Lib co-worker is outraged over paying $300 for a Chyna virus test and wants Medicare for all. I didn’t pay anything for mine, not even a co-pay. I know it’s not really free, but I can only guess the difference is doctor’s orders vs. wanting to travel and not be quarantined for 2 weeks.
I just read through our (former) school’s “Back to School” plan. It’s absolute madness. Masking all day, every day, for PreK-8th grade. Social distancing 100% of the school day, and they are asking for volunteers to help build plexiglass partitions for all the 2-person desks.
Nothing like this is being done in any other country, and it’s fucking torture to do it to a 5yo. I hope they go bankrupt.
The media has really done a number on citizens (those that watch network news). They are really afraid.
I saw an Instagram TV of the comedian Sebastian Maniscalco and he and his wife have basically not left their neighborhood for 3 and a half months and cannot believe their friends are traveling. Then reading the comments was depressing because the majority of people were saying they are doing the right thing staying home. I saw one lady who said, “stop watching the news, live your life.” Brava.
Oh, and they want you to do a daily health assessment with a free(!) tracking application before the kid comes to school.
I’m sorry I wasted two days of my life helping them build the fucking playground. Yes, wasted, because no one gets to play on it because these people have become Branch Covidians rather than Catholics.
Bishop’s dispensation from mass runs through 8-15 at the moment. No idea what happens after that.
Mare, this is my daughter’s Catholic school. We chose the parish for the school. These aren’t union teachers, they get nothing if people don’t send their kids there.
I don’t even know how bad they will have it in the public school.
They assert without evidence that letting kids without symptoms anywhere near each other will kill grandma. No end date for this, not even end conditions.
Our lefty friends (the ones we’re close to but have a “no politics” rule with)are having us over for burgers tomorrow night. We went a couple of weeks ago, and the gathering was strictly outside, one friend even brought her own plate and silverware in a ziplock bag, drinks were handed out with a Clorox wipe instead of a napkin.
I can’t participate in this kind of insanity, so I’m not going. HotBride understands, and will cover for me. One of these days I’ll just say “Fuck it, you guys are cuckoo.”
The only reason we came together as a union after the civil war was the honoring of the defeated. Without that, yes, it’s over. Prepare for brutal tribalism and violence on a scale scarcely imaginable while we separate.
Something that calls itself the USA will celebrate the tricentennial in 56 years. It won’t be a country any of us recognizes.
If you don’t watch the news (like my husband and myself) you don’t know anything is wrong:
No people dropping in the street.
No coughing, sneezing, in general public.
No lines for hospital care.
Don’t know anyone who had died from it.
We think we know a couple of people who had it but symptoms were flu like and short lived.
My husband talks to people around the country every day for business and his friends from college are also, literally, across the country. No one he’s talked to has had it, knows anyone who’s had it, or knows anyone who has died from it. They’ve HEARD of people but don’t know any.
My brother (Seattle/Sun Valley…two hot spots for COVID) says he knows of 3 people who died from it.
I asked him, how old? And how healthy? He said two were over 75 and one sickly for a long time. I’m guessing they died from something else, listed as COVID.
If the government can mandate masks, it can mandate buttplugs with rectal thermometers that track you 24/7. For health. It can mandate 10k steps/day unless you have a medical dispensation, tracked by your government-issued pedometer. For health. It can mandate your consumption of cruciferous vegetables, to be monitored by transaction tracking at the grocery store and fecal sampling though your buttplug sensor. For health.
All I’m saying is the media has blown it out of proportion for political reasons and it’s not as deadly as projected.
Also, let our immune systems work and let us move on with our lives. Those who are vulnerable should wear a suitable mask, stay home, social distance and order food in.
I can’t drink until this is over. I won’t wear a mask, and I can’t enter any store in MI or IN without one now, and they can’t legally sell it to me through curbside pickup, and I won’t send my wife (who is willing to put up with more bullshit than she should) to buy what I won’t.
So I’m going through the rest of this shit stone cold sober unless I find some shrooms in the yard.

