  2. How many players will take a knee during the Black National Anthem?

  3. Underboob

  4. Black National Anthem.

Are they too stupid to figure out what “National” in National Anthem means?

  5. Completely agree with the reviewers in this article

  6. If you want to claim your own “nation” on our soil, I’m afraid you’ve sealed how this has to go down.

I am so weary of this garbage, start to finish.

  7. Today’s model is much prettier when she smiles.

  8. Jimbro, hey, I know that guy! :)

  9. Yah Roamie, she doesn’t look like she is having a good time with her modeling gig, I had to look through 200+ photos to find two smiles.

Todays cover song is a remix of an old punk song by Suicidal Tendencies, ICE T is not an artist I would normally promote but it is a fun video with good production value. Leon might want to skip to 2:25 for the last verse.

  10. And Ace’s comments go splat. I fucking give up.

  11. So…..

I am having the same surgery as Beasn on Monday. I had originally been scheduled for late August, time for the ‘rona to settle down, but things got a lot worse and an operating time opened up. Go/no-go dependent on if I could get a covid test and a cardiac stress test done in time.

No problem getting the covid test, but holy shit, that was awful.

I show up for the stress test expecting it to be like previous tests, where I run on a treadmill while they inject me with radioactive stuff. Nope, I get the old fart, you just sit here and we’ll jack up your heartrate with technetium, sign this waiver in case we screw up. I ask, not unreasonably in my mind because of a history of heart rhythm problems, why can’t I do the treadmill test instead. One of the nurses answered that because of the Chyna virus, they don’t want patients exhaling and sweating all over the place. Okay, that makes sense.

Except she’s not done. She then starts a harangue about how she’s doing everything she can to not get the Wuhan flu. I say, “Okay”, I got my answer, let’s get this shit over with. But no, she’s just getting warmed up, she continues to rant about how there’s not one patient that’s worth her getting kung flu, she’s got her mom to think about. I say a little louder, “I UNDERSTAND”, and yet, she’s still on a roll, how awful this disease is, how many people have died. I’m wondering what do I need to do to get the lecture to stop, (I think I sighed in exasperation) and finally, the other nurse touches her on the arm, and she instantly stops in mid-sentence.

This dumb shit has everyone on edge. I passed the test, but I would have preferred the treadmill. Then I found $20, which I spent on lunch in my favorite Chinese restaurant. I got hot and sour chicken with hot and sour soup, which cleared the icky feeling from the covid test out of my sinuses.

  13. Damn. Good luck, Roamie.

  14. The damage to the spirit and psyche of the entire world cased by the reaction to this virus, I think, is catastrophic and immeasurable. Look what they’ve done to us.

  15. Story is sure to anger . Sorry. I don’t dare show Pat. He’ll lose his mind.

  16. PJ, property tax applies to homes, cars, boats, and motorcycles. We pay yearly, registration of vehicles is additional.

    The mill rate is 40.69.

I was wrong about them jacking up our car tax to subsidize those that live in the city. They haven’t done that yet.

  17. Shoulda taken the shots, taken the phones, and taken off back to St Louis.

  18. That’s awful, truly, but that’s the only option being left in this mess.

  19. Also, it occurred to me last night that if you were black and in a gang and wanted to kill another black guy in a rival gang, you’re bound to get off scot free if you hang the victim. The riots will ensure it.

  20. On a more humorous note, there was an old coot leaving the medical building who looked at me, coughed theatrically, and said, “I just haven’t felt good since I got back from China!” I laughed at him.

  21. Carin, I saw that on instagram yesterday and was horrified because I live in an area where that could certainly happen.

And anyone who thinks that woman “bumped the black person” (especially on purpose) is mental. This shit happens all the time. That was a group of filthy mouthed black trash.

  22. That lady shouldn’t have a carry permit.

    That’s my shopping cart!!

    * pulls gun *

    STEP THE FUCK AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. You don’t want my opinion of what needs to happen to the officials that made that arrest happen.

  24. I ordered french fries.

    hahahaha, good for him.

  26. They rammed her minivan multiple times as she was trying to escape the situation, Scott. She was trying to get them to lay off so she could get the hell away.

  27. When I lived in Texas, it was in a neighborhood with lots of middle class whites, Indians (from India) and blacks. Big difference…we all had similar values.

