  3. I think Leon’s Monday poats need a catchier, more appropriate title. What’s the group think of this suggestion: “Chicks With Dicks.”

  4. Hah. Michelle was “keeping it real” by hosting Malia’s 11th b-day at “Red Robin.” Because nothing says “middle class values” like taking a horde of folks to a restarant. Please, pay no attention to the fact that a little over a week ago, she flew the kids to Atlantic city to see a Beyonce concert.

Nope. They’re just regular folks. Partying at Red Robin.

  5. Well this certainly looks interesting. To heck with no income tax, imagine no property taxes:

If MegaMc ever gains any traction whatsoever in national politics, I’ll know. It’ll be time for that 57 state spree cause the consequences would be no worse than life itsownself.

  30. Okay, Mare, you’re sprung. You can’t say chickens on this blog. It’s in the rules.

  31. You’ve been popping in there now and again the last few days, Mare. Must be all the Spam-brand virtual-meat product you’re eating in Hawaii.

  32. The incompetence demonstrated be EVERYONE in this CF of a government makes me so angry I could kick Obamas vagina.

  33. Has to be. I think I’m in there again but my comments are too stupid to ask someone to check.

  34. Mare, I’m pretty sure the DOJ was parsing your “chicken” comment for subversive content!

  35. Aren’t Laura and Sean fans of TheOatmeal?

I can’t speak for laura, but I am.

Where the hell do people find these lawyers?

  60. I have never actually watched and episode of that show, Cyn. One of those things I’ve always heard good things about but just never got around to.

  61. It’s really kinda fun to see how things were for our parents or grandparents. I’ve always loved the fashion of the late 50′s and it’s fun to see the old stuff as new again.

  62. The finale was kinda meh, except for Peter Campbell gettin his snotty little ass kicked again.

  63. Also, Joanie really needs to lay off the cheeseburgers.

  64. S’right. I went there.

  65. I can only hope Teacher of the Year is a lot like Soldier of the Year, where people who are good at their jobs are busy doin’ them, and deadweight get sent to the board just to get them out of the way.

  66. Yeah, she’s pushing the envelope from “voluptuous” to “zaftig” and heading toward “Rosetta”

  67. Pete turned out to be a more interesting character than I was expecting. And I thought for sure that they should have saved Lane’s departure for the last episode. Maybe that’s why the real finale was just… yeah: meh. I wanted more, dammit.

  107. Been worried about my garden, the weather seems so chilly here still.

So I checked the historical weather data and whoa- we are pretty much at the normal temps.

Daytimes in the mid 70′s/ 80′s, with cool evenings…this is normal, right here for early June. Stupid hot Spring weather this year fooled me into thinking we are further along in Summer than we really are.

I need to start keeping a garden journal.

  108. I was outside in shorts and a t-shirt earlier and though, “this is bullshit, I’m cold”. It’s June, people. June!

Could you keep it online so we can all read it?

  111. Andy,
Here, the weather guys are calling it “Juneuary”.
The last couple months were warmer and drier. We’d beat our average June monthly rainfall by the 6th.

  112. Chickens survived their first day all together.

  113. Well, if they all survived, what will you have for dinner?

  114. I have nothing to say to you people.

  115. It’s been so hot here in Michigan, I sweat through shirts in a matter of minutes.

Of course that’s largely a function of humidity in conjunction with heat, but it’s been 80+ for a couple of weeks.

  116. It takes 45 minutes at 400F to cook my pork chops, but only a quarter second to burn the fuck out of my finger.

  117. WTFITS?

  118. It’s Dead, Jim!

It seems everyone has the touch, tonight.

  120. HAHa,

  121. Dead here.
    NYTOL.
    Hope all are well.