Have to be honest, not drinking for a couple of months during this clusterF8ck has made me proud of my discipline.
I’m only 4 pounds down (which considering my discipline and dietary restrictions is kind of crazy). I’m hoping a subtle redistribution of whatever is happening.
Regardless of my personality here, *cough* I’m a very happy, positive, smiley person. Always have been. It’s against my nature to be sullen or depressed, certainly not for long. This whole thing has been awful.
It’s not healthy for the population to be separated from the things they like to do and places they like to go to. I’m not particularly social, I wish I was, but people who are are getting hit hard. My MIL for example.
I think the reward of living our lives as we normally would is worth the “risk.”
I’ll sit out on my newly screened porch smoke a cigar, listen to some soothing music, and watch the fireflies.
——
Nice set up. Are the screens new or the whole thing?
I’ll sit out on my newly screened porch smoke a cigar, listen to some soothing music, and watch the fireflies..
What is that green stuff on the ground and in the sky?
I am saddened that America has such shit citizens. Irrational. Non critical thinkers. Sheep like.
Mr. B. gets most of his news from yahoo and NPR. And he’s very contrary. I say ‘black’, he has to counter with ‘white’.
I was saying this morning that if teachers won’t go back to school, then I want a refund of our taxes – the vast majority of which go to schools. Don’t go back to school…then why are we paying for bloated administrators/teachers/assorted ‘aides’, salaries, not to the mention the upkeep of brick and mortars? He’s telling me that you can’t blame the teachers for being afeared for their lives and wanting to stay safe. They aren’t getting proper data and don’t know where to go to find it or how…etc etc etc.
1. they are supposed to be ‘educated’. The educated seek. I have sought and I have found various sources telling me we have much improved treatments and that some work fantastically if started early….but our media and pols don’t want it to get out because scared people are easy to manipulate. Also…look to Yerp and asian countries WHO ARE SENDING THEIR FUCKING KIDS TO SCHOOL with zero dire consequences. Wtf.
2. They are as essential as less educated people going to work everyday to put food on the fucking shelves for their sorry asses, who expect that food to be put on the shelves by people who are exposed to hundreds of strangers every damn day. ….whereas, for them, they will be exposed to a fixed number of low risk of spread kids.
3. Educated people use their brain matter to come up with ways to do their jobs safely. Stay 6 ft from your students…put up a partition around your podium…teach your f*cking kids how to wash their hands and not pick other people’s noses.
Only the screening is new. It used to be just a covered side porch off of the sunroom. A couple weeks ago I was sitting out there of an evening having a cigar, but was getting eaten alive by mosquitos. Then I looked around and thought, all I need is some cedar framing and insect screen, and those little bloodsucking democrats can go fuck themselves.
4. As educated people, they should be pushing back against misinformation and politics instead of acting like f*cking sheep. Look at the good data and push it forward for it’s implementation. If the FDA and guys like Fauci have conflicts of interests – which they do, call them out LOUDLY.
I’m spitting mad and can’t imagine what I’d be if my kids were still school age. My county voted for schools to reopen with exceptions made for Karens.
Here is one of our state senators at a county council meeting. Pretty sure him speaking helped the county say yes to opening schools. Medical doctor – allergy, respiratory illness, immunology, does clinical research….studied various plagues, Spanish flu, intently. He was an expert witness in a case against Cuomo and DeBlasio, (to do with the virus I believe) and won. Nice, educated, mild mannered…says, as a society, it’s unprecedented how we’re dealing with covid… we’re doing it wrong.
all I need is some cedar framing and insect screen, and those little bloodsucking democrats can go fuck themselves.
