HHD

Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Hunky Hump Day. Will there be an October surprise? You’ll just have to scroll down and see.

First, a little music after the frickin’ Vevo ad (thpfhth). I love the guitar in this.

First up, a request from Mare for Henry Cavill.

Not only a redhead, but a *running* redhead for Carin.

Someone with good taste linked this one in the past week, and I said to myself, “Self, that’s a keeper for HHD.”

Does anyone here like teh ink?

I think TiFW pushed him down.

Last but not least, Eddie Cibrian, Mr. Leann Rimes.

Thank you for your attention, and y’all have a good day.

Something “they” are putting into restaurant food is inherently fattening. I ate out for one meal yesterday and gained almost two pounds.

    I’ll never be pretty!

    *sobs*

Leon, extra salt, so most of that’s probably water retention.

  3. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 8:31 am

    OMG I’m retaining water!

I don’t eat any of the food there- it looks good. But I just eat salads, and bring stuff.

    I’d chase the running redhead.

I could eat Tushar’s wife’s coconut balls every day with coffee for breakfast, and probably will until they are all gone.

    So buttery. So coconutty.

    I stole them all.

HAHA! Local news story that some kind of election material has gone out with the wrong date but only for the Spanish version. Oh, and this same local ABC affiliate has made mention of the Benghazi emails and that the WH appears to have known. Excellent. *munches on another ball*

Chicks are ENTIRELY too much trouble. And they don’t know how to keep their mouths shut the next morning.

I’m only speaking theoretically and hypothetically, of course.

  66. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 12:54 pm

Most of the women I know aren’t actually that many drinks away, they just want to have that many beforehand so they can give themselves permission.

  67. Comment by Sean M. on October 24, 2012 12:57 pm

Hey, alice, nice to see you here. Did you happen to be among the crowd for this?

    Awesome video, by the way.

  68. Comment by aliceaitch on October 24, 2012 12:58 pm

^^this. I think very few people do things when they’re drunk that they wouldn’t do when they’re sober. Sure, they might *say* a few things they wouldn’t, but as far as actually getting their bodies to do something, the alcohol just gives them license.

I’m heading up to the mountains, you slackers. After my weekend getaway, I need a vacation. Especially since Teh Hubby is all tantrumy since Monday morning and is barely speaking to me.

  69. Comment by aliceaitch on October 24, 2012 1:00 pm

Sean, I wasn’t able to get away. I’ve been dealing with kiddo medical stuff non-stop since I’ve been here.

Red Rocks isn’t that remote, btw. It’s an awesome place to see, well, anything or anyone in concert.

  70. Comment by aliceaitch on October 24, 2012 1:01 pm

Oooh, we should try to plan the Colorado Meatup around something at Red Rocks…although most of the bands that play there may be a bit hippy-dippy/too young for the crowd, it’s still an uh-MAZING venue.

  71. Comment by mare on October 24, 2012 1:02 pm

Ah, I’ve been pretty drunk and never once, ever, thought it would be fun/interesting/exciting to kiss/fondle a woman. EVER.

Now, alcohol giving me license to make out with this when I’m drunk is a different story (if I was single):

  72. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 1:03 pm

Red Rock was in a video I may have linked here awhile back:

Leon, have you ever thought, maybe, the women (other than your wife of course) that you know are kind of low on the chain?

  74. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 1:23 pm

Leon, have you ever thought, maybe, the women (other than your wife of course) that you know are kind of low on the chain?

No. They are just closer to my age than yours. It’s a terrifyingly common sentiment in my demographic.

  75. Comment by Teresa in Fort Worth, TX on October 24, 2012 1:36 pm

It’s a terrifyingly common sentiment in my demographic.

Only because they’ve been led to believe that lesbianism is much more common than it actually is (<1%).

Most girls with good self-esteem don't want to share their man.

And while it may seem momentarily appealing to guys to think about getting it on with 2 women, they aren't thinking about the after-effects of that choice:

    1) TWO women harassing you about not calling them and/or both of them showing up at your place at the same time, then yelling at you because each of them is sure that you like the other one better;

    2) Being dumped for another WOMAN…..

  76. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 1:39 pm

Most girls with good self-esteem don’t want to share their man.

I never once said anything about sharing. I said a lot of women my age have either (1) said they would or (2) actually done something with another woman.

Men my age typically don’t do much to discourage the behavior because they are shallow thinkers, and often buy drinks for the girls in hopes of playing voyeur. I know women in college that would make out with each other just for the free drinks.

  77. Comment by mare on October 24, 2012 1:41 pm

“They are just closer to my age than yours.”

    That’s probably true.

