A Primer On Gretchen Whitmer

The fine governor of Michigan  (and possible VP candidate, which means future POTUS because, let’s be honest, Biden isn’t going to make it long) has been in the news a LOT, so perhaps this should have been done long ago.   Better late then never, so here we go.

Gretchen Esther Whitmer (born August 23, 1971) is an American politician serving as the 49th governor of Michigan.

Bla bla bla

After graduation from Forest Hills Central High School, just outside Grand Rapids,[10] Whitmer earned a BA degree in communications from Michigan State University in 1993 and a Juris Doctor from Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1998.

2000 she began her career as a politician.   So … college, law school … politics. That’s it. 18 years from college kid, to governor, doing NOTHING but working in politics and in the various tentacles of the machine.

Our Gretchen has been getting around since the pandemic started, and a few weeks ago the number was pretty high of how many television appearances she has made (in early April it was 30, but I can’t find the number now).

Every couple of days we’re treated to her little press conferences, but I stopped listening weeks ago.  Pretty sure this is all you need to know:

100087356_3104022596309119_3840217034872848384_n

She’s a “progressive democrat”, but this means she’s really interested in taking away your freedoms. Control freak.  And she hates it when people protest what she’s done, threatening to “extend the lock-down” if we don’t obey.

2014-06-13-Doloresumbridge1

For a while, she banned the sale of carpet and paint. Garden stuff. Furniture.   We’re still on a complete lock-down here in Michigan, but she’s opening up the Northern portions (because that’s where the elite vacation) in a few days.  MIND YOU – you can’t go camping up there, which is what the little people do.  Campgrounds are closed until at least the end of next month.

I’m sort of thinking Whitmer blew up the dam and drained Wixom Lake because people weren’t following her orders. wixom_lake_iii.jfif_

Anyone interested in lakefront property for cheap?

While other states are opening up, and evidence is mounting that this is ALL FOR FUCKING NOTHING  (I will link this article ONE MORE TIME for you asshoes),  Gretchen is like a horse with blinders on – determined to stay the course no matter what.

And how long does this … (waves hands around) BULLSHIT continue?   Everything aside, all the economic disaster … there is also this:

Just got news that the Deftones concert (in August) has now been “postponed” until 2021.    Because… you know, I really would buy tickets for a concert a FUCKING YEAR AND A HALF AWAY.

Fuck

(one more – just found it)

Pupster sent me the most amazing thing ever- I am going to wear it everywhere. I’m trying to think of an excuse to go out and wear it right now …

  1. I want to add, that I have no idea where her accent comes from. NO ONE downstate talks like that.

I think she has some far west yooper in her.

  2. Wow. This is a really great poat.

  3. Carin, you forgot this one:

  4. In lieu of what I really want to say about this, I’ll just say “Good Morning”.

  5. By the way she looks like shit in that blue dress.

FTR I linked that Loser sign yesterday. Huuurrrrrrmph.

I know what it’s like when no one clicks your links.

    SAD!

  6. She’s horrid.

  7. Mare, someone put it on my facedouche, and I was pretty sure someone linked it here. But I had to include it. I mean, how could I not? Plus, I just found the new one (bottom of poat) moments ago.

  8. You know that name that Hotspur calls certain people that desperately deserve it? She is the queen of those people. Look up that name in the urban dictionary and her picture will show up. She gives that name a bad name. No, it’s an insult to that name to call her that name. She’s so much worse.

  9. If I wrote her into a novel, people would roll their eyes in disbelief. She’s like a cartoon villain in her petty wickedness.

  10. Well, it’s a good poat, Carin.

  11. Nice curveball in the second pic. Well done.

  12. Bruce would be a better governor. He’s already a better woman.

  13. I was going to comment on the uncanny resemblance to a different media figure with that picture.

  14. Sleepy Joe and Kommissar Karen as the Dem ticket? Oh please oh please let it be true.

  15. Cardiologist follow-up today. Attempt to draw blood again I guess to confirm how the issue is progressing? Hoping for positive outcome. I’d say I’m tired of my life being stuck in limbo, but that’s where it’s been most of my life, probably largely my fault, so.

  16. The world would be a better place to live if we’d just let women run it. I heard that somewhere a while back and there seems to be no data available to contradict it.

  17. I didn’t realize she was overweight. I’ve only seen her big weird head on TV.

  18. As Ms Pelosi puts it, morbidly obese.

  19. How far our from the election are we? Less than 6 months?

I like that the conventional wisdom is that Biden will steamroll Trump.

