Four Seasons Converge

This time of year the worlds of football, baseball, basketball and hockey all meet and compete for our attention. There’s probably some golf, tennis and WNBA going on somewhere but, really, no one really knows. The A’s – Yankees AL Wild Card game is on in the background. One game to determine who faces the Red Sox. It’s been a good year to watch the Sox with all their winning. Despite that they have heartbreak written all over them. Their bullpen sucks and I’m guessing they’ll go home early. Alright, enough sports. Let’s turn to funny animals.

  1. FBI report on Kavanaugh is out today. WH has reviewed it and the word is “No Corroboration”. So this means all the whining will stop and we can get on with the vote? Not a chance. I’m already hearing two sets of whines. 1. CBF’s Attorneys: “They didn’t interview our client!” and 2. Pocahontas Warren: “There’s only one copy of the report and we need to share it. The people need to see what’s in the report!” I can only imagine this will snowball into something resembling a mob outrage as the day wears on. Oh wait, it already is one.

  4. Probably old news by now, following up on the kicker story yesterday

  5. ww

well, this is starting out as a shitting day.

  6. Fuck wordpress.i’m in no mood for this.

  7. I’m gonna comment all day from this. I’m irritated.

  8. This is the new me. Get used to it.

  9. doggie update –
    large brain tumor
    major bummer
the pack dynamic changed last night

  10. Sorry about the pupper :( That sucks.

  11. Moose and Oschi have been living in Erin’s room for the past day. Crying female apparently requires their attention. Oschi’s out this morning. Nice to have one dog back.

  12. Moose often hangs with Erin (the traitor). But the Oschi thing was new. She’s usually at my side 24/7.

  13. Moose LITERALLY left her room once yesterday for 2 minuets. Came upstairs, looked at me, then went back down.

  14. I feared bad news for the Jams since we hadn’t heard from you.

    Sorry to hear it …

  15. Sorry, Jam.

That is how we lost Dorkus.

  16. Ugh, that’s terrible, jamster.

  17. re: top pic. Isn’t chasing tail how we got this Supreme Court mess?

  18. Polling is out.

Hi it’s Dr Christine Ford. Can I speak to Senator Finestein?

Finestein no home. Wrong number. You go away now. Wrong number.

  19. That liberal scholarly article thing is hilarious. This one is my favorite:

Title: Moon Meetings and the Meaning of Sisterhood: A Poetic Portrayal of Lived Feminist Spirituality

    By

Carol Miller, Ph.D., PUR Initiative (fictional)

    Journal: Journal of Poetry Therapy

Status: Accepted (without any requested revisions or comments)

Thesis: No clear thesis. A rambling poetic monologue of a bitter, divorced feminist, much of which was produced by a teenage angst poetry generator before being edited into something slightly more “realistic” which is then interspersed with self-indulgent autoethnographical reflections on female sexuality and spirituality written entirely in slightly under six hours.

Purpose: To see if journals will accept rambling nonsense if it is sufficiently pro-woman, implicitly anti-male, and thoroughly anti-reason for the purpose of foregrounding alternative, female ways of knowing. (NB: It was written entirely by James, who is male.)

  20. Well, Car in, at least Moose came up to check on you. That’s good, right?

  21. What do I do with Erin today? Do I let her mope around for another day? I want to light a fire under her ass to pick herself up and move on. But it may be too early? I suck at this.

  22. Wow, Mogadishu was 25 years ago. I can still hear the whining, and the clutching of pearls about the movie. Poor Ridley Scott, wrote an anti-war movie and it turned out way different.

  23. She needs to get going. In my case, it would have been yesterday.

  24. Limited retail therapy and a chocolate bar of her choosing.

  25. 37 burpees and 5 miles for time.

  26. Today’s the 4th.

  27. The Somalis would drag the dead of Super 64’s crew as well as Gordon and Shughart thru the streets of Mogadishu for the next several days. Eventually, their bodies were recovered.

And they wonder why we consider them savages.

  28. Personally, a day listening to Tool would be my advice. But perhaps that wouldn’t work for everyone?

  29. animals.

  30. What do I do with Erin today? Do I let her mope around for another day? I want to light a fire under her ass to pick herself up and move on. But it may be too early? I suck at this.

She needs distractions. Don’t let her mope. Put her to work, take her shopping… something to get her mind off of Heydipshit.

