HHD

Good morning, and welcome to still yet another edition of Hunky Hump Day. Let’s get started.
Song of the day.

This is supposed to be Bradley Cooper.

Nice looking ride.

Too bad he can’t afford a decent pair of jeans.

Twitter find.

Might be a repeat.

Last, but not least.

Thank you for your attention, thanks to Pirate’s Cove for the linky love, and y’all have a good day.

How many of these fellows have used their position as highly paid man meat models to sexually abuse women? My guess is “All Of Them”. #metoo #andshit.

What exactly constitutes a “dad bod”? Based on what I’ve read it seems like the definition fluctuates between “I lift weights regularly but I like pizza and beer on Saturdays” to “I haven’t seen my dick in years without a mirror.”

And, listen to 8 different tool fans regarding the meaning of lyircs, and you’ll get 6 different versions of the meaning, and two who are calling you too stupid to even discuss the issue with.

  31. Comment by Pupster on August 21, 2019 11:42 am

I said please don’t tell me.

Boy 1’s food and water phobias are getting worse, he seems to be eating enough but is very skinny, he pretty much refuses anything that is not certified organic non-gmo. We buy gallons of reverse osmosis water in glass jugs, and he uses that to cook, and even rinses the cookware and utensils with it. No plastic storage, we have glass Tupperware with rubber lids. He doesn’t trust us to prepare his food, so it is almost impossible to have a meal together. I hoped this was a phase he was going through but it’s gotten to the point where he is completely obsessed and he’ll get angry if you try to reason with him about it.

    True story……sad. But true.

I have a cousin who’s just a few months younger than me. Other than one semester at a juco when he was 18, he never left home. Until his parents died. He’s in a cut rate assisted living facility now. When we moved him out of his parents house we found mountains of used toilet paper and q-tips and hundreds, if not thousands of empty bottles of hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl alcohol. That was his means of personal hygiene. Yeah, he crazy. So was his dad. And eventually his mom.

  63. Comment by Jay in Ames on August 21, 2019 2:29 pm

How can you say it’s not important?

Not sure if anyone is aware. This is a very serious and important thing that is happening right now. Our Amazon rainforest is burning at a record rate due to illegal logging. This is serious! If you think this won’t affect you, think again. The rainforest accounts for 20% of the worlds entire oxygen. Not only that, it accounts for temperature changes and weather patterns happening around the world as well. 15% of our freshwater comes from the rainforest due to the transpiration process that happens within it. Our ingredients for our medicines come from the rainforest, 70% of those are for cancer medicines. Coffee and chocolate lovers, your coffee beans and cocoa beans are disappearing. Only 2% of the world is rainforest. This is serious! The media is hardly giving this any coverage when this is actually a legit thing to be concerned about. People and animals are losing their lives and homes because of this. Please help make others aware of what is happening and how serious this is. Climate change has already been happening but it’s only going to get worse if we start losing our rainforests.

As a Brazilian, I cannot thank you enough for bringing this up. I’m so glad to see that this is finally getting in the news worldwide. The sky in certain cities, some of them as far as 1700 miles from the fores, is grey for DAYS due to all the smoke. The water coming from the rain is grey.
My country is being killed right in front of our eyes. 😞 #PrayForAmazonia

Also, we aren’t hearing about the fires in the Arctic Circle!

This is frightening and sad. I see CNN wrote the article but you are right that it is not getting enough news coverage just like we are not hearing about the fires in the Arctic Circle.

  64. Comment by Brother Cavil on August 21, 2019 2:33 pm

Serves me right for commenting from ignorance. Shoulda saved the fake news fake headline for something deserving.

  65. Comment by Car in on August 21, 2019 2:51 pm

  66. Comment by lauraw on August 21, 2019 2:51 pm

Our Amazon rainforest is burning at a record rate due to illegal logging.

Is it ALL logging that causes fires, or just the illegal kind? And how can removal of fuel cause fires?

    I’ll wait.

  67. Comment by Car in on August 21, 2019 2:52 pm

Also, a lot of the fires in Brazil (not the entire Amazon – those numbers aren’t up) were intentionally set. So wtf is wrong with the people of Brazil? Are the stupid or something?

    /just asking questions

  68. Comment by Colorado Alex In Exile on August 21, 2019 2:54 pm

I suspect that they mean the practice of slash and burn agriculture, where farmers are removing large areas of jungle to plant crops.

  72. Comment by lauraw on August 21, 2019 3:22 pm

  73. Comment by Car in on August 21, 2019 3:28 pm

  77. Comment by lauraw on August 21, 2019 4:08 pm

Coffee and chocolate lovers, your coffee beans and cocoa beans are disappearing.

You got a point about coffee, looks like Vietnam and Columbia will have to step up production. But most chocolate comes from Africa, so.

  78. Comment by lauraw on August 21, 2019 4:11 pm

Also, fire is a transient event. All that shit you’re talking about can be regrown successfully in the burned areas in a short time.

Not really sure what my ‘awareness’ can do for the people and animals being displaced, unless Brazil is formally asking for US help. A post on social media is a weird way to do that.

  79. Comment by Pendejo on August 21, 2019 4:14 pm