Heh, it’s like we’re twins. I feel the same about cowbirds, who lay their eggs in other bird’s nests because they’re too f*cking lazy to sit on them and then raise them, themselves. ‘Hey Mr. B. bunch of democrats in the yard.’
PJ, because you’re stupid governor has shut down all schools, what are you going to do with your still school age kids? I hear a bunch of parents are starting pods with the help of some teachers.
Wth is up with CA…is anyone demanding a property tax reduction?
One of my hens perched on the enclosure fence for a minute last night, so we’re going to have to go the extra mile and add chicken wire over the top, I think. Which sucks, because it’s handy to toss weeds and such in that way.
Or I could just let that bird experience life on the outside and keep the other 5 happy as best I’m able.
Shit, if school is going to be online…then each state only needs one teacher per grade.
No taxes for schools and when police are defunded….can’t wait for that $4000 tax bill to go down to $50.
Our schools will all be online. There’s no way you can have one teacher per grade as the teachers still have to grade everyone’s papers. That’s like 1,000 kids per grade level. The classes are done by zoom and they’d be next to impossible to have any kind of class.
We start out online and and then gradually move to two days a week and then more and more….provided our governor doesn’t continue being an a-hole
I’m not drinking right now because it’s still 9 or so in the morning
and also because I can’t hold my liquor.
Also
2020 sucks
if I could sing Carin, I’d totally put on a concert for you
I had actually decided to cut back for fitness reasons last sunday, but then My sister, etc. And now, I can’t even think about it at all. Literally turns my stomach. So, tomorrow is one week zero drinky.
I had to up the beating of children and dogs to compensate.
” It’s against my nature to be sullen or depressed….”
======
It’s against my nature to be positive and smiley. Life hasn’t proven to be a smiley experience. Every day is a fight and trying to deal with the most serious problem……
Why do people accept invitations to do things they can’t possibly do?
For example, if HS was asked to sing the national anthem at the hog sucking championships you know he’d accept but would be sucking hog before he got to the bombs bursting in air.
Why do people accept invitations to do things they can’t possibly do?
I was actually thinking that
My bf was saying, “you’d think that if you knew you were going to throw the pitch, you’d practice a bit beforehand just to see if you could actually do it”
My response was
ego, he probably just assumed he could
I first learned about windmill pitching in my early years of practice when I saw a few teens with back pain from pitching clinics. Prior to that I thought it was all underhand pitching. Definitely makes the game more interesting and competitive for the girls
With the Portland riots I’m reading about them using leaf blowers to blow smoke away. I’ve also seen rioters tossing canisters back. If I had to develop a system to tear gas rioters I’d make a giant blower to send tear gas with a velocity and volume that a rioter wielding a puny leaf blower would be enveloped in a cloud of noxious fumes despite any effort to blow it back.
Same with the lasers they’re using to dazzle the cops eyes. I’d develop a counter battery system that would locate the source and direct a beam back in a fraction of a second.
I’ve seen articles about Israeli use of a noxious spray that smells like death being sprayed at protestors who are getting too close to border crossings. We’re really being too nice
I’ve seen articles about Israeli use of a noxious spray that smells like death being sprayed at protestors who are getting too close to border crossings.
ok but
do you really think these guys don’t already stink?
Final thought I had about these riots is Trump ought to, at some point after the rioters are repeatedly turned back by the fed cops and the Democrat complaints reach a crescendo, tell them to stand down for one night and let the rioters have their way. At that point the mayors and other assorted apologists will have to either criticize Trump for not defending the cities or applaud the destruction.
hahaha, Louis Gomert tried to have the democrats banned in Congress for their ties to slavery.
I was just reading that
I was afraid to link it