  31. Sorry, Jam.

  32. Yeah Carin, she needs to be tasked. Enough mopery.

  33. Jam, sorry to hear about Jamette’s pupper.

  34. The Atlantic: He’s Going to Get Reelected, Isn’t He?

Yes, the Atlantic. I was hoping they would stay asleep for longer. Makes it easier that way.

  35. Sorry, Jam, that sucks.

  36. Of course he is, Atlantic, we’re not tired of winning yet. Be glad that “winning” currently looks like a tight job market, healthy markets, and rising wages. You’ll be rich enough to bitch about how bad things are while you sip $8 lattes.

There is joy in watching them realize with horror that the train in barreling down on them and there’s nothing that they can do to stop it.

  38. Shopping at Sam’s on the way to work. Who needs what?
It’s gonna sit in my truck for 4 or 5 hours so nothing that needs refrigeration.

  39. Big hug Jam. Sorry to hear about your pupface.

  40. All I know is that in the past when a relationship has gone bad all I had to do was get back out there and start raping and I would feel better.

@ Jam. My sincere sympathies to you and yours.

  41. Chinese use of the tech sector to infiltrate and steal U.S. secrets has been known for years. One of the reasons for wanting a strong U.S. manufacturing sector, including a computer industry, is to avoid precisely these problems. But the Free Trade Uber Alles crowd and the USCoC want their cheap imports, and want access to the Chinese market, no matter the cost to the United States.

  42. I wrote about that in a paper in ’04, suggested that supporting US chip and board makers was the only safe thing for the USGOV, even if it meant paying more. Knew it was coming, not surprised.

But no, let’s keep subsidizing corn. Fucking disgraceful.

My other prediction was weaponized smallpox in a 2-part strategy. If you see a small outbreak (“terrorists!”) in some shithole country followed by nationwide vaccination, the next shoe to drop will be a major attack on their neighbor. Shithole #1 will then send thousands of “humanitarian aid workers” across the border to shithole #2, ensuring that the smallpox runs its course.

I fully expected that to be NK/SK at the time, nowadays it could be anywhere.

  43. Also, universities want Chinese students who are flush with cash, no matter if those students lie about their qualifications or go on to steal U.S. secrets.

  44. Amazon’s security team conducted its own investigation into AWS’s Beijing facilities and found altered motherboards there as well, including more sophisticated designs than they’d previously encountered. In one case, the malicious chips were thin enough that they’d been embedded between the layers of fiberglass onto which the other components were attached

the other chips they found mimicked the appearance of other normal board components.

  45. Chinese use of the tech sector to infiltrate and steal U.S. secrets has been known for years.

    H. 1. B.

    Dianne Fucking Feinstein.

  46. Shut the boarder for 60 years. No imports of any manufactured goods. Hammers will be $30 but you’ll never need to replace them. Lettuce will cost $10 but you’ll be able to afford it.

  47. The problem often is that even if you say, “build this in the US”, companies are quick to figure out whatever they can outsource overseas. So you end up discovering after the fact that, oops, the chips used in your weapon system were built in the US, but some of the other components weren’t, because of a loophole in the contract.

Fifty years ago, I wouldn’t have worried about that, because the contractors were all run by people loyal to this country. Nowadays, the major corporations are run by globalists who see themselves as part of a global elite, and who have more in common with their counterparts in London than with the farmer living three hours away in rural NY whose son is in the Marines.

  48. Nowadays, the major corporations are run by globalists who see themselves as part of a global elite, and who have more in common with their counterparts in London than with the farmer living three hours away in rural NY whose son is in the Marines.

Exactly. The contracts under FAR would have to be written so that you can’t source so much as a nail that wasn’t made in the US.

    It’s worth it.

  49. Trump should pitch that to the unions.

God help me, I’ll take the help at this point, and they’d win bigly.

  50. Reliance on foreign countries for any critical thing is the very apex of stupidity. Resources of various types are bad enough, but that’s often unavoidable. No excuse for outsourcing manufacturing to this extent.

    Bad faith is everywhere.

  51. Just read the fine print about Amazon’s “$15/hr” minimum wage.

Heh. Bezos is the richest man on the planet (iirc) and is still fucking over his workers on the smallest of margins. JP Morgan was a better boss.