    LOLGFYWAC

  20. I like listening to Juan Williams too, MJ. He’s dreamy.

  21. Big lib on Facedouche screaming about how Trump is a liar claiming he was named man of the year in Michigan several years back and defying anyone to show proof. Anyone got anything about that?

  22. They’ve learned nothing.

They’re running an older, more demented version of Hillary.

    Great choice!

  23. I’m anxiously awaiting MJ’s appraisal.

    X/10 would (ornot) smash

  24. PD, I’d smash her. It’s not what you think.

  25. May I speak to the manager of twitter?

    *clicks mare’s link

  26. 3/10 would smash, make a baby on her face, steal her wallet, and ghost her.

  27. Trump supporters should go to work first!

Iowa Karens are up in arms, youth sports can start practice on June 1. Bars open May 28, 50% capacity. Theaters too!

Pretty soon Car in (not Karen) can come over for a concert.

  28. By the sea,
    By the sea,
    By the C-U-N-T

  29. Heh, thanks for clicking my link, Jay!

    lolol

  31. It may be a small thing to some people but the “You must stay in your home and not visit your second home and go anywhere actually, but I can do what I want” from governors really pisses me off.

    That fat asshole in Illinois.
Newsome evidently has been going to Montana to get haircuts and goods.
And that bitch in Michigan goes to her cabin.

Don’t get me started on the fake Cuomo’s. Stupid and giant assholes.

  32. I can’t believe people in Michigan are ok with her approach to locking up the state.

When the narrative emerges that the key differences in state death rates was sending covid grandmas back to their nursing homes to kill all of the other grandmas it’s going to leave a mark.

It can’t be ignored. I don’t think the governors were trying to kill people, but they made incredibly poor decisions based on terrible information.

It was costly and will demand an answer regardless of the attempts by the NY media to ignore it.

  33. Imagine trying to prop up this message:

Our states had the highest death rates and we did the best job ever!

    Eventually it crumbles.

  34. 3/10 would smash, make a baby on her face, steal her wallet, and ghost her.

    10/10 she would stalk you.

  35. MJ, The gretch has a 66% approval rating!

  36. oh great, just saw that WordPress has the new editor releasing to everyone on June 1.

  37. shouldn’t that be smoke, HS?

  38. Sorry about your bitch governor. She’s doing it for the (aborted) children, no doubt.

    And the gay clubbers.

  44. Twitter is where serious people discuss information these days.

It’s like an idiosphere where everyone is pretending to know something cuz credentials or bluecheck.

    Fucking gag me.

  45. Fucking gag me.

    Mom?

  46. I was able to spend like five minutes on twitter just now. Found a good tweet from wiserbud to retweet, and then the general din of utter bullshit just had to be shut down again. Five minutes. That’s all I can take today.

In other news, I made a strawberry-lemon vinaigrette yesterday that is even better on my extra-cronchy-cronch salad today. The lemon peel got to macerate a little more.

  47. hmm, strawberry and lemon, interesting

  48. The sweet: tangy satisfaction ratio.

Yeah, I’m talking about your mom.

  49. Meeeeeeeeee. Eeeeeeeee and Mrs Jooooanes, mrs Jones, mrs joooooans…..

Just played from my old man’s garage radio next door. Instant flashback to being kid in NYC listening to transistor radio in my room at nite.

  50. I shared a room with my older brother growing up until my dad finished the rest of the house and we all got our own rooms. He used to play his radio at night and I got to hear a lot of good music as a kid. The best memory was hearing The Cars live at The Paradise for their first big concert.

🎶Let The Good Times Roll 🎶

  51. Happy Feast of the Ascension, fellow Christians barred from public gatherings.

  52. My dad was too cheap to pay the extra to put a radio in any of his vehicles until it started coming standard in them in the early 70’s. Our first car with a radio was a 71 Chevy Kingwood stationwagon. And even then, parents controlled the radio so we listened to the station that was strictly news, weather, crop reports, Chicago commodities report, etc. Which is all to say, the only music I was exposed to until I turned about 11 or 12 was church hymns and classical stuff like Beethoven, Mozart, and Handel. And then one day my older brother brought home Deep Purple’s Machine Head. “Turn That Down” became a common refrain in our house after that.

  53. Last time off I took, ended up being cold and rainy. I’m off next week, and it looks like it will be a great run of awesome Spring weather here.

  54. My dad was too cheap to pay the extra to put a radio in any of his vehicles until it started coming standard in them in the early 70’s. Very similar upbringing, except my first experience with a radio in a car was my own first car. My parents never had one until after I was grown up.

My dad’s refrain around the house was, “Turn off those screaming niggers!”

LOL – he wasn’t a racist or anything.