Lunch was tuna salad (awaits tuna and your mom joke) and a tomato fresh from the garden. The last time I had a garden was the year before knee surgery, so 5 years? Mini-me took charge of it and has done well. Hot damn, that ‘mater was good.
Mini-me took charge of it and has done well. Hot damn, that ‘mater was good.
There is nothing like a good tomato…that every sandwich place in SoCal never seems to have. They’re anemic, flavorless, and I guess there for looks?
For some reason I thought our East Coast tomatoes that were shipped from Cali were anemic and flavorless so they could survive the trip cross country. The only good store bought tomatoes around here are the greenhouse ones but they’re pricey and only for a splurge. Nothing compares with a good garden tomato.
Some scientist developed a superior flavorful tomato for the commercial market a few years back and American tomato growers told him to pound sand because they have no problem selling their shitty tomatoes in our stores.
He took his seeds to Europe where people don’t put up with shitty vegetables and they liked his creation.
I read an article about him maybe 10 or 15 years ago, never followed up on it. I hope he will try again.

Karens out in force this week. People can opt out of wearing masks. We can’t ask why. We aren’t supposed to engage. Unhinged woman demanded that the cart associates wear masks. Ricoh told her that they’re outside. It’s hot. Easy to socially Distance from a guy with a Mule bringing 25 carts to the disinfectant station. Karen started screaming at him. He told her she could curbside if she was that afraid. She screamed that she was going to shop at Costco. We all started laughing. That pissed her off even more. We usually get 5 mask complaints a day. Feed America is livid with Governor Wuhan. She blew up all of the BTS plans in her presser yesterday. 5-year-old First child to die from Coronavirus in Dallas County
Then the first sentence in the article gives the true story:
A 5-year-old boy from Dallas is among the latest victims to die from COVID-19 in North Texas. He had been critically ill at a local hospital and had underlying health conditions, officials said.
Then, the asshole Dallas County judge has to do his fear-mongering schtick:
“Sadly today we announced the death of a 5-year-old child from #COVID19. This is our first pre-teen death here in Dallas County. I want to point out to the public that we have seen a sharp uptick in children getting #COVID19,” Judge Clay Jenkins tweeted.

During the lockdown I have bought CIV VI, Dark Souls 3, and Stellaris and have no desire to play any of them. I should play around with the console game engine I downloaded to learn C++, but I’m feeling lazy.
Yes, Jay, but I don’t have to age. Ferment -> distill.
Light workout today:
Nothing. Being sick so long/often wrecked exercise habits in the fall, and the oppression of Lockdown has obliterated my will to do much of anything, so I’ve just been doing character builds in Skyrim instead.
MA has had a rough few days. We’re on waterproof mattress pad #3. We were trying to go to a cousins home for a graduation party. We can’t leave the bae. She’s continuing to slow down. Not ready to say goodbye. She’s our whole world, right now.
Why not try a bit of homebrewing? Not necessarily beer, but mead or wine.

We make mead, wine and brandy. It doesn’t take that long. 2 weeks if you don’t mind a little yeast. 3 months if you need it clear cuz you can’t drink like a man. Okay, brandy takes a few months. But wine doesn’t. Mead is just honey wine. Do it. I have some dandelion wine I’ll be bottling this weekend if I get around to it. It’s friggin amazing stuff, but then I’m a friggin redneck, so it’s required by law that I like it.

All the parts are available from Amazon and Ace hardware, though I did have to do some improv to hold the scuba tank steady for drilling, and I broke the ignition wire in the propane torch when disassembled it (you have to use one torch on the tube of the other to reduce the bend or it’ll interfere with the gas flow out of the power washer). Replaced that with some doorbell wire. It’s incredibly dangerous, but that video is one of the highest points in my life.

I’ve been thinking of trying to get skilled enough to offer small farms a surveillance package based on that same thought, Troy. The typical small farm in the US can only thrive in a high trust culture with respect for property rights. That goes out the window in a time of high civil unrest, and while sufficient physical security is likely too high a price point (and would make your land look like a prison yard), a set of cameras and proximity alarms is likely available for a reasonable cost.
yes, but…it has like a male, a female, a half male/female? and a handicapped person
like wtf? That’s not even a thing California requires, someone is just trying to be suuuuper woke
plus, their braille is just awful. Terrible graphics designers anymore. Sign companies are desperate for people who know how to do good designs…cuz no one does
Leon, what I need is something to let me know when someone is driving up. Motion sensors aren’t very good, too many plants moving in the wind or animals. They make sensors you can bury that detect large items like cars. Those have to be hard wired, though, at least the last time I checked. Current dog doesn’t bark at people, just coyotes and livestock in the yard. Surveillance cameras would be good too. Most people set up a few game cameras.

I can’t participate in this kind of insanity, so I’m not going. HotBride understands, and will cover for me. One of these days I’ll just say “Fuck it, you guys are cuckoo.”
one friend even brought her own plate and silverware in a ziplock bag, on drinks were handed out with a Clorox wipe instead of a napkin.

