I have no idea what made me think of this cartoon.
I blame SeanM.
*offers part of blankie as peas offering to Sean*
GRAPE APE IS TRYING TO EAT MY SOUL!! AND AL MY NANNERS! AAAAAAHHHHH!!!
(Seriously, I could use a cool glass of orange juice right about now.)
Anyone want a pair of middle-aged, neutered cats? They’re like an alarm clock that works even when the power goes out, and when you don’t want it to work, or when you just want to sleep without 35lb of cat pushing into your spine…
*pours cup of cold OJ and scootches over with blankie on couch*

Sorry, but I’m allergic.
Also, THE COLORS!!!!
[from last poat]
Morning Brewfan!

Morning Leon. That’s a no to the cats; sorry dude.
*decides to put child magnetic lock on medicine cabinet so Sean doesn’t bust into my stash again*

Thanks, Cyn. I hope you don’t mind if I mumble a little in my sleep.
Oh sure, Leon. Send ‘em over. I’m only stuck with 4 cats at the moment. What’s two more?
Cyn – dad’s got pneumonia.
Which, isn’t so bad. I mean, at times it’s mersa, so this isn’t as hard to kick.
And just so it’s not missed:
Mumbling is fine–it’s like having the tv on when I go to sleep.
Pneumonia is better than mersa, in the grand scheme of things; good thoughts and prayers aimed at Michigan Car in.
I’ll probably put up with the cats awhile longer. I just really wish ‘sleeping in’ didn’t mean ‘going back to bed after I pacify the ravening beasts’.
I’m going to try to go back to sleep now. Only 5 am here; maybe I can get in 2 more hours.
Save me some Trix and don’t leave the comics in the bathroom please; they smell funny afterwards.
Dogs are kinda the same way Leon.
My dogs only (occasionally) wake me up in the middle of the night. Never in the morning.
I think Oscar is always hoping to find a deer lurking too close to the house. Or other night critters.
“Mumble grumble grffff….uhh..yes Patty Ann, we uhrmh should…marmn…talk.”
*does cute little double leg kick thingy*
Dogs are kinda the same way Leon
Blessedly, my dog’s internal alarm clock is set to something like 8am. It’s the felines that won’t let me sleep past 7.
I’ll take the cats, Leon. Ship ‘em to me overnight in an air-tight container. I’ll handle it from there.
Lady in the header pic ad looks like Jane Wyman.

I’ll keep that offer in mind for the next time one of them decides to destroy something precious.
“Lady in the header pic ad looks like Jane Wyman.”
Is it the mouth? No, wait a minute, that was supposed to be Nancy.
Hey, LauraW didn’t die yet!
YAY!
Howdy folkses.
Moarnin”
Stayed home today. Just did a Bing search for pics of Jane Wyman, clicked to enlarge one, and the home computer exploded with that fucking virus that says it is 78,000 anti-virus scans and alerts.
GAAAHHH.
So I’m on Scott’s laptop and I ain’t clickin’ on nuthin’ don’t care what it is, no way, nuh-uh.
Mornin’ PattyAnn, Mornin’ Dave, Mornin’ Hotspur
Mornin’, Laura. Glad to see you can take some time off to rest.
Man, when you come down with some virus, you don’t fuck around.
Mornin’ laura, how ya feelin’?
* sets down t.v. tray with chicken noodle soup, saltine crackers, ginger ale and a straw *
Yeah, it’s a virus theme weekend at the W homestead.
Fanks Andy. Going to get some more sleep now. Have a great weekend everybody.
She is neither Jane nor Nancy. Judging by her expression, she may be Linda Lovelace?!!?
Who knew Hostages’ wimmens had their own comic book?

How does one start up a computer in safe mode?
Scott, power it up while tapping the F8 key (for a notebook)
Wonder if Roamy knows these folks.

How does one start up a computer in safe mode?
As soon as you turn on the computer, start hitting F12, I believe, and you’ll get a menu with safe mode as an option.
If you get a keyboard error, do it again, but tap the F8 a little bit later.
Then select Safe Mode.
That works for WIndows 7, Vista and XP.
Then staple a chicken to your head, stand on one foot, and punch yourself in the testicles. Do it really hard or it won’t work and you’ll have to start all over.
Also works on desktops for those Winders operating systems. F8.
MUST PUNCH BALLS. Do not skip this step.
F8
Thanks, I will try to save computer later. If I fail it will use it for target practice.

Thanks, Cyn. I hope you don’t mind if I
mumblegrope a little in my sleep.Moarnin.