  52. Leon, I saw that.

This is how you end up with unionized shops.

  53. I wouldn’t rush her. Grief comes in stages. If she skips a stage she’ll just have to go over it eventually. Everybody does it differently.

  54. Jam2, very sorry to hear about your doggie. Hugs and hugs to you and yours.

    Damn it.

    hhahahhhahaha….Good one, Douche!

  56. Well, Erin just got picked up by a friend for lunch, and she’s in the “dress to kill” mood.

That’s probably a good sign. She has a lot of friends, and I’m sure they’ve spent the last 24 hours pumping her up.

  57. Looks like they didn’t mention the part about “consent can be rescinded retroactively at any time and you’re fucked”.

They are so not going to like where this inevitably leads.

  58. This guy is my spirit animal:

Basically all human interaction is now suspect.

Put your hand on your girlfriend’s back without her consent? Assault.
Wrap her up from behind while she’s making breakfast the next morning? Assault.
Kiss her cheek without explicit permission? Assault.

  61. Interact with someone? Retroactively get destroyed for random things.

Refuse to interact with someone? Get destroyed as “phobic” and “hater”.

Putting that large a portion of the population in a vise like that is Poor Decision Making.

  62. car in, Rob seems nice.

  63. Not only that, CoAlex and Cav, but it’s on record FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

  64. car in, Rob seems nice.

He hasn’t commented in a long time. Surprised to see him pop up.

  65. I love that 3rd wave feminism is going to obliterate fornication by mistake.

I also suspect a lot of videos of sluts ‘consenting’ will end up online for the cads that still brave those waters.

    *considers registering sheconsented.com*

  66. Heh, leon, let’s design an app. If you want to have sex, click here!

  67. I’m sure all her guy friends will come around to show her their support.

Yea, one already showed up last night. Heydick told erin’s one friend to “make sure she was there for her … to take her places … and to let him know how she is doing …”

    @@

    Look, dickhead …

  68. Heh, leon, let’s design an app. If you want to have sex, click here!

Scan thumbprint, record 15s of video, upload to server.

We could add a breathalyser plugin.

  69. What should we charge? $1 a use?

  70. psst, Car in, Lastpass, or something like it.

  71. Leg day.

When does Erin go through her phase of ‘liking’ girls?

That would make an interesting season finale.

Nah, Erin will get preggers and marry some young man.

Hannah will be the one to get a nose ring and a girlfriend.

  76. What do I do with Erin today? Do I let her mope around for another day? I want to light a fire under her ass to pick herself up and move on. But it may be too early? I suck at this.

You could lend her one of your old vibrators that you don’t use anymore.

  77. At least Carin will have a buyer for the used Lesbaru.

  78. Afternoon update :

They always come back. This one a little quicker than she thought …

And no, she hasn’t forgiven him. Yet.

  79. Hannah already has a nose ring and I believe has already been through the ” I could be a lesbian” phase. Last summer. Lasted a few week – before her current boyfriend actually made it official. Pretty sure she was just trying to be provocative.

  80. Most libs are like that. All hat, no cattle.

  81. Came with a headache, too!

  82. Per Ace’s comments, this was posted in DU comments:

How many more gut punches are we supposed to take?

I ran out of tears months ago and now just numb. It looks like a
rapist is going to be put on the supreme court. We are going back to
back ally abortions and men preying on women without fear. Minorities
    being abused.

    2018 just became 1840.

I dont know what to do anymore

This country was founded on hatred by white men towards all and we will never change.

  85. I always loved reading the comment sections at HP or DU. The people are totally insane.

They live in a reality that just isn’t so. It’s not a difference of opinion or perspective, it’s a totally different timeline.

  86. 1840 = pre-Marx? I’ll take it!

  87. Mare, I read all of the Little House on the Prairie books to my daughters. I think there are thirteen of them. They loved it. And their favorite TV show was, wait for it….

  91. WTF?

I know nuns, no way I’d dress like one.

  92. WTF?

I know nuns, no way I’d dress like one.

Cross-dressing is a bad idea. You don’t want to get into the habit.

  93. To all the fathers of all the silent victims: Your children are quietly carrying these stories, not because they can’t handle their emotions but because they’re worried that you can’t. They are worried that your emotions will have too many consequences. Or they fear you won’t think of them the same way. Or that you’ll be distraught because you didn’t protect them.