  55. Dad didn’t like radio in the car – didn’t want to be distracted while driving.

Mom, on the other hand, listened to the Muzak station.

    Good times, good times.

  56. My dad’s refrain around the house was, “Turn off those screaming niggers!”
LOL – he wasn’t a racist or anything.

My dad referred to it as “nigger noise”. I’d show him the album cover supporting my contention that Ted Nugent, the members of Journey, Van Halen et al were in fact Caucasians. It didn’t matter to him as he’d reply, “Rock and Roll Rhythms are derived from African drum music so it don’t really matter what color they are. It’s still all nigger noise.” He also used to like to say, “Damn, I thought someone put their work boots in the drier”.

  57. We had a Muzak station around here. Or some such that played sanitized instrumental versions of pop music hits. I’ll never forget those violins briskly pealing out Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Let’s get physical.’

  58. “Easy Listening”

  59. that’s it, thanks

  60. I’m about 1/3 the way though my exam and having a much easier time answering this one than the test I finished up yesterday. That one was a general ortho test, this one is all pediatrics. I still have to look up most of the genetic questions but that’s been about 5 of 38 questions so far.

My dilemma, which I think I’ve solved, is whether to take the general test or the Peds one for my recertification exam next year. I took the general one 8 or 9 years ago for my first recert and it was pretty easy compared with the exams they gave while we were training (which was like the one I finished yesterday).

  61. You should probably just go back to med school. I’m sure they’ve got new things to teach you by now. Like “Medicine and Gender/racial transectional treatment. “

  62. Can you chop off my micro vag and give me a big ol honkin dong?

  63. Armed Forces Radio was our link to America. Casey Kasem. Shadow. Radio programs from the 40s. Learned to listen to baseball. Came back to the states. WBAP and Rangers baseball. We were never allowed to say the “N” word. When we lived in VA, we were frequently ostracized because my parents would have unmarried POC (Military) over for the holidays. Navy frogmen, Marines, Navy.

  64. MA is adjusting to being blind. We’ve cancelled our July vacation. Anti-seizure meds are working.

  65. My dad liked to sing, so not only did we have the radio with the best speakers he could get, we had either an 8-track tape or cassette player in the car and a couple hundred tapes to choose from. Fond memories of singing along with Elvis, Marty Robbins, Glen Campbell, Ray Price, Jim Reeves, Bing Crosby, Pat Boone, Andy Williams (mostly Christmas albums there), Buddy Holly, etc.

  66. Can you chop off my micro vag and give me a big ol honkin dong?
    ——
Cash in advance and you’ll be shopping for Magnum condoms by Labor Day.

  67. Good interview, Crowder interviews MeAgain Kelly

If she said half of this stuff on her shows and interviews, I’d have more respect for her. No, she lets the ultra bitch label sit out there.

  68. *venmos Timbro a gazillion Brazilian Reales.

  69. Roamy, my dad had a fancy Japanese system that we weren’t allowed to touch. Fast Forward. One of my mom’s cousins was going through a divorce. He stayed with us in Dallas. He loved Fleetwood Mac. I had to listen to that 💩 every morning for a year. My dad was in Korea. Cousin didn’t know “Dad rules”.

  70. Mj, you need to start pressuring GND to run the road Ragnar. The chances of needing another runner are getting stronger every day.

Of course, that will mean you’ll both need to train and prepare for something that might now happen.

    ugh.

  71. I could always get Ethan to run too. But we need all the spares we can rn.

  72. MI wins. Their Governor is the biggest Twat in history. Bigger than Cuomo. Bigger than Wuhan Grisham

  73. Secondhand News, oso

  74. Dumbass on telecon day #2 repeated his bullshit about washing hands, wearing masks, we’re all in this together, but said it at the end of the telecon instead of the beginning. The repeated chimes of people disconnecting during his little speech were pleasing to hear.

  75. haha, “click”

  76. I need to wash all my masks to pretend to be on point. I miss America. South Dakota was awesome. Too cold.

She could do it tomorrow. I’ll work on it but no promises.

  96. Gretchen wont allow it.

  97. oso, chicom Chuck dissed the US again on facebook and called anyone defending her, ‘Trumptard’. He lost his shit when I responded to him with ‘Chi-tard’, and called me a bitch. He really is a nasty little f*ck.
I had zero knowledge that the private group was his. And if I remember right, I was ‘added’ to the group. Had I known it was his, I would have never allowed the add.

  109. Drinking Evian remains popular.

  110. Face out of a horror movie. Nurse (or Sturmbannfuhrer) Gretchen for the inmates who require “special treatment”. Governing style is, “because I’m the Mommy, that’s why”.

Best you can say is nice curves, great rack.