This is the level of irrational fear/stupid/crazy the media is generating.
Do we have the latest death rates for those who get it?
I can’t participate in this kind of insanity,
———-
Amen, Hotspur.
I’m (can’t think of the word…stunned, surprised, shocked, depressed) that the left will ruin the fucking Country to defeat Trump.
It’s over. Can we admit that yet? They’ll never stop and we just want to live our lives. You can’t beat that.
the afraid people keep telling me that they aren’t afraid, I’m the one who’s afraid.
Umm, I’m not locked in my house, with no human interaction. Who’s afraid, genius?
The only reason we came together as a union after the civil war was the honoring of the defeated. Without that, yes, it’s over. Prepare for brutal tribalism and violence on a scale scarcely imaginable while we separate.
Something that calls itself the USA will celebrate the tricentennial in 56 years. It won’t be a country any of us recognizes.
10/10 would smash
If you don’t watch the news (like my husband and myself) you don’t know anything is wrong:
No people dropping in the street.
No coughing, sneezing, in general public.
No lines for hospital care.
Don’t know anyone who had died from it.
We think we know a couple of people who had it but symptoms were flu like and short lived.
My husband talks to people around the country every day for business and his friends from college are also, literally, across the country. No one he’s talked to has had it, knows anyone who’s had it, or knows anyone who has died from it. They’ve HEARD of people but don’t know any.
Experts: Stay at home, Socially distance, Wear a mask
fucking cunts
Our uber lefty neighbor forwarded a petition to require masks for the entire state of GA.
Uh, no.
Why are lefties so pushy?
My brother (Seattle/Sun Valley…two hot spots for COVID) says he knows of 3 people who died from it.
I asked him, how old? And how healthy? He said two were over 75 and one sickly for a long time. I’m guessing they died from something else, listed as COVID.
At this point Covid is 100% political. It either furthers your political goals or doesn’t.
About 50% of people seem to get it, the rest are pawns.

Isn’t it weird in the history of history no virus has gone crazy in the summer but here we are.
For health.
I AM NOT SAYING IT’S FAKE. The virus exists.
All I’m saying is the media has blown it out of proportion for political reasons and it’s not as deadly as projected.
Also, let our immune systems work and let us move on with our lives. Those who are vulnerable should wear a suitable mask, stay home, social distance and order food in.
Anyone who isn’t suspicious of government-mandated anything is naive at best.
Also, google/bing/whatever Gov Newsome and his ties to Chinese mask purchases.

I’ll sit out on my newly screened porch smoke a cigar, listen to some soothing music, and watch the fireflies.
That nails it, MJ.
That’s a really lovely place to ponder life and the stupidity of people, Hotspur.
My husband talks to people around the country every day for business and his friends from college are also, literally, across the country. No one he’s talked to has had it, knows anyone who’s had it, or knows anyone who has died from it. They’ve HEARD of people but don’t know any.
Same here.
Dude. You can have anything delivered to your house.
Have to be honest, not drinking for a couple of months during this clusterF8ck has made me proud of my discipline.
I’m only 4 pounds down (which considering my discipline and dietary restrictions is kind of crazy). I’m hoping a subtle redistribution of whatever is happening.
I think the isolation and fear have been more brutal on the psyche of our population than the virus itself.
It’s over. Can we admit that yet? They’ll never stop and we just want to live our lives. You can’t beat that.
Bullshit. It can be beaten. Nobody wants to pay the price.
Maybe you can, MJ, but nothing near me will deliver alcohol or sell it through “curbside pickup”.
It’s for the best, really, I need to toughen up for the Burning Times.
I think the reward of living our lives as we normally would is worth the “risk.”
lulz
HAHAhAA, I hate saying it PJM, but that’s old. Funny, very funny but old.
It won’t be safe until John Travolta’s character in Boy in the Plastic Bubble can walk mask-free through a Walmart.

Are the screens new or the whole thing?
Only the screening is new. It used to be just a covered side porch off of the sunroom. A couple weeks ago I was sitting out there of an evening having a cigar, but was getting eaten alive by mosquitos. Then I looked around and thought, all I need is some cedar framing and insect screen, and those little bloodsucking democrats can go fuck themselves.
Cuomo murdered Dean’s in-laws. He’s lucky she’s just tweeting.
Sweden never shut down anyfuckingthing, and their kids are in school. Other than an early spike in nursing home deaths, they had a normal flu season.
So our kids miss a year of what passes for public education while all the staff get paid to sit home and watch netflix.
Meanwhile, at — I’m not kidding — Newsweek.
https://www.newsweek.com/key-defeating-covid-19-already-exists-we-need-start-using-it-opinion-1519535
But muh teachers!