If you don’t punch yourself in the balls you’re wasting your time.
Morning.
Pups, you wanna impress me? Show me a dog runninn’ a weed-eater.
hey MJ.
re: the header pic. You know, there’s a reason they vacuum pack those food products with seals that are difficult to open.
Here’s a tip kids. If you open a bottle of ketchup and it asplodes on you, do not eat.
Dave gives good advice.
I am a giver.
It is my nature to do so.
*gives Mare the Flying Wallenda
Oh, great. Thanks Dave….
Now you tell me.
MARE!

Show me a dog runninn’ a weed-eater.
Stop by in about 2 hours and I’ll be a-runnin’ one like a sumbitch.
Hello, Pupers!
You’re a good dog….yes, a very good doggie….NOW GET OFF THE SOFA!
Pups, I’d love to stop by and watch someone else do work…
But I’m too lazy even for that. Lemme know if you do come to Rancho whereeverthehellitis in August.
**would love to saddle up Mare**
xbrad, are you still in Palm Springish?
Also, do you have any good tales about your reunion?
Mare, I’m in Irvine today. I’ll head for the desert tomorrow.
No great tales of the reunion. Saw some folks I hadn’t seen in a quarter century. Some had changed. Many were just the same.
One of the girls I had a crush on when I was in Jr. High was there. She was actually glad to see me. I guess the restraining order expired.
Got all my packing done!
I kick ass.
I have a few more pics of the Oregon coast to add, as soon as I find my camera. I’m a crappy photographer, but the coast highway is a terrific drive and it is a stunningly beautiful area.
Scott, that’s great.
Tomorrow, I drive the 24 foot UHaul, and supervise (eldest is moving).
Supervision only, no lifting.
PJ?

Uhaul? You are brave.
Call Penske and see if they will beat or match the price. Their trucks tend to have functioning breaks and steering.
Pffft. Who needs brakes?
Tie something heavy to the back bumper.
How is Laura feeling today?
Not good Mare, she has a high fever.
xbrad, what is that pin in the header of your blog?
What the heck is it? Flu? Something she got from one of the Hostages at the meat-up?
Mornin’ all.
Leon, you haven’t taught your cats how to use the can opener yet? (Shakes head)
Andy, you have some strange breakfast ideas…… (and thanks for the sweet words about Rebecca last night – I went to bed, so I missed most of it).
We had gluten-free waffles for breakfast – and, no, we’re not health nuts; Rebecca and I have Celiac Disease, and Hubs found out he is gluten-sensitive.
NOW GET OFF THE SOFA!
http://tinyurl.com/yz7cs3f
Now Scott, if Dave ties something heavy to the bumper, who’s going to drive the U-Haul? (ducks to avoid whatever Dave decides to throw at me)
*throws a truck
Mare, it’s the Combat Infantryman’s Badge:

TOBY!!!!!!!
hahahahahahahaha
I like that badge.
There is a virus going around that knocks people out for a couple of days.
I think Geoff brought it here from Colorado.
Geoff Flu Pandemic.
hi
There is?
We got out JUST IN TIME.
…
wait, am I a carrier?
Marezydoats, I’m dual qualified. I’ve got the CIB and the Expert Infantry Badge. I actually had to work for the EIB. I wore it about half the time.
Keep a low profile for a while Brad http://i.imgur.com/WVOiI.jpg
Mrs. Pupster has that same flu, she was down for two days, still feeling it on day 4.
Neither of us where in CT, but I met Geoff in Denver the same day she got sick so it may be transmitted by cell phone.
Pupster could you please go take my place at the gym this morning? I’m just not that inspired by the thought.

Which do we care least about – Chelsea’s wedding or how things are going for Lindsey in jail?
Sure Cbird. Your trainer is going to be disappointed in your progress, though.

Got all my packing done!
Packapalooza is over already?
Dang, I guess it’s too late to buy a ticket.
you can’t go there Michael, they gots the plague.
Pupster?

“Packapalooza is over already?”
1st stage is over, when the back spasms subside I will begin stage 2.
new paot
It’s the felines that won’t let me sleep past 7.
I headed this problem off from day one with a new cat. She didn’t get fed until at least an hour after I got up. She was pretty much fooled into not associating waking me with getting fed instantly.
Good morning!
Forgot italics

Scott, do you wear a back brace? We have moved a number of times over the years, and I have noticed that the movers now all seem to wear back braces. Makes sense to me. That is a pretty brutal job, and back muscles are a rather intricate mechanism.
By the way, if you have Windows Vista or later, after you start in Safe Mode and run a virus scan, you can go to Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Reliability and Performance Monitor/Reliability Monitor. It’s a great tool to help you figure out what the heck is going on with your pooter. There might be something similar in XP, but I don’t really know that for sure.
heheh
you gotta love this
