We Lost a Hero

When I first saw that Breitbart had passed away this morning, my initial reaction was, “What is this mad genius up to this time?”  So strong was his desire to taunt and ridicule the moronic left and expose them for the hateful, hurtful pieces of shit they are, my first thought was that he was pulling a prank.

Once the news hit every blog I visit, a cloud of sadness descended.  This was no prank.  We just lost the tip of the conservative spear.

I cannot imagine the sadness of losing this man as your son, your brother, your son-in-law, your husband and most especially as your father.  Most kids grow up imagining that their daddy is a superhero.  His kids will grow up to realize that their dad actually was.  As a conservative, his loss is severe.

The liberals in this country have a great number of weak leaders: the hysterical, botox-injected, Marxist, spineless politicians who want us to pay for everyone’s birth control pills and abortions and cheese and Volts; life’s losers that host tea-bagging, leg-tingling, leftist bukkake-fests on MSNBC and CNN; stinking pieces of shit that would rather occupy a business than work in it.  The left has an army of idiots promoting a turd.

The conservatives in this country are still emerging from the pupa stage of outrage.  For too long we assumed that no one needed to defend and fight for common sense and the right to be left the fuck alone because really, who is against common sense and the right to be left the fuck alone?

Liberals, that’s who and Breitbart was one of our best fighters against that cancer.  Liberals are against common sense and the right to be left alone.  And happiness.  And fun.  And everything that’s good in life.  And fucking SALT for God’s sake.  In my lifetime there have been far too few conservatives willing to shove a fist of freedom, a cup of STFU and a copy of the Constitution up the ass of liberal nanny-staters and we just lost one.

I just want to acknowledge that Ace is also in this camp.  I became conservative after college like people that have to get a real job and pay taxes.  But it was something I didn’t talk about because it was so uncool.  Conservatives that I knew at that time didn’t say “fuck”, make fun of stupid hippies and they weren’t hilarious.  When I stumbled onto Ace of Spades in 2007, he was all of those things and it was an awakening.

I love Andrew Breitbart and although his time on earth was far too short, I thank God for the time he had.  He has had more of an impact on me as a conservative that anyone with the lone exception of Rush.  He will be sorely missed.

But he has left us with a rare gift.  A example of how to be fearless in the face of fascists.  How to laugh at those that deem to tell us how we should live and how we should think.  How to happily mock the people that hate our right to free speech when it doesn’t conform to their politically correct ideals.  Many of the tributes that I read today called Breitbart a patriot and I think that is the best way to describe him.  He loved this country and was willing to get in the face of self-righteous liberals that hate it.  The Founding Fathers would have been very proud.

Andrew Breitbart left the conservative movement and this country in better shape than he found it.  That he is no longer here to continue his fight means that we all need to pick up the slack and stiffen our spines.  The man was fearless in the face of the liberals who tried to shout him down and he was equally as passionate when he told them to go fuck themselves.

RIP Andrew Bretibart.  You will be missed but never forgotten.

You know how sometimes you see a person compete in an Iron Man or climb a mountain and you think to yourself, “That guy makes me feel like a big fat piece of loser”?

Breitbart made me feel that way about being a conservative.  I would watch him and think, “I want to be like THAT!”
