We were having an executive council meeting for the school (our priest was there) a secretary came into the room, gave us the news and the meeting was adjourned. We went to the school to help organize, decision make and what not. We couldn’t find the priest anywhere. We needed him (with the principal) to make the decision about letting school out and we thought it would be good for him to be there in the halls to act calm and show a strong, confident (“everything is going to be okay,”) front to the children.
Didn’t find him until after school was let out. I think (and I’m not kidding) he was contacting his gay lover who lived near his mother’s home where the priest lived. DICK.
We eventually got his ass thrown out, showed he was stealing money from the church and threatened to expose his gayness (active) if he didn’t leave. The stupid diocese wouldn’t do anything UNTIL we threatened that. Incompetent…no. Stealing….no. Driving good teachers away…no. Another sex scandal….well, I guess we have to.
I know. I’m considering setting up a timed light so they at least get 12 hour days. Have to hunt around for one.

The hubby woke me to tell me about the first tower; I was awake to see the second. We all stayed home that day fearing more; the hubby worked next to the airport then. I planted the babies in front of the Disney channel in a playpen. They never said a word or ran a ticker on that channel, and I was very grateful.

I was awake and listening to 9/11 from the moment the first plane struck. For some reason – I found that odd, and I called mr car in to tell him. I don’t know why I did that – perhaps because one of my friends lived in NYC? When I called, so far it was being reported that a small plane had hit it.
I got in my car and took my 4 (at the time) kids apple picking. Was at the U.S. Canadian border when the second plane hit. Driving down the roads as they started to come down. It was all so surreal ,and I was so numb, I didn’t know what to do but to continue on driving.
It was a mess later, because I had to cross the boarder to get back to the dogs. Hours it took.
But my kids were really little – my oldest was only 6. Ethan wasn’t yet born.
I remember worrying and worrying that something horrible was going to happen and I’d never get to see my baby.
My friend on facedouche still hasn’t gotten back to me on what Obama’s going to do to fix the economy.
I prefer to work out of the homes of strangers.
I left work as soon as I saw the story on FreeRepublic to listen to my car radio and buy gas. The gas thing is the one and only time I recall predicting mass human behavior well.

That’s not new, that criticism has been thrown at Bush for almost eleven years. And yeah, they sound insane, because it’s a random complaint driven by hatred of Bush. The formula is something like this:
1. I fucking hate that redneck idiotic asshole Texan George Bush
2. Therefore I fucking hate everything he does, including how he kept calmly reading a book to children when he was told about the developing situation. I also hate his smirk, the sound of his voice, and the way he scratches his balls. (in fact I really hate that ball scratching thing)
It’s silly, but it’s also a waste of time to pay any attention to it. People who are that emotionally invested in criticism aren’t level-headed about it, nor are they objective. Fox this morning reported on one poll that had Obama up by 4-5 points.
The sample group was something like 440 (d) 400 (r) and 15 (i).
If you adjust the sample to reflect reality it’s Romney up by 8 53-45.

But I still am interested in studying the electorate through all dimensions. A scientific and statistical approach is always good for research.
Hm…good question. It has been my experience in the FRG that enlisted grades favor liberalism while officer grades favor conservatism. As to the question, more Hispanics in the military lean conservative than non-military. In my experience, Blacks don’t lean conservative much regardless of rank. Keep in mind this is from a military wife’s perspective, and from the point of view of a virtual outsider, since I am not active duty
Most of the ANG guys/gals I know lean right, regardless of grade, but they are almost all white folks like me.

You’re using anecdotes Tushar. There are plenty of demographic breakdowns on elections going back decades that show the pocketbook trend, that expression didn’t invent itself.

Those who got lucky breaks and were handed things simply because they had the right credentials tend to be liberals. The comes the vast sea of republican dominated middle class. There is another explanation. People who innately trust authority figures and institutions vote democrats. They trust that the Govt is doing the right thing and the media is giving them the straight facts. The F-5′s in the photo have to be Turkish. They are the only ones still flying them in NATO. Kinda proves that the pic is of the Russian Black Sea fleet.
The F-5 is basically the T-38 with weapon mounts. The T-38 is still the funnest (?) airplane I’ve flown.

Just finished reading “No Easy Day”, it was a fast read. Nothing too revealing in it. Really hard to see why their (Obamedia) panties were in a knot about it. There were more “leaks” to the media than in the book. Anyone who has paid attention for the last say, 11 years, knows all about this. That, combined with reading a few Tom Clancy novels, would bring you right up to speed.