This is utter bullshit. It’s passing the blame on to someone else who doesn’t deserve it.

“Oh boo hoo, we can’t tell our dads anything because men are such weaklings that they supposedly can’t handle mention of tampons!”

    You know what?

    Fuck them.

If you don’t tell anyone, then no one can do anything about it, and you let your abuser walk free.

    I’m done giving a damn.

  94. Jay, there is so much cow flop in that article, I could only get a short way into it.

It’s shit like that that convinces people that a race culture exists. And I’m going to go out on a limb here and posit that there are plenty of women who want to seek victim status that have never been assaulted, let alone rape raped.

  95. Did you watch the Crowder rape culture video yesterday? HS, your comment is the first girl in the video, to a T.

  96. I am utterly appalled at how many times I’ve been called a sexist and rape supporter in the last couple of weeks.

  97. Sluts and skanks are working really hard to keep their abortions legal. Although overturning Roe vs Wade does not make abortion illegal. Not the brightest bunch of assholes.

Here kid, sit in front of this net and don’t move for the next 20 minutes.

  100. Lindsey Graham is Theoden to McCain’s Sarumon. Discuss.

  101. Yes, Jay, I watched it, and she is exactly who I was thinking of. But I’ve heard loads of other women with unbelievable accounts.

It’s like,”You have to believe men are evil. I’ve been raped!!!!!”

When the real truth is no guys have ever wanted to lay a hand on you, let alone rape you.

It would be like someone wanting to have sex with Leslie Jones. Nuh uh.

  102. Lindsey Graham is running for another term. We’ll take what we can get, but eventually he’ll go back to the boof sniffer he is.

  103. We live in an age of miracles and wonders, Hotspur. I want to believe.

  104. I do love how the left accused him of being closeted, without realizing the irony of their gay bashing.

  105. We never cared if he was gay, we cared that he was pushing amnesty for illegals.

I don’t care if he has lemon parties with MCPO if he’ll just get his mind right on the border.

  106. Sort of like claiming to be the champions of women’s rights as they savaged Sarah Palin, Marcia Blackburn, Nikki Haley, Condoleeza Rice, and every other female Repub.

  112. Hey guys, we’re going to be in DC this weekend. The eldest phatspawn is an intern for our local congressman this semester.

    Anyone got Gabe’s contact info?

I had lunch with him a few years ago, but would be nice to see him again.

  113. Keep fucking that punkin.

  117. Hey Phat, I don’t have Gabe’s info, but congrats to you and Phatspawn.

  118. I don’t know what to make of Gabe.

    He has changed.

  119. How so, scott?

  120. He isn’t as conservative as he used to be.

  121. I never thought he was that far right. Sensible, though.

  122. Kinda like mare, real middle of the road, squishy. You know…

  123. Why do gay men have that certain sound on their voice?

Is it an affectation or what?

  124. I’ll bet Leon knows.

  125. Haha, pupster channelling MJ

  126. I had lunch with Gabe a few years ago. We didn’t talk much politics.
We just kind of talked about our jobs.

  127. It’s affectation. Helps signal others that they like to sip the penis. Gaydar is real, but it’s informed by deliberate signals.

    Ex-gays often lose it.

  128. This morning as I leave the apartment: Oh look at this note…they’re checking fire extinguishers…my block is tomorrow and they started yesterday! Great timing.

This evening when I get home: WTF THEY NEVER GAVE ME A FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Seriously, sometimes I hate apartment management outfits.

    Make that frequently.

  129. I am friends with gays that are closeted or private about their lives, none of them have the affectation. One of my friends has helped other friends “Come out” and introduce them to the Pride Culture. 2 of them developed the affectation after outing themselves. Since 45 was elected, quite a few of my gay friends are dropping their straight friends on social media. It is getting ugly out there.

  130. I really don’t see how we last much longer as a country

  131. Mare: “Why do gay men have that certain sound on their voice? Is it an affectation or what?”

Answer: Accumulated dried up semen is apparently an irritant.

  132. Oh, we can survive as a country. Just not with everybody currently in it.

Going to have to be some hard choices and gut checks.

And a whole shit-ton of prayers.

  133. Accumulated dried up semen is a def thread killah.

  134. Don’t eat rancid pineapples
