    I made the mistake of drinking wine last night. BAM! Knocked out at 9:00. Up at 4:00 this morning.

    I don’t know what is in wine but that stuff puts me right to sleep.

    I’m kind of the same way, Jew. I’m debating on whether or not to drink wine with everyone on Saturday. Last time I did that I went to bed at 10:30, but the party continued without me.

    It’s weird. When drinking wine, I’m unconscious before I’m drunk. And it sucks because I like wine.

    I recommend drinking something else.

    Do people vote their preference in primaries, regardless of who is capable of actually winning? I generally vote for the candidate that most epitomizes the I-don’t-give-a-fuck platform.

    I voted for Mitt because it was obvious by the time MI’s primary came up, and wanted the nomination to end quickly.

    Also, Jimmy Fallon is off my Christmas Card list, and on my “people I would not deprive of the joy of being engulfed in flame” list.

    Where’s Roamy? Saddest thing I heard yesterday: Wife and I were watching the local news, which featured a group of kids that were going to a national science competition. We both kind of laughed because they were stereotypes of the science club.

    MJ: You may laugh, but these kids will be working at NASA someday.

    Mrs MJ: NASA won’t’ be around when they get out of college.

    MJ: You think?

    Mrs MJ: Obama will kill it if he gets reelected.

    On second thought MJ you are correct. In PA at least 20ish% of the vote thought that Mittens was so bad that they would rather vote for the guy that dropped out.

    My bad for not seeing that side of the coin.

    And space isn’t going away. NASA has been a bit of a boondoggle in many respects, and it’s time for privateers to take over on a lot of it. Read Rand Simberg’s blogs about the Shuttle and the Senate Launch System some time.

    I pay water/sewer/trash for my tenants. It’s easier because the bill comes to me, and can’t be transferred from the owner. I just bake it into the rent and tell them it’s included.

    Anything that can be put in the tenants name is their responsibility.

    My landlord in Ann Arbor had to pay for heat, iirc, by city ordinance.

    You’re a fool or a lawyer if you own rental property in Ann Arbor.

    Every rental I’ve had has included water, sewer, and garbage. But they’re usually city utilities with a fixed rate. Electricity, gas, telephone are variable.

    I’ve seen places that offer cable and interweb tubes as an incentive, but again, that’s a fixed rate and baked in to the rent. The property is still making money.

    I’m starting to think it’s too late to socialize my chickens. They don’t mind being near me at all, but any reaching for them results in scattering. The only time I’ve been able to pick them up was when I found them sleeping outside after dark and I had to remind them there was an inside to go to.