When I’d be walking and a group of kids would walk past (we lived adjacent to a high school) and maybe brush my arm or not notice until they were in right in front of me they AWAYS said something like, “Excuse me! Have a great day!” or “I’m sorry” and then smile. Very sweet, obviously well-raised kids.

The “mother” in the video Carin linked is trash and it shows in her kids.

    ——

    That’s 100% wrong.

  29. It’s not been confirmed but she looked pregnant. Holy shit, it’s her duty to protect her child.

  30. Oh, Scott was watching some other video.

  31. Are they too stupid to figure out what “National” in National Anthem means?

“Nation” refers to a group of people sharing a common ancestry, history, language, and culture. There’s a legitimate argument that American Blacks constitute their own nation, and that America is a multinational state.

  32. Alex is correct, we’ve conflated “nation” with “state” for so long that we’ve forgotten the Latin origin of the word, which is closer to “born together” and correlates better to the OT concept, where the tribes of Israel were a nation, Rome was a nation, Samaritans were a nation, etc.

America was supposed to be a multi-ethnic nation from the start, were men of many European origins were born together to form a new nation, but the blacks brought here to serve were always a people apart, as were the remaining Indians. The Civil War was supposed to heal the former rift, but the latter is likely permanent thanks to reservations and continued sovereignty of the tribes.

  33. I’ll stick with one Nation under God.

Let the heathens fight it out. I’ll avoid people as much as possible. Kind of do that already.

  34. Holy shit, roamy. If that nurse is sooo concerned about catching something, maybe she should find another occupation. When I got my sinuses pipecleaned, the last few seconds were HOREYSHITCOUNTFASTER! and then it made me cough up a lung. Two nurses were in the room and they did not look at all concerned. They were wearing masks, I was coughing out all the sides of mine while wiping my triggered nose.

The one employee who sort of scolded me was the one who entered my pre-registration info. I didn’t know how they were going to do the covid test and another nurse told me that she was going to send someone in next to do it…so I took one loop off an ear. Registration person said to put it back on before identifying who she was.

  35. Yikes! Today’s model has only been “legal” for 6 months. She is Rebecca’s age.

  36. 9/10 would smash

  37. During recovery and for the duration of my overnight stay, I was not made to wear a mask. I brought an extra one to wear on my way out.

Mr. B. wears one if he has to go into a grocery store…until I am fully recovered.

  38. If shes legal, shes legal.

  39. Jeez. I’m in a more sour mood than usual. Maybe the knowledge of not having my usual week vacation? Which honestly, I had two months earlier, it shouldn’t bug me. I don’t know. I should probably just chill, it’s not like it’s super-busy at work and there’s folks here to ride me to do anything.

  40. She’s the poster (poater?) child for Resting Bitch Face. But she does have nice, big, boobs. She more than qualifies for the Friday Funbags Extravaganza.

  41. Today has a Twilight Zone feel to it. I keep wanting to run and get the mail or drop off trash at the dump then I remember it’s the holiday observed day. And it looks like they bagged a double holiday out of it

July 4, 2020 Saturday Independence Day

    (from the usps website)

Farmer’s market is open for veggie pick up. We asked Ben to get dog food yesterday and unless it’s in his Jeep he’ll be going tomorrow to get some.

So much easier when it’s on a Monday.

  42. Some Executive VP of Boeing was fired for writing an op-ed that women in combat arms would be detrimental to the military. In 1987. 33 years later his career is over because of it.

  43. Hopefully he banked a lot of money from Boeing over the years and now sues them for wrongful termination.

  44. Our vehicle excise tax is not too bad but it sucks when you’re driving a new vehicle. My 2007 Tacoma is under $200 for the year. It’s been like that for at least 5 or 6 years so I don’t remember the higher fee amounts. Just remember hating to have to pay them.

  45. If you’re sending your women out to fight, it means the battles are too close to home.

  46. Romy, I think she was trying to get your heart rate up for the stress test. She was doing her part. We’re in this together, you know

  47. https://www.bostonherald.com/2020/07/02/somerville-approves-polyamorous-relationship-policy-more-than-two-people-can-be-in-official-domestic-partnership/

“It’s really exciting,” Izenson said. “It’s the bottom-up community work like this that creates genuine social change and acceptance.”

Sounds like something a power bottom would say. Next in line is age of consent.

  48. Remember when opponents of gay marriage predicted that polyamory and transgenderism and were mocked by the left and libertarian socially liberals as paranoid? Pepperidge Farm remembers. And is making a fucking list.