American liberal culture has done a good job of breaking down morals.

  78. Comment by mare on October 24, 2012 1:44 pm

I often think that looking for a date/mate at this time would be horrifying.

My girls have had a hard time finding a decent guy, although I’m not sure how hard they are looking. Lots of really femmy (not gay) guys. Either that or they are very sexually aggressive and expect the same.

  79. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 1:46 pm

I don’t disagree with you, Mare. It’s another one of those “who does it hurt?” pieces of culture that’s been mainstreamed. Most of these women would never be full-blown lesbians, but they aren’t averse to trying it out, playing a bit. And largely, they aren’t averse because there’s simply no social sanction for it, and a fair bit of social reward in the right atmosphere.

  80. Comment by leoncaruthers on October 24, 2012 1:48 pm

Mare, the would-be-good guys are all-too-often drawn into pursuits that don’t put them in contact with 3D women, at least these days. If I were a young woman looking for a worthwhile husband, I’d take up a male hobby that involved math. He might be a nerd, but he’ll be devoted and loyal and won’t ruin your credit.

  81. Comment by mare on October 24, 2012 1:48 pm

“…no social sanction for it, and a fair bit of social reward in the right atmosphere.”

    Exactly.

Much like getting pregnant without marriage. Celebrities have made that chic. I was just at Daily Mail and they seem to have lots of articles about that “Teen Mom” show. The girls get paid for the show and they glamorize it.

  82. Comment by mare on October 24, 2012 1:52 pm

Yeah, the other factor (and it really does matter), they (my girls) want someone just like their Dad. I don’t blame them, we want them to find someone like him too, but that’s a hard shopping list to duplicate (for two girls).

He was an engineer so you’re right, math guy is devoted and never ruined my credit.

This is one of the things I fear on my dark days. As much as the Caliphate-supporters get wrong on a cultural level, they are breeding in a way we simply don’t in the West, at least not anymore. The folks that made Demographic Winter have the sense to not point that out, but all of the cultural examples they give with collapsing birth rates are either nominally Christian (Europe) or simply secular (Japan, China).

    New York Times—-Jan 21st, 2013

President Romney wasted no time in stepping into a foreign policy blunder, immediately proving that he is not fit to lead. Amb Christopher Stevens was killed in a terrorist attack with three other Americans while he was campaigning for office, thus begging the question what did he know, and when did he know it.

Recent reports indicate that President Romney may not have pulled the trigger himself…

My favorite Marion Barry quote, when he was running for “shadow senator for DC against Barry, and he was asked about “how do you feel about running against Jesse Jackson who wants to run DC?” and he said “Jesse Jackson don’t want to run nothin but his mouth.”

Second fav quote was “bitch set me up”

One of my exes used to call it gash. He didn’t understand why that didn’t get him laid.

Ribeye for dinner here. Settled in in the ski condo, which took entirely too long. I bought a bottle of Oban 14 year to enjoy just in case I don’t have to be on migraine duty – anyone had it before? They only had that, The Macallan, and Glenfiddich at the general store, and I’ve got the latter two at home already. (No, I won’t be finishing this bottle of scotch, it will go home mostly full.)

Of course, cracking open that bottle probably guarantees The Boy will get a migraine.

  305. Comment by Vmaximus on October 24, 2012 11:32 pm

My dentist said the same Sohos. I fought like a lion but in the end the cavity’s won.

I did not need surgery it was a simple extraction. I did not miss them nor was I in pain. It was one every few months and done. No muss no fuss.

Except where I fought him and the cavity was large and the tooth broke on extraction. Fortunately he was able to pull it out despite the rot no Oral Surgeon no $$$ needed.

Is it hot in here or is it just me?

I do believe that young man is happy to see us.

So, Colin, how do you explain Libya? Did we not bomb them? Did we not get into a “multinational coalition”, according to your buddy Obamah!? Unilaterally involved in a coalition, in that only the executive branch executed the war.

I would think that would bother a career soldier just a little more, if he was being intellectually honest. But, I have just located the error in my reasoning, haven’t I?

Also, everyone agrees that we should withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq. The point of difference is that we don’t think we should advertise when we are doing it.

I recommend this movie, as motivation to get up a week from next Tuesday.

    Wednesday for Democrats.

Is someone going to put up a post? I have zero ideas and I’ve pretty much played out the lemon bear dick punch thing.

And to repeat from last night: There is nothing funny about Trans Vaginal Mesh. Do not google it.

Yeah, I’m kind of sick of the pukes that describe themselves as “republicans” or “conservatives” but are not in any way.

    David Brooks
    Colin Powell

Do you now see why I don’t do posts?
