So far I’ve managed to miss the Olympic coverage. Sure, I hear news reports of who won and in what event they participated. Much like a certain columnist at the Western Free Press, I can’t deal with all the back story BS. I know some people (women) like that but I’d prefer if they just showed the sport with a minimum of window dressing. I don’t know if there’s such a thing as “Olympic watching parties” akin to Super Bowl parties, but if there are, I can picture the crowd in my head and it’s not pleasant.
This is the Olympics where cupping hit the mainstream
We learned about it in school as part of the nascent cultural sensitivity trend in the late 80’s. Mainly to be aware that the distinctive pattern was a health practice for certain immigrant groups and not a sign of abuse. They probably include it in the curriculum by now.
I’ve seen these at the nature store but never in action. Candling for ear wax.
I like to keep an open mind. Anyone here shove a wax funnel in their ear canal and light it on fire? What were the results? Did it get the wax out? If so, what did you do with the wax? I prefer Q-tips for my ear hygiene.
I’ve had acupuncture before and it was pretty relaxing. I’d do it again.
Time to confirm plans for the weekend. No call responsibilities so it’ll be hanging at camp deciding which book to read, which piece of meat to cook and whether the water will be warm enough to get in the lake. How about you guys? Weekend plans anyone?
(The first one who replies “Your mom” gets a kick in the poon or jimmy. I don’t discriminate)