Irritating little cunt throws like a girl. (No offense, girls.)
all I need is some cedar framing and insect screen, and those little bloodsucking democrats can go fuck themselves.
Heh, it’s like we’re twins. I feel the same about cowbirds, who lay their eggs in other bird’s nests because they’re too f*cking lazy to sit on them and then raise them, themselves. ‘Hey Mr. B. bunch of democrats in the yard.’
Why does Fauci get to throw the first pitch? When did he become a celebrity, the corrupt little cunt.
Did anyone see Fauci throw the first pitch nearly into the fucking dugout last night?
we were laughing so hard
Any of these girls are better than Fauci

PJ, because you’re stupid governor has shut down all schools, what are you going to do with your still school age kids? I hear a bunch of parents are starting pods with the help of some teachers.
Wth is up with CA…is anyone demanding a property tax reduction?
‘your’
One of my hens perched on the enclosure fence for a minute last night, so we’re going to have to go the extra mile and add chicken wire over the top, I think.
Lori Lightfoot is gunning for the Veep slot.
No taxes for schools and when police are defunded….can’t wait for that $4000 tax bill to go down to $50.
U R 2 Fun E
Our schools will all be online. There’s no way you can have one teacher per grade as the teachers still have to grade everyone’s papers. That’s like 1,000 kids per grade level. The classes are done by zoom and they’d be next to impossible to have any kind of class.

We start out online and and then gradually move to two days a week and then more and more….provided our governor doesn’t continue being an a-hole
That’s probably old too, but really gave me the lulz
Which sucks, because it’s handy to toss weeds and such in that way.
Yeah, but your neighbor will be glad you can no longer throw weeds in their yard.

Why do people accept invitations to do things they can’t possibly do?
For example, if HS was asked to sing the national anthem at the hog sucking championships you know he’d accept but would be sucking hog before he got to the bombs bursting in air.
Everyone would be embarrassed.
Why do people accept invitations to do things they can’t possibly do?
I was actually thinking that

I first learned about windmill pitching in my early years of practice when I saw a few teens with back pain from pitching clinics. Prior to that I thought it was all underhand pitching. Definitely makes the game more interesting and competitive for the girls
That’s why they’re lousy investors and pilots PG.
No offense taken, there’s a minority of my colleagues I can stand to be around in casual settings
However you feel about homos, I don’t wish the bend & snap on any man.
Not even Fauci.
I would wish it on Newsom…but my guess is, he’s been there, done that
Fauci isn’t worried because he’s on the HCQ
He’s prolly not getting a lot of cowgirl action, either.
Has anyone seen this? Breathtaking!

Is leon back yet, or still mad at Peej?
I was never mad and never left, I was just laughing at it and tweaking her over the silliness.
Mostly because she’s too far away for me to hear her.
Final thought I had about these riots is Trump ought to, at some point after the rioters are repeatedly turned back by the fed cops and the Democrat complaints reach a crescendo, tell them to stand down for one night and let the rioters have their way. At that point the mayors and other assorted apologists will have to either criticize Trump for not defending the cities or applaud the destruction.
oooh this won’t be the first time someone gets exasperated with me
My dingyness (is that even a word?) knows no bounds
so leon’s still mad.

For some reason I thought our East Coast tomatoes that were shipped from Cali were anemic and flavorless so they could survive the trip cross country. We got a really sweet card from all the kids we’ve/they’ve been feeding. I cried. $20

Oh, FFS. BREAKING NEWS!!!!!! on local news story reads:

Why not try a bit of homebrewing? Not necessarily beer, but mead or wine.
I need to make another batch of mead. I want to try and make something lighter so that I can drink it sooner.
Because home distillery is harder and involves fire, Alex.
That said, I do have a couple pounds of honey and could start that fermenting tomorrow if I liked.
LOL, wine and mead have to age for millenia. He’s trying to get booze NAO.
Seriously, Papazian’s Ginger Mead, one of the most accessible recipes I ever tried, still took like 2 1/2 years to get palatable, aging out of my cold cellar.

At the very least you could have the mead or wine ready for distillation. Or research medieval beer recipes that don’t go so heavy on hops.
Do you have a link?

