles had popped out of the skin on one side where it starts to wrap around the underside. I must have missed them somehow when I was washing the meat before cooking. This was enough to put me off eating the skin so I pitched it.

I separated the meat, sieved the broth, and skimmed the fat. Am currently reducing the broth in preparation of thickening it. It’s tangy as all get out but I put more mojo in it just on general principles of goodness and righteousness. And I am cleaning the free cooking fat, a skill we will all need when President Kamala re-enacts all the economy-killing Obama presidential orders that Trump had de-enacted in order to help us all.

  52. When we ship any international orders, the pallets and crates all have to be either non-wood or heat-treated wood.

  53. Well, since there’s nothing to do while awaiting the cheat to be, I guess we could prognosticate who will be in the Harris cabinet.

Secretary of Defense – Lady GaGa
Secretary of State – Ilhan Omar
Secretary of Treasury – Alejandra Ocasio-Cortex
Secretary of HUD – Michael Moore
Secretary of Commerce – Sheila Jackson Lee
Secretary of HHS – Cecile Richards
Secretary of Energy – Cardi B
Secretary of Agriculture – meh….we don’t need no fuckin agriculture
    Attorney General – Gretchen Whitmire

I’m probably leaving off a few departments but who gives a fuck?

  54. And yeah, it’s mostly about not bringing in new wood boring insects.

  55. Damn…..I gotta find a spot for Maxine Waters and also St. Greta of Thunberg.

  56. The aroma woke me up at 8:30. I toddled down to check it out. I put a fork in the side of Mr. Prokshulder and he rolled over and gave himself to me like Hotspur’s dad on vacation in Greece.

  66. Crowder said yesterday, that while he was at Fox…he won’t name names, but that they specifically said, they make more money being on the opposition team.

  67. Of COURSE they do, that’s most of the viewing audience! But that isn’t why the channel was founded! They are going against the plan by which the channel was founded, and why it got a core group!

  81. It sounds like the when the reporter asked the case hadn’t yet been filed.

  82. When did the reporter stop beating their wife?

  83. it’s honestly making my head swim

  84. I’ve told this story several times on the HQ. After the Jill Stein recount in MI, I ran into a woman who was an observer. This was her experience in Wayne County: ballot box would read 135 Hillary, 0 Trump. You’d open the box, and it would be 7 Hillary, 5 Trump.

The fraud was being committed by the poll workers. And the R governor did NOTHING to stop it. Except order “more training.”

The R’s are OK with the fraud.

Yeah, NM is so small it doesn’t really matter. I thought Ronchetti would be closer, but the votes are what those in control say they are. Dems have control and they decide who wins. I’m surprised Yvette Herrell won. She won last time, but they kept “finding” votes for a week or so until she lost. NM has a history of blatant cheating and nothing is ever done about it.