  49. The damage to the spirit and psyche of the entire world cased by the reaction to this virus, I think, is catastrophic and immeasurable. Look what they’ve done to us
Before the Floyd murder, we in our house had been discussing how the world was a rubber band pulled taut and was ready to snap. Guess it is snapping

  50. Found my “mask”:

  51. Article from the WSJ, probably behind the paywall but you get the idea:

You Can Leave Your Mask On: Nudists Wear Just One Item in Covid Times
-At some clothing-optional destinations, masks aren’t optional, presenting issues with tan lines and logistics. ‘We don’t have pockets.’

    Wear just the mask

  52. And just like that, Eyes Wide Shut went from fiction to fact.

  53. Also, the next person to allege that the “slippery slope” is a fallacy deserves a faceful of 2×4.

  54. Laura and I did a pick up at that very same nudist colony.

    Thankfully it was winter.

  55. are leon and Alex saying that we have multiple nations living here? just we are under one government? I thought the national anthem represented everyone, not just those that follow a certain section of society.

  56. our nation is designed so we all get along and work together. states have mottos but not anthems. that is supposed to be how we delineate regional differences. not an entirely separate set of allgiences.

  57. It’s supposed to, and that was always the ideal, but throughout our history, there have always been either people who considered themselves separate, or considered some group or groups to be separate from America. The earliest colonists excluded Catholics and gave us Maryland, the Confederates by and large thought the Africans were a separate people, the Indians largely considered themselves separate just as La Raza types do today, etc.

E pluribus unum was a goal, an aspiration. There are always and everywhere bad and not-so-bad actors fighting against it.

  58. The governor here just mandated a $100 fine for not wearing a mask. She also cancelled the state fair and the balloon fiesta in October. Huge financial impact for Albuquerque.

My question to the mask nazis is “When do you stop wearing the mask?” When there’s no threat of corona virus? When there’s a vaccine for colds and flu?

  59. If any of y’all have been putting off buying more ammo, I hope you don’t need .380 ACP. I’ve just spent a few hours trying to find the good stuff and only walked away with a few hundred practice rounds. Guy at the fancy gun shop said the shortage was all “consumer driven”, make of that what you will.

  60. Today model is very pretty, but what’s with the stupid eye makeup where the corner come up to a point. You see it everywhere now and it looks terrible.

Also people in nudist places tend to be people no one want to see naked.

  61. Our county can finally move to phase 1.5. So finally get a hair cut and some outdoor dinning. Stones can now refuse service if you don’t were a mask. If the f’ing mask work why do we need to social distance and why can’t everything be opened up.

  62. God I can’t type.

  63. CDL class scheduled for the 18th. We’re doing a crossfit private class.

Guy at the fancy gun shop said the shortage was all “consumer driven”, make of that what you will.

I went to Academy last Friday. They had 14 handguns in the display case and that was everything in the store. No stock in the back. Rifles were limited to either .22 or bolt action single shot models of any larger calibers. They had a pretty decent stock of long barreled hunting shotguns but zero tactical style. Ammo was either .17, .22, or obscure shit like Government 45-70. People are skeered and they’re gunning up.

But I promise you this…..if you see me on tv holding off the mob with my skeery carbine I won’t be wearing a pink polo shirt and white pants.

  67. hah glad I wasn’t the only one that thought cdl was a truck license

  68. After doing a bit of Internet research it appears that young Ms. Hadek has yet to do any nude or topless shots. Yet.

  69. cpl. whatever. I hate you all.

But If I wanted to be a truck driver, I would rock that shit.

  70. are leon and Alex saying that we have multiple nations living here? just we are under one government?

Yes. It’s been that way since the Founding, when you had essentially the mercantilist free states in the north and the agrarian slave states in the south. By the time of the civil war those divisions had solidified into two separate nations.

I thought the national anthem represented everyone, not just those that follow a certain section of society.

That’s the ideal, but especially over the past fifty years it’s been undermined by many on the left who wanted to sow division as a precursor to revolution, as well as by the libertarian right who have never been comfortable with the idea of a collective national identity.

  71. Can’t help with good .380 ammo, Pups, but I can send you some more practice ammo if you need it.

  72. It’s maddening that the cops will sit there and watch lefties assault people and do nothing, but when you respond and defend yourself, you go to jail. That being a hermit thing is really coming in handy for me right now.