These guys seem to have luck making something lighter which doesn’t require aging for months or years.

Then some work to build back up to pull-ups: five rounds of 10 seconds hanging and actively pulling with my lats followed by 45 seconds rest.
Hops are estrogenic. If I were going to make “beer” I’d make gruit.

um, with distilling, you still have to brew. Duh.
Light workout today:
Warmup walk around garden
Overhead tomato tying- 8 x 2′ stretches
Then some work to flip over the compost pile: 18 rounds of lift and twist followed by sharp pains and then a heating pad ad actively drinking gin followed by vodka.
Welp.
I just got a great picture of lil man with Donald Trump Jr.

We got that too…I think epic games gave it for free? Tried Red Dead 2, but got bore of it sooo fast

Good job, horse.
MA has had a rough few days. We’re on waterproof mattress pad #3. We were trying to go to a cousins home for a graduation party. We can’t leave the bae. She’s continuing to slow down. Not ready to say goodbye. She’s our whole world, right now.
lil man makes me laugh. I bet everyone will love that picture
Why not try a bit of homebrewing? Not necessarily beer, but mead or wine.
_______________________________________
We make mead, wine and brandy. It doesn’t take that long. 2 weeks if you don’t mind a little yeast. 3 months if you need it clear cuz you can’t drink like a man. Okay, brandy takes a few months. But wine doesn’t. Mead is just honey wine. Do it. I have some dandelion wine I’ll be bottling this weekend if I get around to it. It’s friggin amazing stuff, but then I’m a friggin redneck, so it’s required by law that I like it.
I swear, Leon, I don’t think I live more than an hour or so away. You can curbside pickup at my place. I have enough hooch to barter all the way through the burning times. I don’t have any gin AT ALL, since I’m neither pagan, nor gay, but pretty much anything else you can find on my shelves.
The wizards of smart in CT just voted to end qualified immunity for police.
If this stands most will quit.
Goddammit.

This should be interesting. A lot of libertarian folks on the right have been pushing for it as well.
Officers may use deadly force only when they exhaust all reasonable alternatives, reasonably believe the force creates no significant risk of injury to a third party and reasonably believe such use of force to be necessary.
Oh this won’t be abused at all, I’m sure.
Some say they only passed it because the Governor promised to veto it after the election.
Sounds about right.
They honestly think Fuck The Police is good for them.
Bring it.
This is why we are DOJ bitches. Graduated response on citizens. I’m getting roasted on a Morons FB Page. I made a joke about Property being more important than lives. Trying to decide between mock or block

A lot of libertarians also think global warming is totes serious. I actually would probably be a libertarian if the damn movement could get rid of those who couldn’t find a 3rd tier order of effect to any one of their bright ideas. They, as a movement, give the rest of us with a tiny smidge of common sense but an individualistic streak a bad name.
What will happen if you take away qualified immunity? Nothing. No arrests. No investigations. No flashing lights on the side of the road while you change a flat tire. Who I.
Would you do your job at all if any mistake you made, at all, could not only cost you your job, but also your pension, savings account, house, and car because someone got ass mad youn told them what to do? And then demanded you put yourself in that exact position 10-12 times per day and just hope for the best.
Fucking retards.

We should definitely get together at some point, Jude. If things had gone slightly differently I’d be living in Comstock right now. There’s a giant patch of land on east N that I’m selling slowly. If he actually takes all 3 years to pay me off, I’ll only have taken like a 10k loss on it. I think he was hoping to build this year but Wu Flu wrecked the plans. He’d have had to pay it off to start construction, so it’s a shared frustration.
Wife got me some London Dry while she was out getting gas for the mower. I insisted that she only get it if she was already going for her own sake. I’m not pagan or gay, no matter what you’ve heard.
All my typos and unintelligible rantings are sely the fault of my stupid cell phone and it’s Korean-hands-size type screen. Or my 5th bourbon in 40 minutes. It’s a close call.
I generally favor QI for police. If anyone should lose it it should be DAs and other elected officials.
I’m not pagan or gay, no matter what you’ve heard.

