Good morning, and welcome to The Martian edition of Hunky Hump Day. I enjoyed this movie because it stuck to the book, but I think if you like space, you’d like the movie even if you haven’t read Andy Weir. NASA must have helped a fair amount, because there was a lot of Hermes that looked just like ISS – radiators, solar arrays, docking targets, etc. In fact, I would not be surprised if NASA let them use the mockup of the Multi-purpose Logistics Module for filming. I saw the regular version, not the 3D, as 3D movies tend to give me a headache.
The captain of the ship packed a large supply of disco music.
Well, that’s better than bringing “Leather Goddesses of Phobos”.
Where was I? Oh yeah.
Spoiler: Sean Bean doesn’t die.
Why this was in the search results for The Martian, I have no idea, but who am I to argue?
Last but not least, the star. You may not like Matt, but he does just as well in this as Tom Hanks did in Castaway.
That will do, I think. Thank you for your attention, and y’all have a good day.