  73. Thanks Pepe, I’m going to be OK I think. Remember the run on 22LR awhile back? I don’t even remember why that one was…after Sandy Hook maybe?

    *continues whittling recurve bow*

  74. Concealed Dildo License?

  75. So, if you look at the stats, Florida certainly is showing ALL SORTS of new cases.

And the death rate … is what it was when they had just a few cases.

April 14 they had 72 deaths (that is one of their highest days ever). That same day, they had 609 new cases.

June 24, 5,500 new cases. I mean, WOW, that’s a lot for one day. June 24, 45 deaths. Florida’s death rate has remained in that “below 50” a day for almost the entirety, but around that number. I don’t feel like running the average, but it’s probably below 45 a day for the entire pandemic. Up until the end of may they had under 1000 new cases a day. The numbers have been going up since the beginning of June, but the death rate is still about the same.

    Which, weird, right?

  76. And Carin they are of course counting deaths with Covid not deaths from Covid.

  77. of course. But even not considering that, one can see the #s are no cause for panic.

  78. We are disastrously low on all ammo. You can never have too much. And I haven’t been to the range in years. I’ve totally let myself down.

  79. You’d think people would be crunching these numbers. With the increase # of positives, and the death rate plummeting.

  80. Absolutely, Carin. Agree.

    That’s why it’s doubly infuriating. It’s garbage.

I spoke with a friend who lives 6 months in Florida and 6 months in New Hampshire and I was so disappointed to hear her be so worried about COVID. But she’s 73 and her husband is 75 but age doesn’t matter when you’re dealing with a scam.

My husband said to respect her fear. My response was, No, she can be fearful but I’m not going to respect it. My friend and I had a mild, very mild, discussion about it being blown out of proportion, that’s what the numbers tell us. But I think like most the news has gotten to her.

  81. The people posting pictures from 1918 with masked people at ball games need a lesson in what a cytokine storm is, and why Spanish Flu was a completely different beast than Wuhan Flu.

    Nailed it.

  83. A person crippled by fear of a nonexistent threat needs gentle encouragement and better facts, not reassurance that they should stay afraid.

  84. High fives Leon.

That’s why I only talked numbers. And mentioned plunging death rates.

  85. One section left to mulch in the front yard flower area, and we are getting a gullywhomper! I thought I’d run out between showers to finish shoveling out the mulch but I got caught in the start of a fat-raindrop downpour and had to retreat. Now it’s like, Florida rain out there. Love it. My truck’s getting clean.

  86. On hot days when we were little kids (years before we had AC), my sister and I would put our bathing suits on and run outside in downpours like this. Fond memories.

  87. Wife was inspired by our trip to the sheep farm. Not to get sheep, she was already in for that, but to clean up our yard because theirs has a bunch of random junk in it. So today we went to the sketchy part of South Bend to drop off all the scrap metal and a bunch of busted picnic table umbrellas we’d acquired through the years.

  88. At a scrap yard, not like in a random vacant lot.

  89. Good idea, Leon. My backyard is looking redneckish too.

  90. It’s been too hot by me to do anything outside. THe grass is scorched.

  91. Why do people keep bashing the US for its covid attitude, when EUrope’s #s are Waaaaaaay worse than ours? If you ignore New York and Detroit … we’re a MODEL for how to deal with it.

It really is a wacky world we live in. It’s as if no one knows anything, and a talking head can make any claim they want and people will just go along with it.

  92. The Seattle city council communists decided that the Seattle PD was making the ‘mostly peaceful protesters’ (The folks looting, vandalizing, and burning businesses) too uncomfortable, so they passed a new regulation:

According to the ordinance, “no City department shall own, purchase, rent, store or use crowd control weapons,” including “kinetic impact projectiles, chemical irritants, acoustic weapons, directed energy weapons, water cannons, disorientation devices, ultrasonic cannons, or any other device . . . to cause pain or discomfort.”

I suppose that leaves only… The Comfy Chair! Or Guns…

  93. On hot days when we were little kids (years before we had AC), my sister and I would put our bathing suits on and run outside in downpours like this. Fond memories.

We had to use sprinklers…rain wasn’t a thing (cept for that one year), but still totally a blast

  94. I suppose that leaves only… The Comfy Chair! Or Guns…
    Why not both?

  95. Baldilocks posted about the Black National Anthem on her blog. So did several other Conservative black accounts on Twitter. The NFL isn’t going to like what they put out there.