It’s not what I heard about you, but what I know about gin. Still, everyone makes mistakes. I’ll have to take you up on your offer to meet sometime. Just remember, it was your suggestion…
You will not be the weirdest person I’ve met from the internet.
I forget, have you seen my extreme weeding videos from the old farm? I reference MPP and assume everyone knows what I’m talking about.
Sadly, I haven’t used it since the move. I bet it would shoot ammonia just fine.
No, Leon, never saw the videos.
Lurked here off and on for a couple years, but never really clicked the links. I didn’t really have decent health insurance until recently.
I had bad weeds in my pond but didn’t like mucking about in it, so I did something about it.
The instruction book for building it is no longer on Amazon, but I have a pdf copy.
I call it Mostly Peaceful Protest.
Dammit. I miss mead.
Stoopid meds and depression.
If there are any good Jesuits left, it’s time to walk away. St Ignatius would not pleased with what’s become of these men.
Bro tim,
My mead is made 100% without depression. It’s a happy mead. Can’t answer for your meds, but if interactions tend to magnify results, happy mead should make you multiples of happy.
Leon,
Nice video. You look like fun. I need one of those flamethrowers… If for no other reason than to convince passing pedestrians that I’m serious.
Maybe it’s just a sneaky trick to get people to read her books.
Nah, Jesuits.
Dammit. I miss mead.
yeah I miss weed too
I see Hotspot found the picture
I’ve had a fng with me all week. Young guy, 3 tours over with 82nd Airborne Brigade Combat Teams. Comes home joins Springfield ( our shithole State Capitol) police. 2yrs and says “fuck this shit”.
Invest in Private Security companies, the industry is going to explode. Then again, maybe tangibles are a better investment right now.
During the lockdown I downloaded a new game (the zombie one with the motorcycle character) tried to get into it….just was like “meh”. Ended up watching youtube vids of somebody playing it through.
Half the time watching a high level player is more interesting than the actual game.
Democracy dies in defamation.
heh

I’ve been thinking of trying to get skilled enough to offer small farms a surveillance package based on that same thought, Troy. The typical small farm in the US can only thrive in a high trust culture with respect for property rights. That goes out the window in a time of high civil unrest, and while sufficient physical security is likely too high a price point (and would make your land look like a prison yard), a set of cameras and proximity alarms is likely available for a reasonable cost.
Funny

peej my phone is messing with that link. is it a gender free bathroom sign?
yes, but…it has like a male, a female, a half male/female? and a handicapped person
like wtf? That’s not even a thing California requires, someone is just trying to be suuuuper woke
plus, their braille is just awful. Terrible graphics designers anymore. Sign companies are desperate for people who know how to do good designs…cuz no one does
ok all these trump donation texts are getting annoying

H2 Security Solutions. We install the cameras, set up the remote turrets, and provide you with “Keep Out’ signs which are tasteful and we’ll designed.
Most people set up a few game cameras.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, this is a conspiracy. How am I supposed to wish sweet, sweet, sweet TIFW to choke on a tomato seed?

Boy, do I have some of you people fooled…. 😂😂😂
$5 on $150. Only one person spoke English.
We need to build the damn wall.
You could do radar for motion linked to IR for heat, or radar that triggered linear for vehicle detection, that’s how the autonomous cars do it. Lidar can be pricey though.
tipping is for legals
I was thinking that I was tipped only for those who spoke English at the table.

First time I ever got stiffed was by a black man telling me it is how he gets reparations.
Boy, do I have some of you people fooled…. 😂😂😂
Not..buying it…for…a…minute
So what is everyone tipping now? 25%? 30%
I watched “Raising Arizona” tonight. I thought it was pretty funny, but Mr. RFH didn’t care for Nic Cage.
I eat breakfast at a little place from time to time where you can get a big assed bacon egg bean &a cheese burrito and a cup of coffee for $6. I like the gorditas that work there so I quite often tip 100%. But as a general rule I’m still a 15% kind of guy.

Where on earth is this little piece of heaven? That meal would be about $12 here.
So what is everyone tipping now? 25%? 30%
I’m only tipping 20%, but honestly…eeeeeeeeeveryone wants a tip. I went to a self service frozen yogurt place and they wanted tips and I’m like, you’re freaking kidding, right? I’m doing all the work, and you want a tip?
